How we verified this directory — Milad Ghobadibeygvand, BScN
Candidates came from seven makers' dealer maps, OpenStreetMap, AI answers and Google Maps searches of all 16 counties, all 19 incorporated cities and all 119 census-designated places. We read each one on its own website, where one loaded, and on Google Maps.
To be listed, a store needs e-bikes for sale on its own site or on a maker's dealer map at its address, and an open listing on Google Maps. We left off rental desks, repair-only shops, motorcycle dealers and closed storefronts, and a candidate nothing could confirm stays an open lead.
Verified November 6, 2026; next check due by February 1, 2027.
Quick Answer
Nevada has 44 verified e-bike shops as of November 6, 2026, in 11 communities across 5 of its 17 counties, Carson City counted as one. Clark County has the most, 24.
Nevada's law defines an e-bike by "an electric motor which produces not more than 750 watts", in three classes (NRS 484B.017), and whether you need a helmet comes down to your city.
No e-bike rebate appears on the 18 Nevada electric utility websites we read, so price your bike without one (rebates).
If no Nevada counter stocks your bike, every e-bike we sell ships free in the contiguous US (shipping policy).
Two of Nevada's four economic development regions hold most of them: Southern (Las Vegas) with 24 and Northern Sierra (Reno) with 19, 43 of the 44 stores listed here, 97.7%, more than their 95.2% share of Nevadans (Census Bureau 2025 estimates). Of the other two, Northeastern (Elko) has 1, and Central (Pahrump) has none.
Each listing gives you the street, a phone number where the sources agree on one, and the check behind the listing.
Nevada's eBike Map, County by County
Find your county in the table: it lists Nevada's seven counties of 50,000 or more people, home to 97.6% of the state (Census Bureau 2025 estimates).
A store counts in the county it stands in. An open lead is a bike business there that no check has shown selling e-bikes yet, so give it a call before you rule it out. One more store stands in a smaller county and appears under its region below.
| Locality | Pop (2025) | Verified stores | Open leads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clark County | 2,407,226 | 24 | 32 |
| Washoe County | 509,386 | 14 | 15 |
| Lyon County | 65,088 | — | — |
| Carson City | 58,571 | 2 | 1 |
| Nye County | 57,336 | — | 1 |
| Elko County | 54,815 | — | 1 |
| Douglas County | 50,111 | 3 | 4 |
Counted by Census boundaries, nine of Nevada's ten places of 50,000 or more, six incorporated cities and the Las Vegas Valley's four largest unincorporated communities, hold verified stores: Reno 8, Las Vegas 7, Paradise 4, Sparks 4, Henderson 3, Spring Valley 3, Carson City 2, Enterprise 1 and Sunrise Manor 1 (Census Bureau 2025 estimates; 2020 Census).
North Las Vegas has none inside its boundaries; if you live there, the nearest-store table gives you the closest counter.
Southern (Las Vegas) has the most stores, 24 of the 44, and 73.3% of Nevadans live there (Census Bureau 2025 estimates). Per resident, Northern Sierra (Reno) has the most, 2.6 stores per 100,000 people, against 1.3 across the state.
Central (Pahrump) has the fewest per resident, with no store for its 1.9% of Nevadans.
In Central (Pahrump), the nearest counters listed here mean a drive: from Pahrump, Best Buy in Las Vegas is 37.3 miles away, and from Tonopah, Big Daddy's Bike & Brew in Gardnerville is 149.6 miles away, each a straight line from the Census Bureau's point for that town. Black Cat Cyclery in Pahrump repairs bikes and could not be read here, so a phone call there is the first thing to try.

Bottom line Start with your county's row in the table: three of the seven counties listed there have no verified store yet. The regional listings below give you every street, and if you live hours from a counter, every e-bike we sell still ships free.
Settle the class before you shop. In Nevada the label on the frame carries the class, the top assisted speed and the wattage, and those three decide what you are buying. Our buying guide works through the specs from the motor down, with a section on choosing between Class 1, 2 and 3.
Read the buying guideNevada eBike Law — 2026 Quick Reference
Read the label on the frame before you read the price tag: Nevada makes the maker print the class, top assisted speed and motor wattage there, and those three numbers decide whether you are buying a bicycle or a motor vehicle (NRS 484B.784(1)).
