Heybike's own photograph of its Ranger 3.0 Pro in Ruby Red in a studio scene we generated, under the headline Who makes Heybike. All 15 models., with $699 to $2,099 · 20 to 50 mph · two-year warranty and a badge: 9 bikes we sell beside them, from $1,099

Heybike, read in full on October 25, 2026: both US stores, its manuals, policies and help center, federal trademark and safety registers, TÜV Rheinland's certificates and the state statutes. Who makes the bikes, every model sold in the US, where each stands under the law, and nine bikes we sell beside them. The cover bike is Heybike's own photograph of its Ranger 3.0 Pro in Ruby Red, in a studio we generated.

Quick Answer — Heybike ebikes are folding, fat-tire, commuter and moped-style e-bikes sold from heybike.com by Heybike Inc., a California corporation with its principal address in Farmers Branch, Texas; Heybike's own blog calls the company "Based in China". On October 25, 2026, its two US stores sold 15 machines from $699 to $2,099, two of them off-road dirt bikes.

No CPSC recall, product safety warning or news release named Heybike or any of its models when all three registers were read on October 25, 2026 (CPSC recalls). TÜV Rheinland's register lists UL 2849 certificates that name the Ranger 3.0 Pro, the Tyson and the Cityrun, and a UL 2271 certificate for three battery packs.

Ten of Heybike's 13 e-bikes, the refurbished three included, print 28 mph with a throttle, which sits outside the e-bike definition in 49 of the 51 US jurisdictions. The Ranger 3.0 Pro, Titan and refurbished Tyson ship set to 20 mph, and at that setting a 750 W Heybike meets the definition in 29 (our Heybike lineup dataset). Where each model stands has the detail.

If you are shopping, nine bikes we sell stand beside the Heybike models, each on a rated motor and top speed its maker prints at or under the Heybike figure, from $1,099, and every e-bike we sell ships free to the lower 48 (our shipping policy).

What decides a Heybike After price ($799 to $1,699 new, from $699 refurbished), two things decide it: the speed setting you will ride at, because that decides your state's rules, and where you buy, because Heybike's warranty terms apply "only" to bikes sold on heybike.com. Our e-bike brands list sets Heybike beside the other brands selling e-bikes in the US.

How we verified this profile. Written by Milad Ghobadibeygvand, BScN (Western University, 2014).

Heybike's US store, heybike.com, and its dirt-bike store, sports.heybike.com, were read in full on October 25, 2026: both store records, 207 product pages, 45 collections, 130 store pages, the policy pages and 618 blog pages, plus 53 help-center articles and the 40 owner's manual files Heybike links (37 distinct manuals), saved and searched.

Every manual was machine-read from its page images as well as its text, and every manual line quoted here was checked against its page. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's records, California's business register, TÜV Rheinland's certificate register and all three CPSC registers were read the same day, as were the statutes and the nine cards' prices, stock and specifications at their makers.

The page cites 104 documents, every one retrieved in full and kept as a dated deposit copy; the UL Solutions, CSA and Intertek certificate registers could not be read that day (limitations).

The speed-and-class screen runs Heybike's printed figures through each jurisdiction's e-bike definition in our state-by-state rule table, and every count on the page comes from a saved file that can be re-run.

Who makes Heybike, and where is it based?

Heybike Inc. sells the bikes in the US, and its own blog describes a company based in China with North American headquarters in Texas. The records below show who holds the name and where the company is registered. None of them says which factory builds a given bike.

The store's own record

Both stores run on Shopify and price in US dollars; heybike.com's store record lists Ontario, California, and the dirt-bike store's Farmers Branch, Texas. The owner's manuals name who answers for your bike: 31 of the 37 distinct manuals print support@heybike.com, and the Ranger 3.0 Pro's adds two US phone numbers, +1 888 301 6908 and +1 888 859 1518 (Ranger 3.0 Pro manual).

California's business register lists Heybike Inc., entity No. 5401098, as a California stock corporation first filed on December 29, 2022, active and in good standing, with its principal address at 14231 Inwood Road in Farmers Branch, Texas (California Secretary of State, bizfile search). TÜV Rheinland's certificates give the holder's address as 18351 Colima Road, Suite 277, in Rowland Heights, California.

Heybike's own pages name a second company. The dirt-bike store's contact page gives its trade name as Heybike Sports and its physical address as "Galaxy Mobility INC, 14231 Inwood Rd, Farmers Branch TX 75244", the street address California's register lists for Heybike Inc. (Heybike Sports contact information).

Heybike's payment page, in its steps for a declined card payment, gives a "Benef.Address" of "Galaxy Mobility Inc, 3110EGuasti Rd, Suite 320, Ontario, CA 91761", in the city heybike.com's store record lists.

California's register lists Galaxy Mobility Inc as entity No. 5995501, a California stock corporation first filed on November 30, 2023, active and in good standing, with the same principal address as Heybike Inc. and the same registered agent, Frontier Tax Consulting (California Secretary of State, bizfile search). None of these records says how the two companies are related.

Who owns the HEYBIKE name

Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd., of Shenzhen, is the registrant of the HEYBIKE mark for bicycles, U.S. Registration No. 6,976,609, which dates from February 14, 2023. The same record shows a recorded assignment and names HEYBIKE INC. of Rowland Heights, California as the last listed owner (USPTO record, serial 90309600).

On January 15, 2026, Heybike Inc. filed HEYBIKE VILLAIN for motorized and electric bicycles; the examining office had mailed a non-final action when the record was read (USPTO record, serial 99597915). Three earlier HEYBIKE applications, filed in 2021 and 2022 by an individual applicant in Shenzhen, were abandoned.

People also ask whether Heybike and Jasion are one company. Shenzhen Infino Technology also owns the JASION mark, and Heybike's 2022 press release calls its founder and CEO "Jasion"; our Jasion profile sets out those records. They show a shared origin for the two names, and they say nothing about which factory builds a Heybike or a Jasion now.

UL Solutions lists Galaxy Mobility Inc as the holder of performance marks for e-bike models named "Mars 2.0, ALPHA" (the range marks) and, from March 9, 2026 to March 8, 2027, for models named "EB5 MAX, Ranger, RetroVolt, X-Hunter, YR20" (UL Verify, V983037). The X-Hunter and RetroVolt Pro are on Jasion's US store; neither mark names a brand or a factory.

