Quick Answer — Jasion eBikes are sold direct from jasionbike.com, and the JASION trademark is registered to Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd., the company that also first registered the HEYBIKE mark. On October 18, 2026, Jasion's US store listed 12 models from $699 to $1,399, each with a throttle and a printed top speed of 16 to 40 mph.
No CPSC recall, product safety warning or news release named Jasion or one of its models when all three were read that day (CPSC recalls). Before you take one onto a public street, get two answers from Jasion in writing: the motor's rated watts and how fast the throttle alone goes on the model you want.
If you are shopping, eight bikes we sell sit at or under the motor rating and top speed of the Jasion beside them, from $1,099, and every e-bike we sell ships free to the lower 48.
What decides a Jasion The prices are low, and the spec sheets lead with peak watts and top speeds of 28 to 40 mph on the two-wheelers. Three questions settle whether one fits you: the rated watts, the throttle's top speed and where you plan to ride it, and each has its own section below. Weighing Jasion against other makers? Our e-bike brands list sets them side by side.

How we verified this profile. Written by Milad Ghobadibeygvand, BScN (Western University, 2014).
Jasion's US store was read in full on October 18, 2026: all 14 machine listings and their store records, the two-bike listings, the battery and warranty add-ons, the catalog pages and the warranty, return, shipping, contact, payment, store-locator and fake-website pages. All 161 articles on its blog were read on October 18 and 19. Watt-hours are worked out from Jasion's own voltage and amp-hour figures.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's records for the JASION, JASIONBIKE and HEYBIKE marks and all three CPSC registers were read on October 18, and the statutes and regulations on October 19, the day the eight cards' prices, stock and specifications were read at their makers and on our store. We cite 79 sources on this page, each read at its own address on October 18 or 19, 2026; Primary sources lists them by number.
The motor-and-speed screen runs Jasion's printed figures through each jurisdiction's e-bike definition in our state-by-state rule table, and every count on the page comes from a saved file that can be re-run.
Full copies of 261 addresses on Jasion's US store were retrieved and kept on file (42 product listings, 26 information pages, 18 catalog pages, 4 policies, 10 blog index pages and all 161 blog articles), with its store record, product feeds and sitemaps.
Two sources were unreachable at their own address: the Trademark Office's status pages refused repeated requests, so its four trademark records were read through its search service, and New Jersey's legislature site did not answer, so P.L.2025, c.285 was read from a text copy of the same address.
Redtail eBikes does not sell Jasion. We do sell the eight alternatives named here. Corrections go to support@redtailebikes.com.
Who owns Jasion, and is it a legit e-bike company?
Jasion runs a working US store with a phone line, a support email, a one-year warranty and a map of pickup warehouses. Its own pages do not name the company behind it (Jasion's terms of service), and the federal trademark register does. The records below are public, and each is linked so you can read it yourself.
Who owns Jasion?
Jasion's terms of service say only that the website "is operated by JASION," and they are "governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of UK" (Jasion's terms of service). Its store record lists Ontario, California, prices in US dollars and ships to the United States only (jasionbike.com store record).
The JASION trademark, for goods including folding electric bicycles and motorized bicycles, is U.S. Registration No. 6,417,763, registered on July 13, 2021 to Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd. of Shenzhen, China, with first use claimed from August 10, 2020 (USPTO record, serial 90269716). Its six-year declaration of use was accepted, and no assignment to another owner is recorded.
The same company applied for JASIONBIKE on March 24, 2026, for electric bicycles, electric motorcycles and bicycle motors among other goods; the application was published for opposition on September 29, 2026 (USPTO record, serial 99720555). An earlier JASION application for electric bicycles, filed in 2019 by a different Shenzhen company, was abandoned before registration (USPTO record, serial 88660335).
Jasion and Heybike
Buyers ask whether Jasion and Heybike are one company, and the trademark register shows where the two meet. HEYBIKE, U.S. Registration No. 6,976,609, was registered on February 14, 2023 with Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd. as its registrant, the same company that owns JASION (USPTO record, serial 90309600).
That record also shows an assignment and names HEYBIKE INC. of Rowland Heights, California as the mark's last listed owner. Heybike's own press release of February 12, 2022, issued by "Heybike Ltd," calls its founder and its CEO "Jasion" (Heybike on Newswire).
So the records show one Shenzhen company behind both marks at the start, and Heybike's mark now held by a California corporation (USPTO record, serial 90309600). They do not show who builds either brand's bikes today. If it matters to your purchase, ask Jasion in writing which company sells you the bike and stands behind its warranty.
Where Jasion bikes come from
Jasion's own wording on its US pages, read in full on October 18 and 19, 2026, does not name the country where its bikes are built. A Jasion post of June 17, 2025 told waiting buyers that the "Hunter Pro, X-Hunter, and YR20" had "already arrived at customs," with clearance slowed by "new tariff regulations" (Jasion delivery update).
Inside the US, Jasion ships from what its shipping policy calls "US-based local warehouses in Georgia (GA), California (CA), New Jersey (NJ), and Florida (FL)" (Jasion's shipping policy). Its locator map adds six self-pickup warehouses, four in California, one in New Jersey and one in Georgia, and two dealers, in Washington, DC and Grover Beach, California (Jasion's store locator).
Jasion's official websites
Jasion keeps a warning page about copycat stores. It names three official domains, "USA: jasionbike.com," "Europe: jasionbikes.eu" and "UK: jasionbike.uk," and calls two others "NOT official JasionBike websites": e-rideworld.com and naturistore.shop (Jasion's fake-website notice).
The same page tells Amazon shoppers to search "JasionBike" and "double-check seller information and return policy before purchasing." A price far below Jasion's own sale prices is one of the warning signs it lists (Jasion's fake-website notice).