The statute's electric bicycle is "a device upon which a person may ride, having two or three wheels, or every such device generally recognized as a bicycle that has fully operable pedals, a seat or saddle for the rider, an electric motor which produces not more than 750 watts" and that fits one of three classes. "The term does not include a moped or an electric scooter" (NRS 484B.017).
The state sections below are quoted from the Nevada Revised Statutes in the Legislature's revisions dated September 9, 2026, for chapter 484B and April 15, 2026, for chapters 484A and 482, read in archived copies of its pages (see Limitations). The city and county sections were read on Municode on November 6, 2026.
Our Nevada e-bike law guide goes further, into the federal land that covers most of the state, the state parks and the wording of the 750-watt ceiling.
- Three classes under one watt ceiling. A Class 1 motor "provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling" and stops at "20 miles per hour", a Class 2 motor "may be used exclusively to propel the bicycle" and stops at the same speed, and a Class 3 assists only while you pedal and stops at "28 miles per hour" (NRS 484B.017).
- No registration. The chapter's registration rules "do not apply to" "Electric bicycles" (NRS 482.210(1)(d)), and its definition of a motor vehicle "does not include an electric bicycle or an electric scooter" (NRS 482.075).
- Where bikes go, e-bikes go. You may ride "in places where bicycles are allowed, including, without limitation, streets, highways, roads, roadways, bicycle lanes, bicycle paths and shared-use paths" (NRS 484A.4695(1)). On a roadway you carry "all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle" (NRS 484B.763).
- A path can be closed to you. "A local authority, by ordinance, or a state agency, after notice and a hearing, may prohibit the operation of an electric bicycle or a class of electric bicycles on a bicycle path or shared-use path over which it has jurisdiction" (NRS 484A.4695(2)), so read the sign at the trailhead before you trust the map.
- Dirt trails belong to whoever manages them. A trail "specifically designated as nonmotorized" with "a natural surface tread" sits outside that section, and the agency in charge "may regulate the use of an electric bicycle on that trail" (NRS 484A.4695(3)).
- The label is the maker's job. Since January 1, 2022, a manufacturer or distributor must apply a label "permanently affixed, in a prominent location", printed "in Arial font in at least 9-point type" (NRS 484B.784(1)). If a bike you are shown has none, ask the shop why before you pay.
- Change the speed and you change the label. "A person shall not tamper with or modify an electric bicycle in such a manner as to change the speed capability of the motor or the engagement of an electric bicycle unless the label indicating the classification required by subsection 1 is replaced after modification" (NRS 484B.784(4)).
- Motor cut-off and speedometer. The motor must be "disengaged or ceases to function when" "The rider stops pedaling" or "The brakes are applied" (NRS 484B.784(3)), while the Class 2 definition lets a motor "be used exclusively to propel the bicycle" (NRS 484B.017): the two sit in one chapter, so ask how a throttle bike you are shown shuts off. A Class 3 "must be equipped with a speedometer" (NRS 484B.784(5)).
- Lights after dark. At night you need a front lamp that "emits a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front" and a red rear reflector (NRS 484B.783(1)).
- No state helmet or age rule. The law guide's index check found neither in the statutes. The helmet rules that bind you are local, below.
- What a broken rule can cost. Unless a law says otherwise, breaking the traffic chapters "is a civil infraction" (NRS 484A.900(1)), "punished by a civil penalty of not more than $500 per violation" (NRS 484A.7043(1)). The valley's own fine ladders start at $150 and climb to $600.
Shop for the city you will ride in. State law sets one ceiling of not more than 750 watts (NRS 484B.017) and then lets a local government close its own paths (NRS 484A.4695(2)), so a helmet, a sidewalk and a fine can all change at a city line.