How Heybike describes itself

Heybike's own post naming it the official e-bike partner of the San Antonio Spurs, dated August 12, 2026, says: "Based in China, with North American headquarters located in Texas, Heybike has established a significant US presence" (Heybike blog). The same post quotes "Jason Fang, Heybike founder" and counts "over 500 local dealers across the country".

Its store says the bikes are "TUV Certified In accordance with UL 2849", and its help center says "All Heybike e-bikes comply with US laws and regulations, and our e-bikes are also safety-certified with UL2849 Standards" (Heybike help center). The certificates section shows which models the public register names.

Where the bikes ship from, and where they are made

Heybike ships from US warehouses. Its shipping policy lists "US Local warehouses (CA, NJ)" (Heybike shipping policy), and the dirt-bike store's names "warehouses located in California, Georgia, New Jersey, and Florida" (Heybike Sports shipping policy). Neither says where a bike is assembled.

None of the 37 distinct owner's manuals prints a country of manufacture, read from the text and again from the page images. The only origin sentence we found on Heybike's pages is the Spurs post's "Based in China". If where a bike is made decides your purchase, ask Heybike in writing for that model before you order.

Dealers and test rides

Heybike's Find a Dealer page advertises "500+ Partner Stores" and a test ride, and says: "E-bike purchased from these offline channels is also covered by Heybike's warranty." Heybike's warranty terms say something narrower: they apply "only" to bikes sold on heybike.com, and "Other ways to buy Heybike electric bikes (Amazon, offline dealers, Best Buy, etc) are subject to the corresponding warranty policies" (Heybike warranty).

Before you buy from a shop Ask the shop in writing whose warranty covers the bike and who handles a claim, because Heybike's dealer page and its warranty terms answer that differently. The dealer page also asks you to "contact us or call the offline shop to ask if the model you would like is available".

13 of Heybike's 15 machines start under $1,500. Our under-$1,500 guide compares the e-bikes we sell at that price, and every e-bike we sell ships free to the lower 48.

The safety record: recalls, warnings and the UL certificates

No federal recall, warning or news release names Heybike, and the public certificate register names three current models. The one government report we found concerns a Heybike sold in the United Kingdom, not in the US.

The CPSC's recall database, its product safety warnings and its news releases were each read in full on October 25, 2026, for Heybike and 30 Heybike model names: none named Heybike or a Heybike model (CPSC recalls; product safety warnings). Each register's search first returned a known e-bike record, so the empty result is a reading, not a failed search.

The UK report on a model sold outside the US

On December 23, 2025, the UK's Office for Product Safety and Standards published report PSD 2508-0073 on a Heybike "EC COMPACT CITY" e-bike. It found that "the rear brake does not operate as required", because "mineral oil can leak out of the rear brake lever", rated the risk high, and recorded that "The import has been rejected at the border" (GOV.UK report).

The EC Compact City is not listed on either Heybike US store, and the report gives its country of origin as Singapore. It is a record about one model in another market. If you own a Heybike with hydraulic brakes, the habit it points to is worth keeping anyway: squeeze both levers before every ride and stop if one goes soft.

The TÜV Rheinland certificates, model by model

TÜV Rheinland's public register lists three certificates under Heybike's names, read on October 25, 2026:

Certificate Holder Standard Issued What it names
CU 72301757, page 1 Heybike Inc., Rowland Heights ANSI/CAN/UL 2849:2022, Electric Bike August 14, 2023 "Brawn, Brawn 2.0, Brawn 2.0-ST, Tyson"; "Ranger S"; "Cityrun Heybike"
CU 72301757, page 2 Heybike Inc. ANSI/CAN/UL 2849:2022, Electrical Systems for eBikes November 18, 2025 "Ranger 3.0 Pro"
CU 72608176 Heybike Inc. ANSI/CAN/UL/ULC 2271:2018, Li-ion Battery July 23, 2026 three battery pack part numbers, no bike model
AE 50680814 Heybike GmbH, Düsseldorf EN 15194:2017+A1 (Europe) June 6, 2025 Galaxy-C, -K, -X, -M and -T, none of them on the US stores

Of the 15 machines on the US stores, three are named on these certificates: the Ranger 3.0 Pro (2025 page) and the refurbished Tyson and Cityrun (2023 page). The Mars 2.5, Mars 3.0, Ranger S 2.0, Alpha, Cityscape 2.0, Venus, Hybrid, Saturn, Titan, refurbished Mars 2.0, V1 and V1 Pro are not named on any certificate page we could read.

That is a statement about this register, not about the bikes. UL Solutions, CSA and Intertek keep their own certificate registers, and none of the three could be read on October 25, 2026. Heybike's product pages print "UL 2849" for the Saturn and ten other machines these certificates do not name, so ask Heybike for the certificate number for the model you want; a certificate number takes a minute to check.

UL Solutions' Verified Marks for range

Heybike's post on CES 2025 says the company "earned the UL Verified Mark for Micromobility Performance" at the show (Heybike blog). UL Solutions' Verified Mark directory lists Galaxy Mobility Inc, the company Heybike's contact and payment pages name, as the holder of a mark for e-bike models named "Mars 2.0, ALPHA", valid from December 18, 2024 to December 17, 2026 (UL Verify, V282362).

The mark covers two measures, each taken in "pure electric drive mode" at 25°C (77°F). Range: 70 km (43 miles) for the Mars 2.0 carrying 75 kg (165 lb) at up to 15 km/h (9.3 mph), and 47 km (29 miles) for the ALPHA carrying 181.5 kg (400 lb) at up to 25 km/h (15.5 mph).

Energy use: 0.85 kWh per 100 km for the Mars 2.0 and 1.3 for the ALPHA. UL Solutions says a verification "confirms the accuracy of marketing claims", so this mark backs those range and energy figures; for electrical safety, you still need your model's UL 2849 certificate number. Before you set the figures against your own ride or another bike's range, check the load, top speed and temperature behind each.

The Heybike eBike lineup in the US: 15 models, side by side

Heybike sold 15 machines on its two US stores on October 25, 2026, and the price you pay ranges from $699 for a refurbished Mars 2.0 to $2,099 for the V1 Pro dirt bike. Every figure in the table is Heybike's own, read that day on the listing named.