Reaching Jasion
Jasion's phone support runs "Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM (EDT) / 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (EST)" at 1 (888) 825 6366, and its contact form promises an answer "within 1–2 business days" (Jasion's contact page). The support address is support@jasionbike.com, and the same page says the serial number "is engraved on the head tube of the bike frame, near the front fork."
Every card names the Jasion it sits beside, its maker's figures read on October 19, 2026, and a free-shipping price.
See the eight bikes we matchThe safety record: recalls, warnings and certification
On October 18, 2026, we read the CPSC's whole recall database (10,053 records) and every product safety warning (378) and news release (2,267) on its site. No record named Jasion, JasionBike or a Jasion model, across 26 model names and 7 spellings of the brand (CPSC recalls; CPSC warnings; CPSC news releases).
A search of the recall database for "Hunter Pro" does return one record: recall 07-045, a 2006 recall of GAMO air rifles that "can unexpectedly fire" (CPSC recall 07-045). It shares a product name with Jasion's bike and nothing else.
UL wording on Jasion's pages
Jasion prints a UL standard for 5 of its 12 models. The Kago, Thunder Pro and Thunder Pro ST list "Standard For Safety: UL 2849" in their specifications (Jasion Kago; Jasion Thunder Pro; Jasion Thunder Pro ST).
The RetroVolt Max page describes a "UL 2271 certified battery + UL 2849 certified eBike system" (Jasion RetroVolt Max). For the EB5 Roamer ST, the wording sits on the two-bike listing, "Battery UL2271 and vehicle UL2849 safety certification" (EB5 Roamer ST two-bike listing).
UL 2849 "covers the electrical system of eBikes," and UL 2271 covers battery packs for light electric vehicles (UL 2849; UL 2271). For any of the 12, ask Jasion for the certificate number and the name of the lab that issued it, then keep that answer with your receipt.
Paperwork before payment A clean CPSC record and a printed UL number are two different things. Get the certificate details for the exact model you want before you pay.
The Jasion eBike lineup in the US: 12 models, side by side
Jasion's US store sold 12 models through 14 listings on October 18, 2026: a refurbished X-Hunter, out of stock in all four colors, and a second RetroVolt Pro listing at the same $899 make up the difference. Every model was priced below the "regular price" Jasion prints beside it.
The motor column is Jasion's headline figure, which Jasion's own pages call a peak figure on several models; the motor section shows the five rated figures Jasion does print.
| Model | Jasion's price (regular price) | Motor, headline | Top speed | Battery | Weight | Max payload |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EB5 Roamer ST | $699 ($1,599) | 1,200 W | 28 mph | 48 V 11 Ah (528 Wh) | 65 lb | 330 lb |

| Thunder | $899 ($1,799) | 1,800 W | 30+ mph | 48 V 18 Ah (864 Wh) | 82 lb | 400 lb |
| Thunder Pro | $1,099 to $1,199 ($1,899 to $1,999) | 2,000 W | 35 mph | 52 V 20 Ah (1,040 Wh) | 96.6 lb | 500 lb |
| Thunder Pro ST | $1,099 to $1,249 ($1,899 to $1,999) | 2,000 W | 35 mph | 52 V 20 Ah (1,040 Wh) | 96.6 lb | 500 lb |
| RetroVolt Pro | $899 ($1,899) | 2,000 W | 38 mph | 52 V 20 Ah (1,040 Wh) | 82 lb | 330 lb |
| RetroVolt Max | $1,299 ($2,199) | 2,000 W | 35+ mph | two 52 V 20 Ah packs (2,080 Wh) | 108 lb | 330 lb |
| Kago | $1,099 ($2,199) | 1,500 W | 28+ mph | two 52 V 20 Ah packs (2,080 Wh) | 94 lb | 350 lb |
| Patrol | $1,399 ($2,699) | 4,000 W | 40 mph | 52 V 30 Ah (1,560 Wh) | 115 lb | 330 lb |
| JT18 eTrike | $699 ($1,299) | 1,200 W | 16 mph | 48 V 13 Ah (624 Wh) | 88 lb | 300 or 400 lb |
Every figure is Jasion's, from each model's own page (Jasion's e-bikes). Where two of its pages print different figures for one model, the table gives both or the safer one, and the conflicts list shows each pair.
The same 12 models are in our Jasion lineup dataset and its JSON copy: every value Jasion prints for each model, the computed watt-hours and the bike we sell beside it.
The folding fat-tire bikes: X-Hunter, X-Hunter ST and Hunter Pro
All three fold and ride 20 x 4 inch tires. The X-Hunter ($799) has mechanical disc brakes and 85 N·m, and Jasion's product page lists riders from 5'3" to 6'4" (Jasion X-Hunter). The X-Hunter ST ($899) is the step-through version with hydraulic brakes and the highest payload of the three, 480 lb (Jasion X-Hunter ST).
Buyers search for the X-Hunter against the Hunter Pro. For $200 more, the Hunter Pro ($999) carries 96 Wh more battery (720 Wh), 95 N·m and hydraulic brakes, at 11 lb more, 82 lb (Jasion Hunter Pro). If you carry the bike up stairs, those 11 lb are the trade.
Thunder, Thunder Pro and Thunder Pro ST
These are the 26 x 4 inch fat-tire bikes. The Thunder ($899) pairs 864 Wh with 82 lb, and its product prose describes "a 750W (peak 1800W) motor" (Jasion Thunder). The Thunder Pro and Thunder Pro ST ($1,099 to $1,249) add a 52 V 20 Ah pack, 115 N·m and a 500 lb payload, at 96.6 lb (Jasion Thunder Pro).
