What the Tiger RE actually is
It sits in the moped-style category we cover in our guide to electric mopeds, and against the rest of the 750 W machines we sell. It is a café-racer silhouette built on a fat-tire e-bike: a tank-shaped cover over a removable battery, a bench seat, a moto handlebar, and 20 × 4.0 INNOVA rubber at both ends. The frame is aluminum alloy and the whole machine weighs 98 lb with its pack in.
One thing decides how it rides more than any spec on the sheet: it is single speed. There is no derailleur and no cassette. Your only ratios are the six assist gears and the throttle, which is why this machine is happiest on flat and rolling ground and why a hilly daily commute is a different conversation.
How fast the Qiolor Tiger RE actually goes
This is the question the internet does not answer cleanly. Put it to an AI search engine and one answer in our own panel returned three different top speeds in a single reply — 33 mph, 20 mph and 26 mph — and resolved none of them.
A reviewer who rode the bigger, geared machine in the same family published 30 mph. Qiolor's own page says something else again.
Our own dash, mid-ride on the dirt road, reading 49.2 — kilometers per hour on this machine, so 30.6 mph — with the assist on gear 5 of 5.
Our own dash answered it sixteen times in under two minutes.
Across one 110-second clip we pulled sixteen legible frames off the display. Every one of them sat above 20 mph. The readings ran from 20.2 mph to 30.6 mph — 32.5 to 49.2 km/h, since the display on our machine was set to kilometers — with the assist on gear 5, the top of the six.

Takeaway
- Sixteen readings, none under 20 mph. Pulled frame by frame from our own footage: 20.2 to 30.6 mph, every one at assist gear 5.
- The number on that screen is speed, and Qiolor's own manual says so — printed p7, item 15: "displaying the speed value, with two digits including one decimal place."
- It is a display reading. An owner with 2,000 miles on his checked the same dash against a phone GPS and got 26 to 27 mph.
- Qiolor sets 20 mph and calls the ceiling adjustable — its own product page, and the setting is left to the owner.
Every legible reading from the clip, plotted against the 20 mph ceiling Qiolor sets at the factory. The shaded band is everything below that ceiling, and nothing we recorded entered it.
Read that as what the screen said, not as verified ground speed. An owner of the same model, with no commercial tie to anyone, checked his dash against a phone GPS and published what he found.
The display says 30-34 mph but if you get a speedometer app on your phone and track it, you'll find that it reaches 26-27 mph, rarely 28 mph.
Our number is a display reading. His is a display reading checked against a second instrument, and it says this dash reads optimistically by several miles an hour.
So the honest shape of the answer is: this dash showed well clear of 20 mph throughout, and the one owner who checked the same display against a phone GPS put the real figure in the mid-to-high twenties.

What Qiolor says about the ceiling
The maker is direct about it. Qiolor's own product page reads: "All of our ebikes come out of the box as a Class II e-bike, equipped with pedal assist and throttle. The default maximum speed is set to 20 MPH, which can be adjusted according to user preferences."
Qiolor states the ceiling can be adjusted and leaves the setting to the owner.
That matters to you, not to Qiolor. A Class 2 e-bike is defined by a motor that stops assisting at 20 mph. Raise the ceiling and the machine may stop meeting your state's definition of an e-bike — and that definition is what decides where you may ride it.
Read your state's rule before you touch the setting. This is a whole-category question rather than a Qiolor one: the ceiling is set at the factory and the maker leaves adjusting it to the owner.

The throttle is a half twist and it works without pedaling, which is what makes this Class 2 rather than Class 1. Assist runs on six gears, 0 through 5. The manual is explicit that gear 0 is no assist at all: "When 0 gear is displayed, it is no power assist gear."
The product page describes the same control set as Eco, Normal and Sport. The display calls its modes something else again. Three vocabularies, one control set — worth knowing before you go looking for a "Sport" label on the screen.
The screen itself is a 3.2" color LCD rated IPX5, and it carries both km/h and mph segments. Which unit ships as the default is not stated on the product page.
The surface the speed readings were taken on: a graded dirt road, ridden from the saddle. The frame is wide-angle, so the horizon curves.
Brakes
Dual-piston hydraulic calipers at both ends are the one component Qiolor publishes for this bike and not for the cheaper Tigers, and on a 98 lb machine running at the speeds this dash showed they are the component that matters most. The manual names the supplier as Logan.
At 98 lb and the speeds this dash showed, brakes are not a place to economize, and dual-piston hydraulics are the right answer at this price. Qiolor publishes "Dual-Piston Hydraulic Brakes" for this bike and "hydraulic disc brake" for the cheaper ones, without a piston count.
Battery and real-world range
Qiolor publishes up to 130 miles for the 35 Ah pack. Read the maker's own footnote with it: that figure is measured at PAS 1 — the lowest assist gear, pedaling.
What 1,680 watt-hours has to do per mile to reach each figure. The scale is ours; every input is Qiolor's.
The arithmetic from the maker's own numbers runs like this. A 48 V 35 Ah pack holds 1,680 Wh. Spread across 130 miles, that is 12.9 Wh per mile, which is what a light rider pedaling hard in the lowest gear on flat ground might achieve.
Ride it the way the photographs show it being ridden — gear 5, throttle available, 98 lb of bike — and your consumption goes up and your range comes down. That is not a criticism of the number; it is what PAS 1 means.