Model Price Motor, as Heybike rates it Top speed, as Heybike prints it Load limit
Ranger S 2.0 $999 750 W rated, 1,400 W peak 28 mph 400 lb
Ranger 3.0 Pro $1,399 750 W sustained, 1,400 W peak 28 mph 440 lb
Mars 2.5 $899 750 W nominal, 1,000 W peak 28 mph 330 lb
Mars 3.0 $1,099 750 W sustained, 1,400 W peak 28 mph 440 lb
Alpha $1,299 Mivice 500 W mid-drive 28 mph 400 lb
Cityscape 2.0 $799 to $899 500 W 24 mph 264 lb
Venus $1,399 to $1,499 750 W hub 28 mph 350 lb
Hybrid $1,699 750 W hub 28 mph 440 lb
Saturn $1,199 single, $1,499 dual battery 1,000 W hub 40 mph 330 lb
Titan $1,399 single, $1,699 dual battery 750 W rated, 1,500 W peak 28 mph 330 lb on the page, 300 lb in the manual
Refurbished Cityrun $899 500 W sustained, 1,000 W peak 21 mph 350 lb
Refurbished Mars 2.0 $699 750 W sustained, 1,400 W peak 28 mph 330 lb
Refurbished Tyson $1,049 750 W, 1,400 W peak 28 mph 400 lb
V1 dirt bike $1,199 to $1,299 4,160 W peak mid-drive 45 mph 265 lb
V1 Pro dirt bike $2,099 8,000 W peak up to 50 mph not printed

The speed is the highest figure each listing prints, or its manual's where the page prints none (the Mars 3.0 and Cityscape 2.0); which top speed to plan on sets out the 20 mph defaults, and the refurbished section quotes the Mars 2.0 manual's two figures.

Prices are the listing price on October 25, 2026; where Heybike sells the same model on a second listing at a lower price, both are shown. "Load limit" is the combined weight of rider and cargo Heybike gives for the bike, both figures where its page and manual disagree. The full table, with the battery, weight, Heybike's class label and our law counts for every configuration, is free to download as a CSV file or JSON file.

Ranger S 2.0 and Ranger 3.0 Pro

The Ranger S 2.0 is Heybike's folding step-through on 20 x 4.0-inch fat tires at $999, against a struck price of $1,199. Its page prints a 750 W rated motor with a 1,400 W peak, a 48 V, 14.4 Ah battery (692 Wh), a 28 mph top speed and, in the class row, "Class 3"; its manual adds 72 lb and a 400 lb load limit (Ranger S 2.0 manual).

The Ranger 3.0 Pro, $1,399 against $1,499, adds an adjustable rear air shock to the 65 mm front fork, a 720 Wh battery, 80 N·m and a 440 lb limit, at 75 lb.

Its stat tiles print "28 MPH Top Speed"; its FAQ says it is "configured as Class 2 by default, with a throttle and a 20 MPH top speed", and describes a Class 3 setting with the throttle disabled and a 28 mph top. It is the one current model on Heybike's 2025 UL 2849 certificate page. If you want a folder from us, the Addmotor Foldtan M-160 stands beside both Rangers.

A listing named Ranger may also be GOTRAX's: its Ranger is a 500 W moto-style fat-tire bike on 20 x 4.0-inch tires, $699 on October 30, 2026, and our GOTRAX profile sets it beside the rest of GOTRAX's lineup.

Mars 2.5 and Mars 3.0

The Mars 2.5 folds and rides on 20 x 4.0 tires for $899, against $999: a 750 W nominal motor with a 1,000 W peak, 85 Nm, a 600 Wh battery, a printed 28 mph and "Max Range: 45 miles". Its manual gives 75 lb and a 330 lb limit (Mars 2.5 manual).

The Mars 3.0 is the full-suspension Mars: a Horst-link rear end and a 65 mm coil fork with a hydraulic lockout, 95 N·m, 624 Wh, 70 lb and a 440 lb limit, for $1,099 against $1,199. Its page prints no top speed; the manual's specification table gives "Max Speed 28mph (45km/h)" (Mars 3.0 manual). Plan on 28 mph, and see which top speed to plan on.

Actbest sells different bikes under the Mars and Ranger names, among them a folding Mars on 20 x 3.0-inch tires that sold for $569 on October 27, 2026, so check the brand on any listing that says Mars; our Actbest profile covers that lineup.

Alpha

The Alpha is Heybike's mid-drive: a Mivice 500 W motor with 105 N·m on 26 x 4.0-inch fat tires, a 680 Wh battery Heybike lists as "UL 2271 certified", 71.6 lb and a 400 lb limit, at $1,299. Heybike's specification table says its half-twist throttle is "Activated in Natural Pedal Start Mode".

The Alpha's page and its manual both give 28 mph. On October 25, 2026, the step-over frame was in stock and the step-through was sold out. If you want a mid-drive from us, the Himiway D5 Pro is the one we sell beside it.

Cityscape 2.0

The Cityscape 2.0 is a carbon-steel step-through commuter on 26 x 1.95-inch tires, at $899 on its main listing and $799 on Heybike's deal listing; one of its four colors, Blue, was in stock. Its page lists a 500 W motor with a 1,200 W peak and a 468 Wh battery rated IPX6.

Its manual's specification table gives a 750 W peak instead, a 36 V, 13 Ah battery, 24 mph, 61.73 lb and a 264 lb load limit, the lowest in the lineup (Cityscape 2.0 manual). If you and what you carry come to more than 264 lb, look at another model. If your ride is a commute, the VTUVIA Zeal LT7 stands beside it.

Venus

The Venus is the light one: 50 lb, a rigid fork, 27.5 x 2.2-inch tires and a 750 W hub with 70 Nm and a 680 Wh battery, at $1,499, or $1,399 on its deal listing. Heybike lists "UL 2849 (Whole Bike), UL 2271 (Battery)", a 28 mph maximum, and sizes it for riders 4'11" to 6'2".

Its FAQ says "Top speed and throttle behavior can be configured via the Heybike app to meet Class 2 or Class 3 regulations", and its manual sets a 350 lb load limit (Venus manual). If you would rather buy from us, the VTUVIA Zeal XT8 stands beside it.