Jasion fits the two Pros to riders from 5'5" up to 7'2", the widest range in its lineup (Jasion Thunder Pro ST). If you are over 6'4", that range is the reason to look at them; our tall-rider guide works through frame fit for the same problem.
RetroVolt Pro and RetroVolt Max
The RetroVolt bikes are Jasion's moped-style machines on 20 x 4 inch tires. Jasion describes the RetroVolt Pro ($899) as an upgrade with "upgraded hydraulic disc brakes, a powerful 2000W peak motor, and a 52V 20Ah battery," and its 38 mph is the highest top speed Jasion prints for a model with pedal assist (Jasion RetroVolt Pro).
The RetroVolt Max ($1,299) carries two packs for 2,080 Wh and weighs 108 lb, 26 lb more than the Pro. Both list riders from 5'4" to 6'2" and a 330 lb payload (Jasion RetroVolt Max). A RetroVolt without the Pro or Max name was not listed on the US store on October 18.
Kago and EB5 Roamer ST
The Kago ($1,099) is Jasion's cargo bike: 20 x 3 inch tires, two 52 V 20 Ah packs, 94 lb and a 350 lb payload, with "Standard For Safety: UL 2849" in its specifications (Jasion Kago). The EB5 Roamer ST ($699) is a 26 inch step-through commuter with turn signals, a 528 Wh battery Jasion calls "IPX6 waterproof," 65 lb and riders from 5'2" to 6'6" (Jasion EB5 Roamer ST).
The JT18 eTrike
The JT18 ($699) is Jasion's only three-wheeler. Its spec tab lists 88 lb, 18 x 3 inch tires, a 48 V 13 Ah battery and riders from 4'9" to 6'3", and its headline strip prints 16 mph and "Peak Power 1200W" with no rated figure (Jasion JT18).
The specification table further down the same page prints a different machine's figures: 35+ mph, two 52 V 20 Ah packs, 108 lb and riders from 5'4" to 6'2", the RetroVolt Max's own numbers (Jasion JT18). Read the strip and the spec tab, and ask Jasion to confirm the trike's weight before you plan a lift into a car.
The Patrol
The Patrol ($1,399) is a dirt-bike-style machine: up to 4,000 W peak, 145 N·m, 40 mph, a 52 V 30 Ah pack, 115 lb, 70/100 "dirtbike" tires and riders from 5'7" to 6'7" (Jasion Patrol). Its spec table lists the drive as "Throttle Only" and "0-5 Level(No Pedal Assist)."
Where Jasion's own pages disagree
Eight models carry two different figures for one specification on Jasion's own pages. Plan around the safer reading, and ask Jasion to confirm the right one in writing.
| Model | Figure | One Jasion page | Another Jasion page |
|---|---|---|---|
| X-Hunter | Max payload | 400 lb (specification strip and table) | "a maximum capacity of 330 lbs" (description) |
| X-Hunter ST | Rider height | 5'2" to 6'3" (spec tab) | 5'3" to 6'4" (table) |
| Thunder | Peak motor | "750W (peak 1800W)" (product description) | "750W (peak 1500W)" (Jasion's about page) |
| Thunder Pro, Thunder Pro ST | Motor | 2,000 W (strip and spec tab) | 1,800 W (table and description) |
| Kago | Motor | 1,500 W (strip) | 1,200 W (spec tab and description) |
| EB5 Roamer ST | Motor, payload | 1,200 W and 330 lb (its specification strip) | "1100W" (two-bike listing); "400 pounds" (its own description and the two-bike listing) |
| JT18 eTrike | Speed, motor, weight, payload | 16 mph, 1,200 W, 88 lb, 300 or 400 lb (strip and spec tab) | 35+ mph, 2,000 W, 108 lb, 330 lb (table) |
Rider height across the lineup
Jasion prints a rider-height range for every model, and the ranges differ more than the frames suggest. The JT18's spec tab starts lowest, at 4'9"; the Thunder Pro pair reaches 7'2"; and the Patrol starts at 5'7" (Jasion JT18; Jasion Thunder Pro; Jasion Patrol).
| Where Jasion's range starts | Jasion models |
|---|---|
| Under 5'2" | JT18 (from 4'9"), Hunter Pro (from 5'1") |
| 5'2" to 5'4" | EB5 Roamer ST, X-Hunter ST, Thunder, X-Hunter (from 5'3") |
| From 5'4" | RetroVolt Pro, RetroVolt Max and Kago (to 6'2") |
| From 5'5" | Thunder Pro and Thunder Pro ST (to 7'2") |
| From 5'7" | Patrol (to 6'7") |
Older Jasion names you will still see
Jasion's battery and parts listings still carry older model names, such as an "EB7 ST Spare Battery" at $349 (Jasion's EB7 ST battery). The EB7 and the YR20 appear on its blog, owners still ask about the EB3 and the earlier EB5 models, and the US store listed none of them as a bike on October 18, 2026.
Batteries, chargers and the warranty add-ons
Jasion's store listed spare packs for six of its current bikes and for the older EB7 ST on October 18, 2026, from $319 to $599:
| Spare pack | Jasion's price |
|---|---|
| EB5 Roamer Battery Pack | $319 |
| EB7 ST Spare Battery | $349 |
| RetroVolt Pro Battery | $399.99 |
| X-Hunter Battery Pack | $459 |
| X-Hunter ST Battery Pack | $459 |
| Hunter Pro Battery Pack | $519 |
| Patrol 52 Battery Pack | $599 |
A "Jasion Battery Charger" lists at $39, and Jasion also sells an "Extra One Year Warranty" for $199 and a $79 "Comprehensive E-Bike Protection" plan (Jasion's extra warranty).
Read two pages per model On eight models, two of Jasion's own pages print different numbers. Plan around the lower payload and the higher weight, and confirm the figure that decides your purchase by email.