Where a city sets its own rules
The governments of the Las Vegas Valley do not agree on the sidewalk: Clark County and Las Vegas open theirs unless posted, North Las Vegas closes its own unless a sign allows it, and you can cross those lines on an ordinary errand. All three make minors wear a helmet, so the table sets out what changes.
| Where you ride | Sidewalks | Fines |
|---|---|---|
| Unincorporated Clark County | Open unless posted (§ 14.52.025); closed on the Strip (§ 14.42.058) | $150, $300, $600 |
| City of Las Vegas | Open unless posted (§ 11.40.185); closed on Fremont Street's central blocks (§ 11.40.180) | $150, $300, $500 |
| North Las Vegas | Closed unless a sign allows it (§ 10.60.130(C)) | $150, $300, $600 (§ 10.60.150) |
- Unincorporated Clark County (the Strip, Paradise, Spring Valley, Sunrise Manor and Enterprise). "Unless otherwise designated and/or posted", an e-bike may use "a roadway, sidewalk, or a lane, path, or route designated for bicycle, electric bicycle, or electric scooter use", county parks and park trails, with 15 miles per hour the limit in a county park. "Minors must wear a helmet at all times", every e-bike needs "a bell or horn", and fines run $150, $300 and $600, with parents "held financially responsible" (Clark County Code § 14.52.025). The Strip is the exception: no e-bike "on any public sidewalk or public pedestrian easement in the restricted area" (§ 14.42.058).
- City of Las Vegas. Sidewalks and roadways are open "Unless otherwise designated or posted", minors "must wear a helmet at all times", and fines run $150, $300 and $500 (LVMC § 11.40.185). The sidewalks "on Fremont Street between Main Street and Seventh Street" stay closed (§ 11.40.180).
- North Las Vegas. The city's 2026 rewrite runs the other way on sidewalks: "No person shall operate an Electric Micromobility Device on any City-owned sidewalk, unless authorized by a posted sign" (§ 10.60.130(C)). "Minors must wear a helmet at all times" (§ 10.60.135). Fines run $150, $300 and $600, and a violation "may also result in impounding" (§ 10.60.150).
- Henderson. The parks chapter caps "similar motorized forms of transportation" at "15 miles per hour in any park, trail or recreation facility, unless otherwise posted" (§ 2.27.030). Its definition says "an electric motor of less than 750 watts" (§ 2.27.020) where the statute it cites says "not more than 750 watts" (NRS 484B.017), so a bike rated at exactly 750 W reads differently in Henderson's parks.
- Boulder City. You may ride "on a roadway, sidewalk, bicycle lane, multi-use path, trail, or route", at no more than "fifteen (15) miles per hour" on a sidewalk or multi-use path, "with the exception of the River Mountains Loop Trail", and "Persons under the age of eighteen (18) must wear a helmet at all times" (§ 10-7-2).
- Reno. The city's e-bike section is a franchise rule for dockless share fleets (§ 5.90.1180), so it does not touch the bike you buy.
- Sparks. Its share-fleet franchise chapter is Reno's twin (ch. 5.82). Its traffic title is older: a bicycle is "a device propelled by human power" (§ 10.08.040), and a resident may not ride one on a street "unless such bicycle has been licensed and a license plate is attached thereto" (§ 10.72.010). Neither section says whether an e-bike counts, so ask the city before you rely on either reading.
- Washoe County. The parks code bars riding an e-bike on "a designated off-street bicycle trail in a manner which is unsafe" (§ 95.210).
- Carson City. Its code names no e-bike today, and that may change: the city surveyed residents on e-bikes and other electric devices on its roads, bike lanes, paths and trails, and the results go to a joint meeting of its Parks and Recreation Commission and Open Space Advisory Committee on December 1, 2026 (the city's notice). Its Sheriff's Office warned in July that a high-powered electric dirt bike is a motor vehicle, kept off its sidewalks, bike lanes and community parks (Carson Now).
A search for the word helmet in the Reno, Sparks and Washoe County codes on November 6, 2026, returned no section, while the same search for the word bicycle returned sections in all three.
Utility rebates
Price your bike without a rebate: none of the 18 Nevada electric utility websites we read on November 6, 2026, offers one for buying an e-bike, though ten of those sites could be read only in part. Ask the utility on your bill before you buy.
NV Energy, with 94.8% of the customers Form EIA-861 counts in Nevada, comes closest, and its money goes to the sites that host chargers. Its Outdoor Recreation program sets out "up to ten bike chargers at Sand Harbor State Park" on Lake Tahoe and says of Red Rock Canyon: "The installation of up to ten electric bike chargers will provide an additional amenity for tourists and visitors."
Its downtown flyer covers "electric micro-mobility options like e-bikes and e-scooters in select downtown locations" in Las Vegas or Reno. Those lines pay a site host and take nothing off your bike's price, and neither document says the chargers were built.