Hybrid

The Hybrid is a $1,699 commuter on 27.5 x 2.4-inch tires with a 100 mm hydraulic fork, a 750 W hub with 75 Nm and an 864 Wh battery. Heybike gives "Up to 100 Miles (Tested with a 155 lb rider using PAS 1)", 69 lb, a 440 lb payload and a 60 lb rack.

The Hybrid's page names its riding profiles in classes: "Eco = Class 2" and "Sport = Class 3", with a printed 28 mph maximum. If you want full suspension on your commute, the Himiway A7 stands beside it.

Our commuter guide sets the Zeal LT7 and Zeal XT8 beside the other commuters we sell, with free shipping to the lower 48 on each.

Compare commuter e-bikes

Saturn

The Saturn is the moped-style Heybike: a 1,000 W hub with 95 N·m, 20 x 4.0 tires, a 140 mm fork and a rear spring shock, at $1,199 with one 52 V, 18.4 Ah battery (956.8 Wh, Heybike's own figure) or $1,499 with two. It weighs 103 lb, or 115 lb with the second battery, and carries 330 lb.

How fast does it go? Heybike's page gives two defaults.

Its specification says "Class 2 (20 MPH) by default" and "28 MPH (Unlockable up to 40 MPH*)", while a Titan-and-Saturn comparison chart on the same page reads "28 MPH by default Adjustable up to 40 MPH where permitted", and the manual's table gives "Max Speed 40 mph" (Saturn manual). Ask Heybike in writing which default your Saturn ships with. If you want a moped-style bike from us, the Qiolor TIGER RE stands beside it.

Titan

The Titan is a moto-styled cruiser on 20 x 4.0 tires with front and rear suspension and a 750 W rated motor (1,500 W peak), at $1,399 with one 720 Wh battery or $1,699 with two. Heybike prints "Speed: 20 MPH, Class 2" and "Max Speed: Up to 28 MPH via Heybike App", and sizes it for riders 5'3" to 6'3".

The Titan's page gives a 330 lb load limit and the manual "the maximum total payload of 300 lb" (Titan manual); plan on 300. The manual also gives 85 lb with one battery and 93 lb with two. If you want one we sell, the Addmotor Soletan M-66X stands beside it.

Refurbished Cityrun, Mars 2.0 and Tyson

Heybike's three refurbished listings went up on October 23, 2026, and each says it "Includes the same 2-year warranty as a new bike" and "may have minor cosmetic scratches", so you give up looks, not cover. The Cityrun is a 500 W commuter on 26-inch tires at $899 (struck $1,299), 61.7 lb, 350 lb and 21 mph in its manual.

The Mars 2.0 folds, has mechanical brakes and a 600 Wh battery, at $699 (struck $999); its manual covers a 750 W and a 1,000 W version and prints "Max Speed 28mph/32mph", and this listing is the 750 W. The Tyson, $1,049 (struck $1,499), has a magnesium unibody and a manual that gives 28 mph with "The default speed limit is 20 mph" (Tyson manual).

The V1, sold as the Villain, and the V1 Pro

Heybike's two dirt bikes sell from sports.heybike.com. The V1 is the bike Heybike launched as the Villain: its listings still carry the Villain name in their web addresses and stock codes, and Heybike Inc. filed HEYBIKE VILLAIN as a trademark on January 15, 2026. It costs $1,199 in Classic or $1,299 in Midnight Black, against $1,399.

The V1's page lists a 4,160 W peak mid-drive with 190 N·m, a 52 V, 26 Ah battery, 14- and 12-inch tires, three modes of 20, 38 and 45 mph, and riders "from 3.9 ft to 6.1 ft". Its FAQ says it "is designed for off-road use only", and its manual gives a 265 lb limit (V1 manual).

The V1 Pro is a 72 V pre-order listed at $2,099 against $2,199, with "Early Bird $1,999" in the store's banner: 8,000 W peak, 250 N·m, up to 50 mph and 17- and 14-inch wheels, for riders "from approximately 5'1" to 6'3"".

Neither is an e-bike under any state's definition, so you cannot ride one where only e-bikes may go, as the law section explains; the Smartravel M23 stands beside the V1 Pro.

Mars 3.0 or Ranger 3.0 Pro?

They share a motor rating, 750 W sustained and 1,400 W peak, a folding frame on 20 x 4.0 tires and a 440 lb limit (Mars 3.0, Ranger 3.0 Pro). The Mars 3.0 costs $300 less, carries more torque (95 against 80 N·m), weighs 5 lb less and suspends its rear wheel on a Horst link.

The Ranger 3.0 Pro carries the larger battery (720 against 624 Wh), an adjustable air shock, a 20 mph Class 2 default in its FAQ, and the UL 2849 certificate entry the Mars 3.0 does not have on the register. Pick the Mars 3.0 if you want torque and price, and the Ranger 3.0 Pro if you want battery capacity and the certificate.

Mars 2.0 or Mars 3.0?

The refurbished Mars 2.0 saves $400. What you give up is the rear suspension (the Mars 2.0 has a 65 mm spring fork only) and 110 lb of load limit, 330 lb against the Mars 3.0's 440, and the Mars 2.0 has mechanical brakes. The batteries are close, 600 Wh against 624 Wh. For a heavier rider or broken pavement every day, the Mars 3.0 is the one to compare against our folding picks.

Heybike or Lectric? The Mars 3.0 beside the XP4 750

On October 25, 2026, Lectric's XP4 750 sold for $1,299 against $1,732: a 750 W motor with a 1,310 W peak, an 840 Wh battery, 28 mph, 330 lb of payload and a one-year warranty, and Lectric states it is certified to UL 2849. The standard XP4 was $999 with 500 W, 1,092 W peak and 500 Wh.

The Mars 3.0 costs $200 less than the XP4 750, suspends its rear wheel and carries 110 lb more; the XP4 750 carries 216 Wh more battery and a UL 2849 statement on Lectric's XP4 750 page. Heybike's warranty runs two years from receipt and Lectric's one. Our Lectric profile and our Lectric XP4 page cover Lectric's side if you are weighing the two.

Which top speed to plan on

Where the page prints none, plan on the manual's figure, as you would for the Mars 3.0 and the Cityscape 2.0. Where a page and a manual differ, read both; the Saturn's page leads with 28 mph, and its manual's specification table says 40.