Our picks: a bike we sell beside each Jasion
We do not sell Jasion. For eight Jasion models, the card below is a bike we sell that stands on the same footing or a lower one: a motor rated at or under 750 W, a top speed its maker sets at or under the Jasion's, and one motor. How we matched them has the detail.
Each card's price, stock and specifications were read at its own maker's US store on October 19, 2026, and each matches its maker's price. Find your Jasion in the table below; the name of the bike beside it opens that bike's card.

VTUVIA Zeal LT7
$1,099 · maker's list $1,299If the Roamer's low step and daily-commute job are what you want, the Zeal LT7 does both on a 500 W rating. VTUVIA's Zeal LT7 page lists a "500W (PEAK 750W)" motor, a torque sensor, a Shimano 7-speed, a 624 Wh LG battery, dual hydraulic disc brakes, 27.5 x 2.6 inch tires, a 350 lb payload and 62 lb with its rack and fenders.
Its step-through height is 18.5 inches, and VTUVIA recommends it for riders from 5'3" to 6'2". You pay $400 more than you would for the Roamer. Our Zeal LT7 review works out its range and fit.

Beside the Jasion X-Hunter ST
The X-Hunter ST is the step-through member of Jasion's folding fat-tire family: $899, a "750W BLDC motor (peaking at 1400W)" in its own description, 30+ mph, a 624 Wh battery, hydraulic brakes, 71 lb and a 480 lb payload (Jasion X-Hunter ST).
VTUVIA SX20 Antelope
$1,299 · maker's list $1,599If you want the X-Hunter ST's folding step-through on 20 x 4 inch tires, the SX20 keeps that shape on the same 750 W rating Jasion's description gives its motor. VTUVIA's SX20 page lists a 750 W motor with a 1,200 W peak and 85 N·m, a torque sensor, a 672 Wh LG battery, hydraulic disc brakes, a 330 lb total capacity and 70 lb with its racks and fenders.
The same page says, "The SX20 can reach speeds of up to 20MPH with both throttle and pedal assist," and VTUVIA recommends it for riders from 5'0" to 6'2". You pay $400 more than you would for the X-Hunter ST. If you and your load come to more than 330 lb, read the Graoopro's card for 450 lb. Our SX20 review covers its range and fold.
VTUVIA had four more colors in stock on October 19, and we ship each: Red, Cream White, Silvery and White.
Ships free to the 48 contiguous states · warranty repairs arranged with VTUVIA through us · a damaged delivery reported in 48 hours gets our carrier claim

Beside the Jasion Hunter Pro and X-Hunter
Jasion's blog calls the Hunter Pro's motor "1000W rated, 1800W peak" and the X-Hunter's "750W nominal (1400W peak)" (Jasion's Hunter Pro features; Jasion's folding fat-tire guide). Both fold, both print 30+ mph, and they carry 720 Wh and 624 Wh.
Addmotor Foldtan M-160
$1,499 · maker's list $2,099If a folding fat-tire bike is the point, the Foldtan M-160 gives you a bigger pack than either Jasion on a 750 W rating. Addmotor's Foldtan M-160 page lists a 750 W rear motor, a 48 V 20 Ah Samsung battery (960 Wh), a torque sensor with seven assist levels, hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, 20 x 4.0 inch tires, a 300 lb payload and a 20 mph top speed.
Addmotor's geometry chart puts the bike at 81.6 lb and the standover at 14.4 inches. You pay $500 more than you would for the Hunter Pro and $700 more than for the X-Hunter, and it carries 100 lb less than the Hunter Pro's 400 lb, so if you and your load come to more than 300 lb, read the TIGER RL's card. Our Foldtan M-160 review works out its range.
Addmotor also had White, Yellow and Red in stock on October 19: White, Yellow and Red.

Where we have no match today
Four Jasion models have no card. The Thunder, Thunder Pro and Thunder Pro ST ride 26 x 4 inch tires, and the 26 x 4 inch bike we would set beside them, VTUVIA's Reindeer 2.0, was sold out at VTUVIA on October 19, 2026. The Patrol's drive is "Throttle Only," with no pedal assist, so no bicycle stands beside it (Jasion Patrol).
For a big fat-tire frame, our fat-tire guide and our tall-rider guide list what we stock; for an off-road machine, read our electric dirt bike guide.
Why buy one of these from us
You order from one store at each maker's own price, read on the day, and the company that stands behind your order is named in our terms of service. One email address, support@redtailebikes.com, covers VTUVIA, Addmotor, Qiolor, Eunorau and DWMEIGI, and our contact page says we typically reply within one business day; a voicemail left on our line is always returned.
Shipping is free on every e-bike within the contiguous United States. We dispatch within 1–3 business days of confirmation, and most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch (our shipping policy).
Found damage at delivery? Email us photos within 48 hours of delivery, and we file the carrier claim and arrange the replacement or repair. A defect falls under its maker's warranty, and we coordinate the repair or replacement with you remotely (our refund policy). Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work at our checkout.
How we matched each bike
A card appears only when our bike's motor rating is at or under the figure Jasion prints for the model beside it, and the top speed its maker sets is no higher than the one Jasion prints. Where Jasion prints a rated figure, as on the X-Hunter ST, the card matches it; where it prints only a peak, the card's motor is rated at 750 W or less, under Jasion's lowest headline figure.
Every card has one motor. Owner and reviewer feedback was read for each bike before it went on the page, and each maker's US store was read that day for its price, stock and the specification behind the card.
Each card sits beside a named Jasion and ships free to the lower 48, with its maker's figures read on October 19, 2026.