The Department of Energy's Nevada register lists 29 incentives and laws, none mentioning a bicycle.
Riding to work in Las Vegas or Reno? Nevada puts all three classes on the same streets and shared paths, so the choice comes down to your commute. Our commuter guide lists its picks by the trip, so you can settle the class for your route before you compare prices.

The listings follow the four regions on the Governor's Office of Economic Development's map of Nevada's Regional Development Authorities (GOED): Southern, Northern Sierra, Northeastern and Central. Each of the 17 counties sits in exactly one region, so you can start from yours.
Inside a region, a store sits under the town on its mailing address. That town is only a post office's name, which is how a Las Vegas address ends up outside Las Vegas.
We placed each store below by its own point with the Census geocoder:
- Twelve of the nineteen listed stores mailed to Las Vegas stand outside its city limits, in unincorporated Paradise (4), unincorporated Spring Valley (3), unincorporated Winchester (2), unincorporated Enterprise, unincorporated Summerlin South and unincorporated Sunrise Manor.
- All eight listed stores mailed to Reno stand inside its city limits.
- All three listed stores mailed to Henderson stand inside its city limits.
Across the state, fifteen of the 44 stores that print a mailing town stand outside the place that town names (each inside another city, town or census-designated place; Census geocoder), so check a store's street as well as its town before you drive.
If you live near the state line, the stores across it are in the California, Arizona, Utah and Oregon directories, and the national directory links every state that has one.
Southern (Las Vegas): 24 listed across 4 communities
The city of Las Vegas has a page of its own: our Las Vegas e-bike shop directory takes each store inside its line and just past it, with hours and brands.

Riding Nevada dirt as well as its pavement? On a natural-surface trail designated nonmotorized, the agency that runs it "may regulate the use of an electric bicycle on that trail" (NRS 484A.4695(3)), so ask that manager before you unload. The mountain-bike guide starts with the spec that decides where a bike is allowed, and its picks are built for singletrack marked non-motorized.

Who sells electric bikes in Nevada?
The 44 storefronts on this page do, in 11 communities across 5 of Nevada's 17 counties, and Clark County has the most (24). The last item on each listing is the check behind it, and where that is a maker's dealer map, the grade names the maker and links its locator, so you can open the map yourself before you call.
Where are the e-bike shops in Las Vegas?
Seven verified stores are inside Las Vegas's city limits, Best Buy (two stores), Bike World and Epic E-Bike Adventures among them (Census geocoder). Outside the city, Clark County has seventeen more, in unincorporated Paradise (4), Henderson (3), unincorporated Spring Valley (3), unincorporated Winchester (2), Boulder City, Mesquite, unincorporated Enterprise, unincorporated Summerlin South and unincorporated Sunrise Manor.
The Southern (Las Vegas) listing on this page gives you each store's street and verifying check, and its phone where a source prints one.
Our Las Vegas directory adds each shop's hours and brands.
Where are the e-bike shops in Reno?
Eight verified stores are inside Reno's city limits, Another Bike Shop, Black Rock Bicycles and College Cyclery among them (Census geocoder). Outside the city, Washoe County has six more, in Sparks (4), unincorporated Incline Village and unincorporated Spanish Springs. The Northern Sierra (Reno) listing on this page gives you each store's street and verifying check, and its phone where a source prints one.
Where are the e-bike shops in Henderson?
Three verified stores are inside Henderson's city limits: Giant Las Vegas on S Green Valley Pkwy, Swanny's Cycles on W Horizon Ridge Pkwy and Trek Bicycle on South Stephanie St (Census geocoder). The Southern (Las Vegas) listing on this page gives you each store's street and verifying check, and its phone where a source prints one.
Are e-bikes street legal in Nevada?
Yes, if the bike meets the statute's definition: pedals, a seat, and "an electric motor which produces not more than 750 watts" in one of three classes (NRS 484B.017). You may ride "in places where bicycles are allowed", streets and shared-use paths included (NRS 484A.4695(1)), and registration does "not apply to" electric bicycles (NRS 482.210(1)(d)).
A local authority or state agency may close its own path to "a class of electric bicycles" (NRS 484A.4695(2)). Read the sign, and buy to the label: a machine past the ceiling is outside the definition.