For the Titan, Ranger 3.0 Pro, Saturn and Tyson, Heybike prints a 20 mph default and a higher setting (our Heybike lineup dataset). Which one counts under your state's definition is a question the law leaves open; the settings section sets out both readings.

Older Heybike names you will still see

Heybike's help center still links manuals for models it no longer lists: the Brawn, the original Ranger S and Mars, the Explore, the Race, Race Plus and RaceMax, the Horizon, the Hauler, the Hero and the Sola. The Brawn and the original Ranger S appear on the 2023 UL 2849 certificate page. If you are buying one used, ask the seller for its manual's version and read its load limit and top speed there.

Batteries, chargers and the app

Heybike.com sells spare batteries for four models by name (the Ranger S, Brawn, Cityrun and Hauler) and one charger listing in 12 model versions, the dirt-bike store sells its own battery and charger, and Heybike's warranty gives separately bought accessories one year. The Mars 3.0 and Ranger 3.0 Pro unlock with the Heybike App, a PIN or an NFC card, and the Saturn, Venus and Hybrid pages name the "Heybike Smart App (iOS & Android)".

Before you buy a used battery, match its voltage and connector to the bike's manual: the Cityscape 2.0 runs 36 V (its manual), the Saturn and V1 52 V, and the V1 Pro 72 V.

The Heybike models without a card

The V1, sold as the Villain, has no card. It is a 45 mph electric dirt bike whose V1 page says it fits riders "from 3.9 ft to 6.1 ft", and the V1 manual sets 14 as the youngest age to ride it; none of the bikes we sell is that machine for that rider. For your teenager, start with our kids and teens guide; if you ride off-road yourself, see the guide below.

Our electric dirt bike guide compares the off-road machines we sell and where a dirt bike may be ridden, and every one ships free in the lower 48.

Why buy one of these from us

Every price on these cards was read against its maker's own store on October 25, 2026, and our terms of service name the company you are buying from. You write to one address for all five makers, support@redtailebikes.com, and our contact page says we typically answer within one business day.

Each e-bike ships free within the contiguous United States. We dispatch within 1 to 3 business days of order confirmation, and most bikes arrive within 5 to 10 business days after dispatch (our shipping policy).

If a bike arrives damaged, email us photos within 48 hours of delivery and we file the carrier claim; a defect goes to its maker's warranty, and we coordinate the repair (our refund policy). You can pay with Shop Pay, and with Apple Pay or Google Pay where your browser and device offer them.

How we matched each bike

A card stands beside a Heybike only when our bike's rated motor is at or under the figure Heybike prints for that model, capped at 750 W where Heybike rates an e-bike above that, and its maker's top speed is at or under Heybike's; beside the V1 Pro, an off-road dirt bike, the card is an off-road machine as well. Each card has one motor.

Each maker's US store was read for the price, stock and specifications on the card, and owner feedback on each bike was read before it went on the page. Where a maker lists a color as sold out or on pre-order, the card's button adds a color the maker had in stock that day.

Speed, class and the law: where a Heybike stands

At the 28 mph that ten of Heybike's 13 e-bikes print with a throttle, a Heybike sits outside the e-bike definition in 49 of the 51 US jurisdictions; at a 20 mph Class 2 setting, a 750 W Heybike meets it in 29. Outside the definition, your state's rules for whatever vehicle it does count the bike as apply instead, and what that can cost gives two examples.

What the three classes allow

The federal land rule is the clearest single statement of the three classes: the Bureau of Land Management defines an e-bike as "a two- or three-wheeled cycle with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of not more than 750 watts (1 h.p.)" that fits one of three classes (43 CFR § 8340.0-5(j)).

Class 1 assists "only when the rider is pedaling" and stops at 20 mph.

Class 2 has a motor "that may be used exclusively to propel the bicycle" and also stops assisting at 20 mph; California's code calls it the "low-speed throttle-assisted electric bicycle" (Cal. Veh. Code § 312.5(a)(2)). Class 3 assists only while you pedal and stops at 28 mph.

Where each Heybike stands

We ran each configuration Heybike prints through the e-bike definition of every state and the District of Columbia, as each statute words it. "Inside" means the published figures meet the definition; the vehicle codes of Alaska (AS 28.90.990) and Kentucky (KRS 189.010) define no e-bike, so those two appear in neither column; our Alaska and Kentucky law pages set out what applies there.

Heybike configuration Inside the definition Outside
750 W at 20 mph with a throttle: the Titan and the Tyson as they ship, the Ranger 3.0 Pro's FAQ default, the Venus and Hybrid in their Class 2 settings 29 of 51 20
Ranger 3.0 Pro in its Class 3 setting: 28 mph, throttle off 23 of 51 today; 24 from December 1, 2026 26 today; 25 from December 1, 2026
Saturn at the 20 mph default its specification gives (1,000 W) 4 of 51 45
Every Heybike at 28 mph with a throttle, including the Saturn at the 28 mph default its comparison chart gives 0 49
Cityscape 2.0 (24 mph) and refurbished Cityrun (21 mph), 500 W with a throttle 0 49
V1 (45 mph) and V1 Pro (50 mph) dirt bikes 0 49

The 20 outside at 750 W and 20 mph are the 19 states whose definitions set the motor at "less than" or "fewer than" 750 watts, which a 750 W motor does not meet (Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming), and New Jersey.

New Jersey's P.L.2025, c.285 counts a bike whose throttle propels it to "no more than 28 miles per hour" as a "motorized bicycle", and keeps "low-speed electric bicycle" for a motor that assists only while you pedal, up to 20 mph.

The Class 3 setting adds six places whose definitions stop at 20 mph: the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. North Carolina's three-class definition, with Class 3 at 28 mph and a motor "of no more than 750 watts", takes effect on December 1, 2026 (S.L. 2026-46), which is the one count that moves on that date. The Saturn's four are the District of Columbia, Montana, Oregon and Rhode Island.

The V1 and V1 Pro are not e-bikes

Is the Heybike Villain street legal? Heybike sells it for off-road riding: the V1's FAQ says it "is designed for off-road use only", and at 45 mph and a 4,160 W peak it meets no state's e-bike definition; the V1 Pro, at 50 mph and 8,000 W peak, meets none either. What class is the Villain? None of the three: a class applies only to a machine inside the definition.