Back to the eight cardsRated or peak: what Jasion's motor numbers mean
Jasion's headline motor figure is the peak on most models, from 1,200 W to 4,000 W, and its own Patrol article says so plainly: "Up to 4000W refers to Patrol's peak motor power. It is not the same as a continuous rated-power specification" (Jasion's Patrol review).
The e-bike definitions below draw their line in watts without naming peak or rated, which is why the rated figure is the one to ask for (Fla. Stat. § 316.003(23); 15 U.S.C. § 2085(b)). Jasion prints one for five models, each in a different place:
| Model | Rated figure Jasion prints | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| X-Hunter | "750W nominal (1400W peak)" | Jasion's folding fat-tire guide (Jasion blog) |
| X-Hunter ST | "750W BLDC motor (peaking at 1400W)" | its own product description (Jasion X-Hunter ST) |
| Hunter Pro | "1000W rated, 1800W peak hub motor" | Jasion's Hunter Pro features article (Jasion blog) |
| Thunder | "750W (peak 1800W)" | its own product description (Jasion Thunder) |
| Thunder Pro | "1200W continuous / 2000W peak" | Jasion's 35 mph guide (Jasion blog) |
For the other seven (the EB5 Roamer ST, Thunder Pro ST, RetroVolt Pro, RetroVolt Max, Kago, Patrol and JT18), the pages we read print a headline or peak figure only. If your state's rule turns on watts, email support@jasionbike.com and ask for the rated (continuous) output of the motor on the model you want, in writing.
Ask for the rated figure A 1,400 W peak and a 750 W rating describe the same X-Hunter motor. The rated figure is the one that answers the 750-watt question, so get it from Jasion for your model.
Speed, classes and the law: where a Jasion stands
Before you ride a Jasion two-wheeler on a public street or path, find out how fast its throttle alone will take it. At the top speeds Jasion prints, from 28 to 40 mph with a throttle on every model, none of the 51 jurisdictions we screen, the 50 states and the District of Columbia, takes one in as an e-bike.
What the definitions say
Most states use three classes, and the throttle is what separates them. Florida writes a Class 2 bike as one "equipped with a motor that may be used exclusively to propel the electric bicycle and that ceases to provide assistance when the electric bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour" (Fla. Stat. § 316.003(23)).
Florida's Class 3 bike assists "only when the rider is pedaling" up to 28 mph, and the whole definition covers "a bicycle or tricycle" with "an electric motor of less than 750 watts" (Fla. Stat. § 316.003(23)). A throttle that pushes a bike past 20 mph fits none of the three.
The federal safety definition governs how the CPSC regulates the product, not where you ride: a "two- or three-wheeled vehicle with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less than 750 watts (1 h.p.)" whose top speed on the motor alone, with a 170-pound rider, "is less than 20 mph" (15 U.S.C. § 2085(b)).
What our 51-jurisdiction screen gives
We ran Jasion's printed figures through each jurisdiction's definition in our state-by-state law guide, giving every two-wheeler except the Patrol the benefit of a 500 W rating:
- At 28 mph with a throttle, the EB5 Roamer ST's and Kago's figure: 0 definitions take the bike in, 49 leave it out, and Alaska and Kentucky set no e-bike definition. The common reason is Florida's: a throttle that carries the bike past 20 mph.
- At 30 to 38 mph with a throttle, the X-Hunter family, the Thunder family and both RetroVolts: the same, 0 in, 49 out, 2 with no definition.
- The Patrol at 4,000 W and 40 mph, throttle only: 0 in, 49 out, 2 with no definition.
The screen reads the throttle as reaching each model's printed top speed, because neither Jasion's product pages nor their FAQs print a separate throttle speed for any of the 12. If Jasion tells you in writing that a throttle stops at 20 mph, the answer changes state by state, and our law guide gives yours.
Jasion's assist levels
Jasion's product FAQs list a top speed for each of five pedal-assist (PAS) levels (Jasion RetroVolt Max). PAS 3 stops at 20 mph on every model that lists them, and PAS 5 reaches the model's top figure:
| Model | PAS 1 | PAS 2 | PAS 3 | PAS 4 | PAS 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| X-Hunter, Hunter Pro, Thunder | 16 mph | 18 mph | 20 mph | 23 mph | 30+ mph |
| X-Hunter ST | 10 mph | 18 mph | 20 mph | 25 mph | 30+ mph |
| Thunder Pro, Thunder Pro ST | 16 mph | 18 mph | 20 mph | 28 mph | 35 mph |
| RetroVolt Pro | 10 mph | 15 mph | 20 mph | 25 mph | 38 mph |
| RetroVolt Max | 10 mph | 15 mph | 20 mph | 25 mph | 35 mph |
| Kago | 10 mph | 15 mph | 20 mph | 25 mph | 28 mph |
Each row is the answer to question 8 in that model's product FAQ (X-Hunter; Thunder Pro; RetroVolt Pro; Kago).
Riding in PAS 3 holds the pedal assist to 20 mph on that ride, and you can switch back to PAS 5 at any time, so our screen reads the model's printed top speed. If you want a bike whose maker prints a 20 mph top speed, the SX20, Foldtan M-160, Graoopro, TIGER RL and TIGER RE cards above carry that figure (Qiolor calls its 20 mph the default).
The JT18 trike
The JT18 prints 16 mph and "Peak Power 1200W" with no rated figure, so we screened it at three ratings with a throttle and its spec tab's 88 lb (Jasion JT18). At 500 W, 48 of the 51 definitions take it in; at 750 W, 29 do; at 1,200 W, 4 do. Alaska and Kentucky set none at any rating.
The 750 W count drops because 19 states write their line as "less than" or "fewer than" 750 watts, which leaves a motor rated at 750 W outside, and Florida is one of them (Fla. Stat. § 316.003(23)). A third wheel takes the JT18 out of neither Florida's definition nor the federal one, since both name three wheels.