Does Nevada have a helmet law for e-bike riders?
Not at the state level, as the law guide's index check shows, but your city may have one. Minors "must wear a helmet at all times" in unincorporated Clark County (§ 14.52.025(D)), and the same words bind them in Las Vegas (§ 11.40.185) and North Las Vegas (§ 10.60.135). Boulder City sets the line at "under the age of eighteen (18)" (§ 10-7-2).
Fines for a young rider reach you: in Clark County, parents or guardians are "held financially responsible" for a minor's violation (§ 14.52.025(F)).
Can you ride an e-bike on the sidewalk in Las Vegas?
Inside the city, yes, "Unless otherwise designated or posted" (LVMC § 11.40.185(A)), but not "on Fremont Street between Main Street and Seventh Street" (§ 11.40.180). On the Strip the answer is no: Clark County bars an e-bike "on any public sidewalk or public pedestrian easement in the restricted area" (§ 14.42.058), which takes in "That portion of Las Vegas Boulevard from Russell Road to Sahara Avenue" (§ 14.42.020(g)).
In North Las Vegas the answer flips: stay off any "City-owned sidewalk, unless authorized by a posted sign" (§ 10.60.130(C)).
Is there an e-bike rebate in Nevada?
Not from a utility, on the pages we could read: none of the 18 Nevada electric utility websites we read on November 6, 2026, offers a rebate for buying an e-bike. NV Energy's plan funds charging at host sites and leaves your purchase alone. The rebate section has the details, so ask the utility on your bill before you buy.
The Bottom Line
Nevada's 44 verified counters stand in 5 of its 17 counties, and nine of its ten places of 50,000 or more have one inside their boundaries. Southern (Las Vegas) has 24, while Central (Pahrump) has 0. From a county with none, a demo of the bike you want can mean hours on the road, so call before you go.
Bottom line Settle the motor rating first, then the stock list. Nevada's e-bike has "an electric motor which produces not more than 750 watts" (NRS 484B.017), the registration rules "do not apply to" it (NRS 482.210(1)(d)), and every e-bike we sell ships free within the contiguous United States (shipping policy).
Buy from a Nevada shop if you want to ride the bike before you pay, have it fitted the day you collect it, and keep a service counter near home for its first tune-up.
Order online if nothing within your drive has the bike you have picked.
Buying from us when no Nevada shop floor has the bike you want. Shipping is free on every e-bike we carry within the contiguous United States, Nevada included. Your order is dispatched within 1 to 3 business days of confirmation, and most bikes arrive within 5 to 10 business days of leaving us (shipping policy). The checkout we read on November 6, 2026, took payment by card or with Google Pay.
Your maker's warranty comes with the bike, and if it will not power on, will not charge or throws an error code, we work through the repair or the replacement with you remotely (refund policy).
Photograph a damaged carton within 48 hours of delivery, and we file the carrier claim and arrange the repair or a replacement at no cost to you (refund policy). The company that sells to you is named in our terms of service, and support@redtailebikes.com takes any question about an order, its shipping or its warranty.
Not sure which bike suits the riding you do? Email sales@redtailebikes.com with your Nevada town and your plans, a commute across the Las Vegas Valley, weekends in the hills above Reno or long dirt roads out past Ely, and we usually reply within one business day (contact page). The advice costs nothing.
When you get it home, take a photo of the class label and keep the receipt with the model on it. A manufacturer or distributor must apply to each e-bike a label "permanently affixed, in a prominent location", with the "classification number, maximum assisted speed and wattage of motor" (NRS 484B.784(1)), and that label answers most questions a path sign or an officer can raise.

How the count was reached
Each storefront counts once: 44 verified storefronts, every one listed above.
The candidate pool. OpenStreetMap held 31 entries tagged as bicycle shops inside Nevada; dropping the unnamed ones and merging repeats left 30, of which 7 list a website. Seven makers' dealer locators added 40 storefront rows: the dealer maps of Aventon, Giant, Trek, Specialized, Velotric, Pedego and SWFT.
- Lectric. Lectric's map marks two Nevada locations, for retail sales and test rides, and two as a retail store. E-Bike Hub in Reno is listed above and Radical eBikes in Las Vegas is listed above, on their own evidence.