On land the Bureau of Land Management runs, a machine outside the e-bike definition is an "off-road vehicle", meaning "any motorized vehicle capable of, or designed for, travel on or immediately over land" (43 CFR § 8340.0-5(a)), and the off-road vehicle rules apply to it there. If you ride there, keep to areas and trails designated for off-road vehicles. Our public-land e-bike guide covers the federal land rules.

Speed settings and what the law leaves open

Six Heybikes print a lower and a higher speed setting: the Titan "Up to 28 MPH via Heybike App", the Saturn "Unlockable up to 40 MPH", the Ranger 3.0 Pro's Class 3 setting, the refurbished Tyson's 20 mph "default speed limit", and the Venus and Hybrid's class profiles. Which figure your state reads is not settled by the definitions we screened.

One reading takes the bike as it is set when you ride it, which puts a Titan at its 20 mph default inside 29 jurisdictions. The other takes what the bike can be set to do, which puts the same Titan outside 49 (our Heybike lineup dataset). If you ride a Heybike at its default for that reason, keep it there, and ask your state's motor vehicle agency in writing before you change a setting.

What riding outside the definition can cost

In New Jersey, if your Heybike counts as a motorized bicycle (where each Heybike stands), you must show a police officer, on request, a driver's license or motorized bicycle license, the registration certificate and proof of insurance; failing to brings "a fine not exceeding $50" under N.J.S.A. 39:4-14.3(e), as P.L.2025, c.285, § 5 amends it, in force since the act's approval on January 19, 2026.

On Bureau of Land Management land, anyone who breaks the off-road vehicle rules of subparts 8341 and 8343 "is subject to arrest, conviction, and punishment", which "may be a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not longer than 12 months, or both" (43 CFR § 8340.0-7). Every other state sets its own rules, and our e-bike law guide links each state's page.

Our folding guide compares the SX20 and the Foldtan M-160 with the other folders we sell, and each ships free to the lower 48.

Compare folding e-bikes

Age and the young rider

Heybike's own texts set the youngest rider at 14, 16 or 18 depending on the model and the page, and New Jersey's law sets 15 for a motorized bicycle. Read the manual for the model you are buying before a teenager rides it.

What Heybike says about age

Heybike's manuals give two age rules, and eleven of them give both. The Ranger S 2.0, Ranger 3.0 Pro, Mars 2.5, Mars 3.0, Alpha, Cityrun and Mars 2.0 manuals say "The electric bike should never be used by children under the age of 16", and the Venus, Hybrid, Saturn and Titan manuals that it "should not be used by anyone under 16 years of age".

The same eleven tell "all riders under 16 years old" to "obtain parental permission before riding" (Mars 3.0 manual), so read the two lines together and ask Heybike in writing which applies to your rider. The Cityscape 2.0 and Tyson manuals and an earlier Mars 2.0 manual set 18, and the V1's sets 14 and carries the same permission note.

Heybike's shipping page adds: "E-Bikes Are Not for Sale to Persons Under the Age of 18. Underage riders MUST be accompanied by parents or adults when riding" (Heybike shipping policy). The V1's own title calls it an "Electric Dirt Bike for Teens & Adults", and its page sizes it for riders from 3.9 ft.

What the law sets

New Jersey's P.L.2025, c.285 draws three lines: "No person who is under 15 years of age shall be permitted to operate a low-speed electric bicycle or motorized bicycle"; a rider of 15 or 16 needs a motorized bicycle license or permit; and a rider of 17 or older needs a basic driver's license or a motorized bicycle license or permit (P.L.2025, c.285, § 5).

California sets an age for Class 3: "A person under 16 years of age shall not operate a class 3 electric bicycle" (Cal. Veh. Code § 21213(a)), which reaches the Ranger 3.0 Pro in its Class 3 setting. Every other state writes its own age rules for the vehicle a Heybike counts as there.

Our kids and teens guide reads the operating-age rule in all 51 US jurisdictions and sets out the e-bikes we sell for younger riders; every bike on it ships free in the lower 48.

Heybike's warranty, returns and shipping, clause by clause

Heybike gives each e-bike two years from the day you receive it, on bikes bought from heybike.com, and charges $200 return shipping on a change-of-mind return. The clauses below are Heybike's, as its pages read on October 25, 2026.

The warranty

"We provide a 2-year warranty for each Heybike e-bike, excluding all wear and tear items. The warranty begins from the day of receiving the bike," and a later owner keeps it with "the proof of original purchase" (Heybike warranty). Separately bought accessories get one year, and genuine parts a two-year limited warranty on which "the customer needs to bear the freight".

The exclusions list wear parts (brake pads, rotors, tires, chains and more) and "Labor charges for part replacement or changeover." After a list of parts from the frame and fork to the motor and display, the same page reads: "Warranty within ONE WEEK after receiving the products. Parts damaged during use after seven days will be charged." Ask Heybike in writing how that line applies to your bike before you buy.

Heybike's help center also sells an Extend Protection Plan, "a warranty extension that provides coverage for a product after the manufacturer's warranty expires", which you can add within one month of purchase (Heybike help center).

If you send back a bike that is "brand new and unused" within 14 days of receipt, Heybike refunds in full, and "Buyers pay the return shipping fee ($200 for each bike, $280 for Brawn, $400 for Hero)". From 15 to 30 days, "Another 20% of the order amount will be charged as the restocking fee"; a used bike within 30 days pays 50%, and after 30 days a bike cannot be returned (Heybike return policy).

For a quality problem within 14 days, Heybike refunds in full with no return shipping charge. The two copies give different refund times after the return arrives: "10-15 business days" on Heybike's return page and "7-14 days" in its refund policy. Heybike's product pages advertise a "14-day Free Trial" beside the $200 return shipping above.

What a change of mind costs A new, unused Heybike sent back within 14 days of receipt is refunded in full and you pay the $200 return shipping; from day 15 to day 30 a 20% restocking fee is added, a used bike within 30 days pays 50%, and after 30 days a bike cannot be returned. A quality problem within 14 days gets a full refund with no return shipping charge.

Shipping and payment

Heybike ships free to the lower 48; if you live in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, or use a PO box, it does not ship to you. In-stock orders "typically ship within 1-3 business days"; one copy of the shipping policy then allows "2-8 business days" to arrive and the other "3~8" (Heybike shipping page; shipping policy).