Pennsylvania's definition covers "a vehicle weighing not more than 100 pounds with two or three wheels" and a motor "rated at not more than 750 watts" (75 Pa.C.S. § 102). At the 88 lb on the JT18's spec tab it qualifies; at the 108 lb its spec table prints, it would not. Confirm the weight with Jasion before you register or ride one there.
New Jersey leaves the JT18 out of its e-bike definition at every rating. Its law, approved January 19, 2026 and in effect since, defines a low-speed electric bicycle as "a two-wheeled vehicle" whose motor assists "only when the rider is pedaling," and makes a bike "capable of propelling the bicycle in excess of 15 miles per hour through the use of a throttle" a motorized bicycle (P.L.2025, c.285).
The same act's motorcycle definition reaches "all motor-operated vehicles of the bicycle or tricycle type," apart from those two categories, so a throttle trike could be read either way (P.L.2025, c.285).
As a motorized bicycle, its rider must carry a driver's license, an insurance identification card and a registration certificate, or face "a fine not exceeding $50" (P.L.2025, c.285, section 5). Ask the Motor Vehicle Commission which one the JT18 is before you ride it on a New Jersey road.
The Patrol under the law
The Patrol prints 4,000 W peak, 40 mph and "Throttle Only" drive, and at those figures none of the 49 definitions we screen takes it in (Alaska and Kentucky set none; Jasion Patrol).
Jasion's own Patrol article puts it this way: "Where you can ride Patrol depends on the vehicle rules for that location," and its "up to 40 mph top speed and throttle-only drive differ from the usual Class 1, 2, and 3 ebike definitions in many states" (Jasion's Patrol review).
The same article tells a commuter to "confirm the classification of your Patrol configuration with the relevant local authority." Do that before the first ride, with your state's motor vehicle agency, and keep the written answer (Jasion's Patrol review).
In a national park
The National Park Service draws its e-bike line at "an electric motor of not more than 750 watts," in three classes (36 CFR 1.4). The federal safety definition says "less than 750 watts"; a bike rated under 750 W sits inside both.
A machine outside that definition counts in the regulations as a "motor vehicle," and "Operating a motor vehicle is prohibited except on park roads, in parking areas and on routes and areas designated for off-road motor vehicle use" (36 CFR 4.10(a)). E-bikes themselves may use only the roads and trails a superintendent designates for them (36 CFR 4.30(i)).
A conviction under these park rules carries the penalties of 18 U.S.C. 1865 (36 CFR 1.3(a)): up to 6 months' imprisonment, a fine, or both (18 U.S.C. § 1865(a)). So before you take a Jasion two-wheeler into a park, read that park's e-bike designations and plan on the roads open to motor vehicles.
The Park Service published a proposed rule on bicycle use on September 1, 2026, with a comment deadline of November 2, 2026; it would keep the § 1.4 definition of an electric bicycle as it is (91 FR 56095).
Read your own state's definition, its watt line and its throttle rule, each linked to the statute that sets it.
Check your state's e-bike rulesJasion's warranty, returns and shipping, read in full
Jasion's terms favor you if you check the bike on arrival and keep the box. The three pages below set the windows, and each one starts on the day the bike arrives.
What the one-year warranty covers
"All JASION bikes carry a one (1) year warranty from the date of receipt of the bike for manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship," and the warranty belongs to the first buyer (Jasion's warranty). A second owner keeps it only while the year is still running and with "the initial owner's name and the initial order number."
The frame, the battery and original parts each carry one year. A defective frame "can be replaced with a new one," but "labor charges for frame replacement are not covered," and the owner pays the shipping on warranty spare parts (Jasion's warranty). Jasion asks for proof of purchase and photos or videos with every claim, and it will not ship parts until it has seen them.
The warranty applies only to bikes bought "from authorized channels within the designated country or region of purchase," and for a bike moved elsewhere, service "may be restricted or declined" (Jasion's warranty). If you bought through Amazon or Walmart, the same page says your first contact for a warranty issue is "the official website or online retailer where you purchased your bike."
Returns and cancellations
The return page at jasionbike.com lets you start a return within 14 days of delivery, with Jasion's approval first, if the bike is unworn, "with an odometer mileage of less than ten (10) miles," clean and in its original packaging (Jasion's return and refund policy). For a change of mind, "a $180 return shipping fee will be deducted from the refund."
Canceling before shipment costs "a 5% handling fee," and after shipment "a $180 processing fee." An unauthorized return can draw a 25% restocking fee, and Jasion gives its refund period as "7-15 business days" (Jasion's return policy).
The same page lists "sale items" among goods it does not take back "except in extreme cases of breakage or malfunction covered under our warranty" (Jasion's return policy). Every bike on the store was below its regular price on October 18, so ask Jasion in writing whether the 14-day window applies to the bike you order.
Shipping
Jasion ships "to the Continental United States, excluding Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico," processes orders in "1-2 business days" and gives a typical delivery time of "5-7 business days" (Jasion's shipping policy). Jasion's about page promises delivery "in just 2-4 days across 49 states," so plan around the policy's longer figure.
A shipping-damage claim needs notice "within 7 days of receiving the goods," dated photos or videos, the original packaging and a note of the damage on the bill of lading. If a shipped order is refused or cannot be delivered, "a $180 fee will be charged" (Jasion's shipping policy).
Buying a Jasion on Amazon or Walmart
Jasion's own warning page sends Amazon shoppers to search "JasionBike" and check the seller, and its military discount of $50 is "not available on Jasion's Amazon store" (Jasion's military discount). Warranty requests on a marketplace bike start with the retailer, under the warranty page quoted above.