- Bakcou. Bakcou's dealer locator (its Stockist list, read whole, 190 locations) places one in Nevada, Reno-Sparks Scheels in Sparks, filed as carrying its inventory, and Bakcou makes only e-bikes. That map is why the store is listed above: SCHEELS's own pages answered a security check.
- SWFT. SWFT sells through Best Buy, and two of the 267 pages in its store sitemap are for Nevada stores; both Best Buy stores are listed above.
- QuietKat and Magnum. Two more makers' finders were each read in full for Nevada: QuietKat's store finder shows twenty locations in the state, and Magnum's dealer list (Stockist, the finder behind Magnum's Nevada page) shows three locations among its 221; every lead from both went through the same checks as the rest.
Bosch's dealer map could not be read for Nevada on November 6, 2026, so you will not find a store here on a Bosch listing alone. Each route tried is in the table.
| Route to Bosch's dealer map | What it returned |
|---|---|
| Our script, six requests to Bosch's site, November 6, 2026 | HTTP 403 on all six, five of them CloudFront's "Request blocked" page |
| A headless Chrome browser, the same day | HTTP 403 |
| The Internet Archive's copy of the search page | Not read: the archive's availability service answered HTTP 429 twice |
| Bosch's answers to the searches run for our Oregon and Las Vegas directories, October 27 to 28, 2026 | 9 Nevada stores: 6 listed above, 3 not counted, each below |
A listing read weeks earlier for another page shows what Bosch said that day, not a check made today, so no store here is counted on a Bosch listing alone. The three not counted, with what the checks here found:
- REI, Henderson: could not be read, so call before you go.
- Hutch's Bicycle Garage, Las Vegas: could not be read, so call before you go.
- Pro Cyclery, Las Vegas: Google Maps marks it permanently closed.
REI's pages for its three Nevada stores, in Henderson, Las Vegas Boca Park and Reno, were read only in the Internet Archive's copies (captured February 9 to October 13, 2026): rei.com answered HTTP 403 on November 6, 2026. None is counted: an archived copy shows what a page said when captured, not what the store sells today.
Trek's own store pages name four Nevada stores, Trek Bicycle Henderson, Trek Bicycle Las Vegas Rental Center, Trek Bicycle Las Vegas West and Trek Bicycle Reno. Trek's index names nine store sitemaps and its site served eight, so a Trek store listed only in the ninth would be missing here. SCHEELS's two Nevada stores reach this page through Trek's dealer map, but SCHEELS's own pages answer a security check, so one is not counted.
| Where the Google Maps search ran | Places searched |
|---|---|
| Counties | all 16 |
| Incorporated cities | all 19 |
| Census-designated places | 119 |
| ZIP areas of Las Vegas (19), Reno (13), Henderson (10), North Las Vegas (8), Paradise (7), Spring Valley (6), Enterprise (5), Sunrise Manor (4) and Sparks (3) | 75 |
| "Electric bike shop" searches, one per place above | 229 |
The Google Maps search asked for bike shops and then for electric bike shops in each of those places: 458 searches, which with the follow-up reads they led to produced 62 candidates to check.
Every business the AI engines named in answering the 13 questions was checked against the sweep, and the twenty-three it lacked were looked up on Google Maps.
| Businesses | What Google Maps showed |
|---|---|
| 5 | Listed here: Las Vegas Cyclery, Pedal Sports, Swanny's Cycles, The Bike Smith and Trek Bicycle Las Vegas West |
| 2 | Open leads: Anderson Powersports Reno and Kiwanis Activity Center and Bike Program |
| 6 | Marked permanently closed |
| 9 | No listing (Maps returned other businesses) |
| 1 | On Google Maps under neither their name nor their one published phone |
Pedego's Nevada dealer page lists one store, in Reno, counted above as Pedego Reno.
Reddit was searched for riders' questions and the shops they name, through the Arctic Shift archive of its posts: 37 of 39 searches answered, in r/Nevada, r/Reno and r/carsoncity, and in r/bicycling, r/ebikes and r/mtb for Nevada's place names; the other two, in r/carsoncity, could not be read; the 1,214 replies under the 90 posts found were read for shop names too.
The Las Vegas subreddits were searched for our Las Vegas directory.