The two copies also price changes differently. Heybike's shipping page charges $30 for an address change after dispatch, $200 for a refused or undelivered package and $200 to cancel after shipping, and "5%–8% OF THE ORDER VALUE" to cancel before it; its shipping policy charges $20 and $150 for the first two. The dirt-bike store processes orders in 1 to 2 business days and quotes 5 to 7 business days for delivery (Heybike Sports shipping policy).

Heybike's checkout offers Klarna: "Pay in 4, Pay in 30 days, Monthly financing (up to 24 months)", the monthly plan "issued by WebBank" (Heybike financing).

Before you buy a Heybike: the checklist

Run these eight checks before you order a Heybike. Each rests on a figure or a clause quoted on this page, so you can confirm it at its source before you pay.

  1. Decide the speed you will ride at, then read where that setting stands in your state. At 28 mph with a throttle, a Heybike is outside the e-bike definition in 49 of 51 jurisdictions.
  2. Check your weight plus cargo against the model's load limit: 264 lb on the Cityscape 2.0, 300 lb on the Titan by its manual, 440 lb on the Mars 3.0, Ranger 3.0 Pro and Hybrid.
  3. Buy from heybike.com if you want Heybike's written warranty terms to apply; from a dealer, ask the dealer in writing whose warranty covers the bike.
  4. Ask Heybike for the UL 2849 certificate number for your model if it is not one of the three the public register names.
  5. Price a change-of-mind return before you order: $200 return shipping, plus 20% from day 15.
  6. For the Saturn, ask which default it ships with, 20 mph or 28 mph, because the two answer the law question differently.
  7. Read the manual's age line before a teenager rides it, and your state's.
  8. If you live in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, Heybike does not ship to you.

The honest ledger

Each row pairs what a Heybike does well with the rider who should read another option first. If you find yourself in the right-hand column, the row names a bike we sell for you.

Where a Heybike fits Who should read another option first
A low price for a folding fat-tire bike: the Mars 2.5 at $899 and the Ranger S 2.0 at $999 A rider and cargo over the Mars 2.5's 330 lb: the Mars 3.0 and Ranger 3.0 Pro carry 440 lb, and the Himiway A7 we sell carries 400 lb
A full-suspension folder at $1,099, the Mars 3.0 Anyone who wants a certificate entry for their exact model: the Ranger 3.0 Pro has one and the Mars 3.0 does not on the register we read, and the certificate table lists the rest
A light step-through, the 50 lb Venus A rider who wants a suspension fork on that frame: the VTUVIA Zeal XT8 adds one at 65 lb
A two-battery moped-style bike, the Saturn A shorter rider who wants one 750 W motor: the Qiolor TIGER RE, sized 5'1" to 5'9"
A 45 mph dirt bike for private land, the V1 Anyone planning to ride it on a street or a bike path: it is not an e-bike, and our dirt bike guide covers where off-road machines may go
A two-year warranty from receipt A buyer who may change their mind: $200 return shipping applies inside 14 days; for the bikes we sell, read our refund policy

Frequently asked questions

Is Heybike a good e-bike brand?

Heybike sells folding, fat-tire, commuter and moped-style e-bikes from $699 to $1,699, with a two-year warranty from the day you receive one bought on heybike.com. No CPSC recall names it, and TÜV Rheinland's UL 2849 certificates name the Ranger 3.0 Pro, Tyson and Cityrun. Whether one suits you turns on its speed setting and your state's law; our picks set a bike we sell beside 14 of its 15 machines.

Who makes Heybike e-bikes, and who owns the brand?

Heybike Inc., a California corporation with its principal address in Farmers Branch, Texas, sells the bikes and is the last listed owner of the HEYBIKE trademark, first registered by Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd. in 2023. Its blog calls the company "Based in China, with North American headquarters located in Texas", and its contact and payment pages also name Galaxy Mobility Inc. None of the records we read names the factory that builds the model you buy.

Does Jasion own Heybike?

The records show a shared origin: Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd. registered the HEYBIKE mark and owns the JASION mark, Heybike's 2022 press release calls its founder and CEO "Jasion", and UL Solutions lists one company, Galaxy Mobility Inc, as the holder of range marks for models named Mars 2.0, ALPHA, X-Hunter and RetroVolt. They do not show one company owning the other today, and our Jasion profile sets out the trademark records.

Where are Heybike e-bikes made?

Heybike does not say on its US pages or in any of its 37 distinct owner's manuals. Its blog describes the company as "Based in China", and its bikes ship from US warehouses in California and New Jersey, with Georgia and Florida added for the dirt-bike store. If the country of manufacture decides your purchase, ask Heybike in writing for your model.

Is Heybike legit?

Heybike Inc. is registered in California and in good standing, holds its US trademark, publishes a two-year warranty and a written return policy, and holds TÜV Rheinland certificates under its own name. The return policy charges $200 for return shipping on a change-of-mind return, and its warranty covers bikes bought from heybike.com, so read both before you order.

It depends on the setting and your state. At a 20 mph Class 2 setting, a 750 W Heybike meets the e-bike definition in 29 of 51 jurisdictions; at the 28 mph that ten of its 13 e-bikes print with a throttle, it meets none (our Heybike lineup dataset). Where each Heybike stands has the table, and outside the definition your state's rules for the vehicle it counts as apply.

Not as Heybike sells it. The Villain, now sold as the V1, is in Heybike's words "designed for off-road use only" (Heybike's V1 page), and at 45 mph and a 4,160 W peak it meets no state's e-bike definition. Ride it on private land or where off-road vehicles are allowed. The V1 Pro, at 50 mph, is the same.

How fast does a Heybike go?

Eleven of Heybike's 13 e-bikes print 28 mph (our dataset), four of them above a 20 mph default: the Titan (up to 28 in the app), the Ranger 3.0 Pro (in its FAQ), the Saturn (in its specification) and the refurbished Tyson (in its manual). The Cityscape 2.0's manual gives 24 and the Cityrun's 21. The Saturn's manual gives 40, and the V1 and V1 Pro dirt bikes print 45 and 50 mph.

How fast does the Heybike Saturn go?

Heybike's Saturn page gives two defaults: "Class 2 (20 MPH) by default" in its specification and "28 MPH by default Adjustable up to 40 MPH where permitted" in its comparison chart. Its specification also reads "28 MPH (Unlockable up to 40 MPH*)", and its manual gives "Max Speed 40 mph". Ask Heybike which default your bike ships with.