Our guide to e-bikes at Walmart covers who actually sells each listing there and how Walmart's return window works.
What owners say
On Trustpilot, JasionBike's claimed profile showed a TrustScore of 4.1 from 983 reviews on October 19, 2026, and the profile notes that Jasion invites its customers to review (Trustpilot, JasionBike). Read its one-star and two-star pages alongside the five-star ones.
The questions owners post on Reddit run to speed and parts: how to take the speed limiter off an X-Hunter (r/ebikes, March 26, 2026), where to find a replacement battery for a YR20 (r/ebikes, May 22, 2026) and why an EB5's brakes are loud (r/ebikes, June 17, 2025). Put the parts question to Jasion's support line before you buy, along with the rated watts.

See the eight bikes we sellBefore you buy a Jasion: the checklist
Eight checks cover what a Jasion spec sheet leaves open before you pay: the rated watts, the throttle speed, your state's line, the figures two pages disagree on, the certificate, the seller, the delivery inspection and the box.
- Ask Jasion for the rated (continuous) watts of the model you want, in writing.
- Ask how fast the throttle alone goes, and whether that speed is fixed or set in the display.
- Check your state's definition in our law guide against those two answers.
- Read the model's strip, spec tab and table, and plan around the lower payload and the higher weight where they differ.
- Ask for the UL certificate number and the issuing lab for the exact model.
- Buy only at jasionbike.com or a seller you have checked against Jasion's fake-website page.
- Inspect the bike on arrival, note any damage on the bill of lading and send photos within 7 days.
- Keep the box for 14 days, and do not pass 10 miles until you are sure you are keeping the bike.
Three answers in writing The rated watts, the throttle speed and the UL certificate settle most of what a Jasion spec sheet leaves open. Ask for all three before you pay.

Frequently asked questions
If a Jasion's speed or watts rule it out where you ride, each card beside it is a bike we ship free to the lower 48.
Compare the eight bikes we sellIs Jasion a good e-bike brand?
Jasion sells low-priced e-bikes with a US phone line, a one-year warranty and 14 days from delivery to ask for a return, and the CPSC had no recall, warning or news release naming it on October 18, 2026 (CPSC recalls). Its two-wheelers print 28 to 40 mph with a throttle, which puts them outside every US e-bike definition we screen at those speeds. Get the rated watts and throttle speed in writing first.
Who makes Jasion e-bikes?
Jasion's pages do not name a manufacturer. The JASION trademark is registered to Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd. of Shenzhen, China, U.S. Registration No. 6,417,763, with no assignment recorded, and the same company applied for JASIONBIKE in March 2026 (USPTO record). Jasion's terms say the site "is operated by JASION."
Are Jasion and Heybike the same company?
The trademark records link them. Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd. is the registrant of both JASION and HEYBIKE, and the HEYBIKE record shows an assignment to HEYBIKE INC. of Rowland Heights, California (USPTO record). Heybike's 2022 press release calls its founder and CEO "Jasion." The records do not show who builds either brand's bikes today.
Where are Jasion e-bikes made?
Jasion's US pages do not name a country of manufacture. Its trademark owner is a Shenzhen, China company, and a June 2025 Jasion post said its Hunter Pro, X-Hunter and YR20 had "arrived at customs" (Jasion delivery update). It ships from warehouses in Georgia, California, New Jersey and Florida.
Where is Jasion located?
Jasion's store record lists Ontario, California, and its locator map shows six self-pickup warehouses, four of them in California, plus one each in New Jersey and Georgia (Jasion's store locator). Its terms of service are governed by the laws of the UK, and its trademark owner is based in Shenzhen, China.
Is Jasion legit?
Jasion runs its own US store at jasionbike.com with a phone line, an email address, a warranty page and a return page that gives 14 days from delivery. It warns that e-rideworld.com and naturistore.shop are not its websites, and it lists jasionbike.com, jasionbikes.eu and jasionbike.uk as its official domains (Jasion's fake-website notice).
Are Jasion e-bikes UL certified?
Jasion prints a UL standard number for 5 of its 12 models: UL 2849 for the Kago, Thunder Pro and Thunder Pro ST, and UL 2849 with a UL 2271 battery for the RetroVolt Max and the EB5 Roamer ST (Jasion Kago). For any model, ask Jasion for the certificate number and the issuing lab before you buy.
Are Jasion e-bikes waterproof?
Jasion calls the EB5 Roamer ST's battery "IPX6 waterproof" and the X-Hunter's battery "IPX-6 waterproof," and its warranty excludes damage from "abnormal exposure to liquid" (Jasion X-Hunter; Jasion's warranty). For any other model, ask Jasion for the rating of the battery and the whole bike before you ride in rain.
Is the Jasion RetroVolt street legal?
The RetroVolt Pro prints 38 mph and the RetroVolt Max 35+ mph, each with a throttle (Jasion RetroVolt Pro). At those figures, none of the 49 state and DC definitions we screen counts either bike as an e-bike, and Alaska and Kentucky have no definition. Ask your state's motor vehicle agency how it classes the bike before you ride on public streets.
Are Jasion e-bikes street legal in Florida?
Florida's definition admits a throttle only up to 20 mph and a motor of "less than 750 watts" (Fla. Stat. § 316.003(23)). Every Jasion two-wheeler prints 28 mph or more with a throttle, which falls outside all three of Florida's classes at that speed. The JT18 trike, at 16 mph, qualifies in Florida if its motor is rated under 750 W.
Can you change the max speed on a Jasion?
Jasion's product FAQs list a top speed per pedal-assist level, and PAS 3 stops at 20 mph on every model that lists them (Jasion Kago). A lower setting limits the assist on that ride and can be switched back. For a 20 mph top speed printed by the maker, see the SX20, Foldtan M-160 and Graoopro cards; Qiolor gives 20 mph as the TIGER RL's and TIGER RE's default.