Two public shop directories were read whole too: Singletracks' Nevada list (25 shops) and the Nevada section of Cycling West's shop directory (five entries). Bikerumor's, Pinkbike's and Trailforks' Nevada lists answered HTTP 403, so they could not be read.
All but four of Singletracks' names and all five of Cycling West's were already in the sweep, and the four it lacked were looked up on Google Maps; none is an open store to add. One is marked permanently closed, and three returned no business of that name.
Levy Electric's town pages list bike, scooter and motorcycle businesses by town: 243 Nevada listings across 51 towns, 133 of them new to the sweep. Each new name was read, and the twelve that could be a bicycle trade were looked up on Google Maps.
The test a store's own website had to pass. It had to offer e-bikes for sale in its own words: a price, a category that lists an e-bike, or a sentence saying the shop sells them. An e-bike that appears only on a repair menu, a rental price list, a giveaway, a trail notice or a parts page does not qualify, and neither does a car or powersports dealer's e-bike page.
When a site would not load, it was opened again in a real browser and then from an archived copy. A candidate whose first read showed no e-bike for sale was crawled page by page, up to 250 pages a site, so a shop that keeps its e-bikes deep in its catalog still counts.
Then the forty-four leads with no site of their own, or none that would load, were worked again: a search for each name, and, where one could settle it, a second Google Maps read or a second read of the shop's own pages.
| Leads | Where they ended |
|---|---|
| 6 | Sell e-bikes and are listed above: E-Bike Market Place in Las Vegas, Ultech Ebike in Las Vegas, Trek Bicycle in Henderson, Trek Bicycle in Reno, Trek Bicycle Las Vegas West in Las Vegas and Scheels in Sparks |
| 2 | Have closed, marked permanently closed on Google Maps |
| 4 | Have pages of their own, each read on its own site on November 6, 2026, and none of them offers an e-bike for sale |
| 8 | Are not bicycle stores (four motorcycle and powersports businesses, two vehicle dealers, one transit bike-parking center and one free public bike repair stand) |
| 1 | Rents bikes and sells no e-bike |
| 7 | Were second listings of a place already read |
| 16 | Are still open leads |
A maker's dealer map is the other road onto this list: a store counts when the dealer map of SWFT, Aventon, Pedego or Bakcou places it at its address as an e-bike dealer.
The final check was each store's own Google Maps listing: 42 of the 44 resolved to one business at the listed address that Google shows open; the other two show their hours and no closed notice on Google Maps (two on their own panels, whose streets the listings print). A store Google marks closed, even temporarily, is left off.
How to read the listings
The grade at the end of each listing tells you what confirmed that the store sells e-bikes.
Site checked applies to 35 of the 44: the shop's own website sells e-bikes.
Chain site checked applies to 4: one website serves several storefronts (for example All Mountain Cyclery and Bike World), so it proves the business sells e-bikes, and the listing tells you which branch you are visiting.
A maker's dealer map applies to 5: the maker lists the store as an authorized e-bike dealer, and the grade links you to that maker's locator. Of those 5, 4 have a website that did not show e-bikes for sale in its own words (or could not be read) and 1 has no website of its own, so the maker's map is the evidence.

You see a phone number on a listing when its sources agree, or when only one gives a number; where a maker's roster and Google Maps disagree, the store's own site decides, and where the site decides nothing the listing shows no number. Whatever the grade, call before you drive.
Why the map is thin where it is thin
OpenStreetMap carries 14 of the 44 storefronts on this page, so if you searched that map alone, you would miss 30 of them. Counting the stores only one source carried, the makers' dealer maps found 19, the statewide Google Maps search 6 and the sweep behind our Las Vegas directory 1.
Google Maps marks 14 storefronts that a maker's roster or another source still lists as closed (12 permanently, 2 temporarily), so you will not find them above.
Limitations
- 57 candidates remain open leads, named in the research files and not counted: 31 with sites that name no e-bike for sale, 17 that could not be confirmed and 9 with no website of their own. Each deserves a phone call before you rule it out; none is a finding that the business does not sell e-bikes.
- Why 17 could not be confirmed: four whose sites would not load; two whose websites' domains do not resolve; one whose address its own site's list of stores does not carry; one that a maker's dealer map lists at an address where Google Maps holds no such shop; three whose store pages name no e-bike while the chain's online shop, which listed e-bikes when last archived, would not load; three whose stores name no e-bike while their chains' online shops list some, with no word of which store holds them; and three whose own store pages were not read, while the chain's online shop, which listed e-bikes when last archived, would not load.