How fast is the Heybike Villain?

Heybike prints a 45 mph top speed for the V1, the bike it launched as the Villain, with three modes: 20, 38 and 45 mph. Its manual gives the same 45 mph. The V1 Pro prints up to 50 mph.

How do you unlock a Heybike Mars 3.0?

The Mars 3.0 starts from its display: Heybike's page says you "Unlock effortlessly via Heybike App, PIN, or NFC card", and its manual adds that you can turn it on "by tapping the NFC card" on the lower half of the display. Its speed settings are a separate matter, covered in what the law leaves open.

Are Heybike batteries UL certified?

TÜV Rheinland lists a UL 2271 certificate held by Heybike Inc., issued July 23, 2026, for three battery pack part numbers, not for named bike models. Heybike's pages describe the Alpha's battery as "UL 2271 certified" and the Venus and Hybrid's as UL 2271. Ask Heybike for the certificate covering the battery in your model.

Where does Heybike ship from, and how long does delivery take?

From US warehouses: Heybike's shipping policy lists California and New Jersey, and the dirt-bike store adds Georgia and Florida. In-stock orders "typically ship within 1-3 business days", and Heybike's two shipping texts then allow 2 to 8 or 3 to 8 business days. It does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or PO boxes.

How long does a Heybike battery take to charge?

Heybike prints the time per model: "About 7 Hours" on the Ranger S 2.0, "5-7 hrs" on the Mars 3.0, "6–8 hrs" on the Ranger 3.0 Pro, and 5 to 6 hours for one Titan battery or 10 to 12 for two. The Ranger S 2.0's manual gives 7 to 8 hours.

How do you turn on a Heybike?

On the Mars 3.0 and the Ranger S 2.0, you long-press the display's power button; the Mars 3.0's manual adds that you can tap the NFC card on the display or enter a passcode. If the display stays dark, Heybike's help center says to check that the battery's own power display lights when you long-press its power button (Heybike help center), then contact Heybike at support@heybike.com.

What is the warranty on a Heybike?

Two years on each e-bike from the day you receive it, excluding wear items, for bikes bought on heybike.com; one year on separately bought accessories. Labor for part replacement is excluded, and you pay the freight on warranty parts. Heybike's dealer page says dealer purchases are covered too, while its warranty terms send them to "the corresponding warranty policies", so ask your dealer in writing.

Are Heybikes assembled when they arrive?

Partly. Heybike's help center says "Your e-bike will be partially assembled" and that you fit "the front wheel, fenders, saddle, pedals, and other parts according to the instructions", with the manual and Heybike's assembly videos to help (Heybike help center).

The bottom line

Heybike sells 15 machines, from a $699 refurbished folder to a $2,099 dirt bike, with a two-year warranty from receipt on bikes bought from heybike.com. Before you buy one, settle two things: the speed you will ride at, because at 28 mph with a throttle a Heybike is outside the e-bike definition in 49 of 51 jurisdictions, and which of Heybike's shipping, return and warranty texts covers your order.

If you want a Heybike, the Mars 3.0 is the full-suspension folder to compare first, and the Ranger 3.0 Pro the one with its own UL 2849 certificate entry.

If you would rather buy from us, the Addmotor Foldtan M-160 is the folder to set beside the Mars and the Ranger, and the nine bikes above each match a Heybike on a rated motor and a top speed their makers print; each ships free to the lower 48 with the warranty claim handled by us.

Our fat-tire guide sets the Foldtan M-160, the SX20 and the TIGER RE beside the other fat-tire bikes we sell.

Image credit: each of the nine card photographs is its maker's own (VTUVIA, Addmotor, Himiway, Qiolor and Smartravel) in the colorway that card's button adds, set on white where the file was transparent, cropped and scaled as one piece, and never redrawn or retouched.

Cover: the Ranger 3.0 Pro in Ruby Red is Heybike's own cutout, placed at one uniform scale so that every pixel of the bike is Heybike's. The studio around it was generated with Nano Banana Pro on Playcut, and the type was added over the scene afterward, clear of the bike.

Limitations

Read these before you rely on a figure here for a purchase or a ride. They name what this page could not settle and the sources its figures rest on.

  1. Every Heybike figure on this page is Heybike's own, read on its two US stores and in its owner's manuals on October 25, 2026. Where Heybike's own texts disagree, both are printed: the Saturn's default speed, the Titan's load limit, the Cityscape 2.0's peak motor figure, the shipping fees and delivery windows, the refund times, the manuals' two age rules, and whether a dealer purchase carries Heybike's warranty.
  2. The Mars 3.0's product page prints no top speed. Heybike's blog prints "Top speed: 28 mph (unlock for higher speed)" in one post and "30+ MPH" in a gift guide; the table uses the manual's 28 mph.
  3. TÜV Rheinland's certificate register was read in full for Heybike's two holders. The UL Solutions, CSA and Intertek certificate registers could not be read on October 25, 2026, so a certificate for a model not named here may exist in one of them. UL Solutions' separate Verified Mark directory, which records checked marketing claims, was read in full: 485 records, 23 of them expired, two held by Galaxy Mobility Inc.
  4. California's Vehicle Code was read through the Internet Archive's captures of the official leginfo pages (§ 312.5 captured October 4, 2026; § 21213 captured September 28, 2026), because the official site refused automated reads that day. New Jersey's act and North Carolina's session law were read through a text relay of the official pages.
  5. The law counts apply each statute's own words to the configurations Heybike prints. They are not legal advice, and a court or agency may read a speed setting differently (what the law leaves open).
  6. Prices, stock and promotions change. The Spurs-fan and VIP listings, the V1 Pro's early-bird banner and the in-stock colors are as read on October 25, 2026.
  7. The UK report concerns the EC Compact City, a model sold in the UK and not listed on Heybike's US stores.

Expiry conditions

This page should be re-read and re-dated when any of these change: Heybike's lineup, prices, specifications, shipping, return or warranty terms; any CPSC record naming Heybike; a TÜV Rheinland certificate for Heybike; the status of U.S. Reg. No. 6,976,609 or serial 99597915 (HEYBIKE VILLAIN); a state e-bike definition that moves a count, North Carolina's on December 1, 2026 among them; or the price, stock or specification of the nine bikes we sell.