How fast is the Jasion Hunter Pro?
Jasion prints 30+ mph for the Hunter Pro, with assist levels of 16, 18, 20 and 23 mph below that (Jasion Hunter Pro). Its blog lists the motor as "1000W rated, 1800W peak." At 30 mph with a throttle, none of the 49 state and DC definitions we screen counts it as an e-bike.
What is the Jasion warranty?
One year from the date the first owner receives the bike, for defects in materials and workmanship, covering the frame, battery and original parts (Jasion's warranty). Frame-replacement labor and the shipping of warranty parts are the owner's cost, and Jasion asks for photos or videos with every claim.
What is Jasion's return policy?
Returns open for 14 days from delivery, with approval first, on a clean, unworn bike under 10 miles in its original box (Jasion's return policy). A change of mind costs $180, deducted from the refund, and canceling costs 5% before shipment or $180 after it. Its policy also lists sale items among goods it does not take back, so ask first.
What is Jasion's customer service phone number?
Jasion's phone number is 1 (888) 825 6366, answered Monday to Friday, "10:00 AM–7:00 PM (EDT) / 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (EST)." Its email is support@jasionbike.com, and its contact form promises an answer within 1–2 business days (Jasion's contact page).
Does Jasion have a discount code?
Jasion's discount page sends a $50 promo code to military, teachers, police, firefighters, medical staff and university students who email proof of identity, for e-bikes only (Jasion's discount page). The code cannot be combined with other offers and does not work on Jasion's Amazon store, and every bike on its own store was already below its regular price on October 18, 2026.
The bottom line
Jasion is a direct-to-consumer brand whose JASION trademark belongs to Shenzhen Infino Technology Co., Ltd., the original registrant of HEYBIKE (USPTO record). It sells 12 models at prices from $699, with a US phone line and a one-year warranty. Its two-wheelers print 28 to 40 mph with a throttle, which no state or DC definition we screen admits at those figures.
If you buy one, get the rated watts, the throttle's top speed and the UL certificate in writing, and ride where your state's rules allow at those figures. If you would rather buy from us, start from the Jasion you were weighing:
- EB5 Roamer ST: order the VTUVIA Zeal LT7, $1,099
- X-Hunter ST: order the VTUVIA SX20 Antelope, $1,299
- Hunter Pro or X-Hunter: order the Addmotor Foldtan M-160, $1,499
- Kago: order the Addmotor Graoopro, $1,499
- RetroVolt Max: order the Qiolor TIGER RE, $1,399, or the Eunorau FLASH LITE 2.0, $1,899
- JT18 eTrike: order the DWMEIGI MG708 Hera, $1,499
Each ships free to the lower 48. If you want the RetroVolt look from a bike we sell, the Qiolor TIGER RL costs $1,099.
Rated at 750 W, with a 20 mph default top speed and a 400 lb load, shipped free to the lower 48.
Order the TIGER RL for $1,099Limitations
Nine limits apply to this page. Each one says what the record behind it covers, what it cannot show you, and what to ask Jasion or check yourself before you rely on it.
- Peak and rated figures. Jasion's headline motor figure is a peak on most models, and it prints a rated figure for five. The screen gives every two-wheeler except the Patrol the benefit of a 500 W rating, and its true rating cannot change the result, because the printed top speed with a throttle already decides it.
- Throttle speed. Jasion's pages print one top speed per model and no separate throttle speed, so the screen reads the throttle as reaching the printed speed. A written answer from Jasion that the throttle stops at 20 mph would change the result state by state.
- Conflicting figures. Eight models carry two different figures on Jasion's own pages; the table prints both or the safer one, and the conflicts list gives each pair.
- The trademark record. The Trademark Office's status pages refused repeated requests on October 18, 2026, so the four records were read in full through its trademark search service by serial number, and the links above open the status pages.
- Ownership. The records show who registered and owns the marks; they do not show which factory builds Jasion's bikes or which company employs its support staff.
- Owner reviews. Trustpilot's score comes from reviews that customers choose to write, and Jasion invites its customers to review: of the 23 reviews on the profile page we read, 16 carried Trustpilot's "Invited" label.
- The law screen. Our screen reads state definitions; cities, counties and park units can set their own rules, and a state agency's reading of a machine outside its definition is its own.
- Prices and stock. Jasion's prices were read on October 18, 2026 and ours on October 19; both can change without notice.
- One publisher per record. Jasion and each card's maker alone publish their own prices, specifications and terms, and the Trademark Office, the CPSC, the legislatures, the Park Service and the Federal Register alone publish their records and texts, so each of those facts rests on one reading of that publisher's own record, kept on file.
Expiry conditions
This profile is a reading of Jasion's store and the public records on October 18 and 19, 2026, and it goes out of date when any of these happens:
- Jasion changes a model's price, motor figure, top speed or listing, or adds a model to the US store.
- The CPSC posts a recall, warning or news release naming Jasion or a Jasion model.
- The USPTO records an assignment of JASION, or JASIONBIKE registers or is opposed.
- The Park Service finalizes its September 1, 2026 proposal, or a state changes its e-bike definition.
- A card's bike sells out at its maker, or its maker changes its price.
Image credit: the eight bike photographs on the cards are their makers' own (VTUVIA, Addmotor, Qiolor, Eunorau and DWMEIGI), each in the colorway its card shows, resized or cropped only and never retouched.
Cover: Jasion's own photograph of the X-Hunter in White, scaled as a whole with no pixel of the bike altered. The studio it stands in was generated with Nano Banana Pro on Playcut, and the type was set on top afterward.