The strongest figure in the 36 owner reports we collected comes from Jo T., a verified buyer on Qiolor's own page: "Amazing ride just hit 50 miles on the bike on hilly Pennsylvania roads and still have 75% battery." Read against a 1,680 Wh pack that is 8.4 Wh per mile — an upper bound rather than an expectation, and one that rests on his own mileage readout and battery gauge rather than on an instrument.
The useful way to plan: decide which assist gear you actually ride in, then work from 1,680 Wh at the consumption that gear gives you. Charging the 35 Ah pack takes 10 to 12 hours, and the pack lifts out of the frame so it can charge indoors.
Weight, fit and handling
At 98 lb it is a heavy machine, and the number has consequences the spec sheet does not spell out. It is not a bike you carry up a stoop, lift onto a standard trunk rack, or right easily on your own if it goes over.

Qiolor publishes a rider height range of 5'1" to 5'9", a seat height of 30.5" and a standover of 11.8". The 400 lb max load is generous and covers the rider plus a substantial load.
Qiolor's US page and its manual give different figures, and you will meet both. The product page gives a 400 lb max load, a 98 lb bike weight and a 20 mph Class 2 setting. The manual's parameter page gives 75 kg (165 lb), 36 kg (79 lb) and a maximum design speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph).
That parameter page is a metric homologation sheet written for a different market configuration rather than the US one, and the US figures are the ones that describe the machine we sell. We print both because you will find both.

The law, and where you can ride it
As delivered, the Tiger RE is a Class 2 e-bike: throttle-capable, assist stopping at 20 mph. What that permits is set state by state, and local rules decide paths and trails.
Two things change that. Raising the speed ceiling may take the machine outside your state's e-bike definition entirely. And the throttle is a separate question from the speed: some jurisdictions treat a throttle machine differently from a pedal-assist one, whatever it is doing.

Buy the Tiger RE if you want a genuinely good-looking moped-style e-bike for flat and rolling ground, you are between 5'1" and 5'9", and you value brakes and suspension over gears. It is the wrong machine for hills, for anyone who has to lift 98 lb, and for anyone outside the published height window.

- The speed figures are what the dash displayed, not instrumented ground speed — and the one owner who checked this display against a phone GPS found it reads several miles per hour high. No range, stopping-distance, wattage or slope measurement was taken, so nothing here tests Qiolor's range figure against a ride of ours.
- The filmed evidence is one evening. Roughly twelve minutes of footage from July 5, 2025 is the dated record; the 40-plus miles is the rider's own account of several sessions, and the two are different grades of evidence.
- Temperature and location are not recorded, so no weather-dependent claim is made anywhere on this page.
- The unit on the display is the rider's statement. Qiolor publishes both km/h and mph segments and no default, so which unit shipped is not in the maker's record; our rider states the machine was set to km/h.
- The same ambiguity reaches owners' range figures. The manual states the mileage readout switches between miles and kilometers as well, and publishes no default for it either, so an owner quoting a distance off this display may be quoting either unit. Jo T.'s figure is quoted as the buyer wrote it.
- Qiolor's own documents conflict on load, weight and dimensions. The manual's parameter page is a metric sheet for a different market configuration. Where the two disagree we publish the US product page figure and name the conflict.
- Qiolor publishes no watt-hour figure for this model; the 1,680 Wh is computed from its own 48 V and 35 Ah.
- What our certification search covered. We searched the UL Solutions and TUV Rheinland registers on September 21 and 22, 2026, and proved each search against brands those registers do hold before trusting what it returned. A brand we did not find in a register we searched is a fact about our search on that date.