- Named and not counted: 23 listings that are not a bicycle store (eight motorcycle and powersports businesses, four businesses in other trades, three mobile bike services that come to the rider, two clubs and repair co-ops, two vehicle dealers, one maker's office or workshop, one online seller's office, one transit bike-parking center and one free public bike repair stand), 14 closed storefronts (12 permanently, 2 temporarily), 9 businesses that rent bikes and sell no e-bike and 8 duplicate listings.
- County and city lines are the Census Bureau's. A store counts toward a county, or toward a place of 50,000 or more, only when its own point stands inside that boundary, so a store with a Las Vegas, Reno or Sparks mailing address can stand outside the city you expect. None of Nevada's six incorporated cities of 50,000 or more crosses a county line (Census Bureau 2025 estimates), but Clark County's largest communities are unincorporated, so a Las Vegas address often stands in no city at all.
- City rules come from the codes of Clark County, Washoe County, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, Reno and Sparks. A Nevada local authority may close its own paths by ordinance (NRS 484A.4695(2)), and the state has 19 incorporated cities and 17 counties. Our Nevada e-bike law guide resolved all 36 of the state's local governments to a code host or named them as having none, and five publish no code it could locate. This page re-read fifteen codes on November 6, 2026, so a place outside those may have a rule of its own.
- Where each local rule was read. The rules quoted above were read on Municode on November 6, 2026, each code at the section it cites. The codes of Carson City, Douglas County, Fallon, Fernley, Lander County, Storey County and Winnemucca were searched the same day and name no e-bike; Churchill and Nye counties' search control returned nothing, so those two could not be checked.
- Where the statutes were read. The Legislature's site answered HTTP 403 to our reads on November 6, 2026, so chapters 484B, 484A and 482 were read in the Internet Archive's copies of its own pages, captured October 19, September 9 and August 20, 2026, each carrying the revision date printed above. All 17 e-bike sections compared match our deposit of September 6, 2026.
- This is a floor, not a census. A shop on no maker's dealer map, absent from OpenStreetMap and missing from Google Maps would not be found here. A Maps search by name can also return a shop in a same-named town in another state, such as Las Vegas, New Mexico or Reno, Ohio, so every address was checked for Nevada before a store was counted.
- Bosch's dealer map could not be read. Its site refused every request we sent on November 6, 2026, so a store whose only evidence is a Bosch listing is not counted. The two of its listings that could not be read are worth a call from you, and a Bosch dealer that the Oregon and Las Vegas directories' searches did not reach would be missing here.
- Demand evidence. The questions this page answers come from 1,396 Google and Bing completions and related searches and 90 Nevada forum posts read on November 6, 2026, and from AI search engines' answers to 13 questions on November 6, 2026: Gemini and a web-search tool run in place of the engines that could not be read answered all 13.
- What could not be measured. Brave Search, ChatGPT, Copilot Search, Google AI Mode and Perplexity gave no usable answer: each met our headless browser with a bot check or an empty reply, and none was retried in a visible window. No search-volume figure is used: the paid keyword tool's account had no API units left on November 6, 2026, so no volume was measured, and an unmeasured volume is not a zero.
- What would age this page. It is due for re-checking by February 1, 2027, and sooner if a listed shop closes or moves, if the Legislature amends NRS 484B.017 or 484A.4695, if a city or county adopts or changes an e-bike rule (Carson City's survey results go to a joint meeting on December 1, 2026), if a utility starts an e-bike rebate, or when the Census Bureau publishes new local estimates.
- Distances are straight lines. The nearest-store table measures from each city's Census point to each store's coordinates, so your road distance is longer.
- Electric utility websites read. EIA Form 861 names 19 electric distribution utilities in Nevada in its 2025 and 2024 data; the websites of 18 were read on November 6, 2026, 8 in full and 10 in part. NV Energy's site draws its pages by script, so it was read in a real browser from its own sitemap. Four sites stopped answering and were finished in the Internet Archive's dated copies. Ask the utility on your bill before you buy.
- Electric utilities not read. One utility, Alamo Power District No. 3, has no website any search found, so this page says nothing either way about it.
