Lectric return policy 2026 guide cover: a photograph from about 1897 of Wilbur Wright at work in his bicycle shop in Dayton, Ohio, beside the headline 14 days, unridden only, a seal reading verified October 4, 2026, and the figures $300 ceiling on the restocking fee, 1 year warranty from the delivery date and 9 to 4 Pacific time, Monday to Friday

What Lectric's refund policy, shipping policy and warranty say when you want to cancel, return, claim or call, read clause by clause on October 4, 2026, with the date each rule last changed.

Quick Answer Lectric's return policy takes an e-bike back only if it is unridden, unused and in its original packaging, you have had it fewer than 14 days, and Lectric has authorized the return in writing. You pay the return shipping, and the refund policy allows a restocking fee of up to $300.

Cancel before the shipment confirmation email arrives and the refund is full. Shipping damage has to be reported in writing within 14 days of delivery, and the warranty runs one year from the delivery date and follows the bike to a later owner.

Lectric's support line is 602-715-0907, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific, and its email is contact@lectricebikes.com. We do not sell Lectric; our Lectric profile names the bikes we sell beside five of its six models, and every e-bike we sell ships free within the contiguous United States.

How we verified this 2026 guide. On October 4, 2026 we read Lectric's refund policy, shipping policy, warranty, terms of service, contact page and help-center articles on its US store. To date each change we read 31 archived copies of the refund policy and 20 of the warranty. Extended-plan prices come from 16 product pages as a US shopper sees them. We do not sell Lectric; we sell other e-bikes, and that is our interest here.

The Lectric return policy at a glance

Find your situation in the left column. Each row gives the rule in the words of Lectric's refund policy, last revised June 4, 2026, or of the document named in the row, and the step that protects you.

Where you are What Lectric's text says What to do
Ordered, no tracking email yet "You may cancel your order for a full refund" Call or email today
Tracking email received "you are responsible for a return shipping fee" Ask Lectric in writing what the return will cost
Delivered, unridden, under 14 days Returnable if "unused" and in "the original packaging", with Lectric's consent Request written authorization before you ship
Ridden, even once Not eligible "if it is an eBike, it has been ridden" A fault is a warranty claim
Arrived damaged Claim "no later than 14 days after receipt", in the shipping policy Photograph it and write the same day
A fault inside one year Lectric will "repair or replace", in the warranty Email Lectric's support address
An accessory or apparel "not eligible for return, exchange, or refund" Check fit and compatibility before you add it

Three of those rows have a clock. The return clock is 14 days of possession, the damage clock is 14 days from receipt, and the warranty clock is one year from delivery.

Timeline of six dates on a Lectric order, in the order they arrive: order placed, tracking email, delivery day, day 14, one year from delivery and 30 days after that, with what closes on each

One policy covers the whole store. The refund policy names no model, so an XP4, an XP Lite2, an XPedition2 and an XP Trike2 go back on the same terms.

Can you return a Lectric bike?

Yes, if you have not ridden it, and only with Lectric's agreement. The refund policy asks for an item that is "unused and in the same condition as it was when you received it", in its original packaging, with "a good reason for the return (as determined by us)". Every one of those has to hold at once.

The time limit and the riding limit sit in one sentence of that policy: "The returned product will not be eligible for return if it has been in your possession for 14 days or, if it is an eBike, it has been ridden." The clock is your possession of the bike, so count from the day the box lands. Write to Lectric in the first days.

Read those conditions beside a sentence from the policy's first paragraph: "Our policy is that all sales are final." The same text then describes when a return can happen, and it keeps the decision with Lectric twice, in "as determined by us" and in "at our sole discretion". Treat a return as something you ask for.

Three more limits apply. The policy says "Accessories and apparel are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund." An exchange is for faults only: "We only replace items if we believe that they are or may be severely defective or extremely damaged." And a wrong click earns no exception, because "If you order an item by mistake, each cancellation, return, refund and exchange is subject to this policy."

No federal rule adds a return window to an online order. The Federal Trade Commission's Cooling-Off Rule is written for the door-to-door sale, which 16 CFR 429.0 defines as one where "the seller or his representative personally solicits the sale" and the buyer agrees "at a place other than the place of business of the seller".

The Commission's own guide says the rule "gives you three days to cancel certain sales made at your home, workplace, or dormitory", and it lists sales "made entirely online, by mail, or telephone" among those the rule does not cover. So under federal law the store's own policy governs a return, at Lectric and at every other online seller, ours included.

Bottom line Decide before the first ride, because one ride forfeits the return. An unridden Lectric in its original packaging can go back inside 14 days if Lectric agrees. From the first ride on, a fault is a warranty matter.

What a Lectric return costs

A return costs you money even when Lectric approves it. Four amounts can come off, and the refund policy fixes only one of them in dollars.

What comes off Lectric's words How much
Return shipping "You will be responsible for arranging and paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item." Your carrier's price for a boxed e-bike
Shipping, either way "Shipping costs are non-refundable." Whatever shipping was charged
Restocking fee "a restocking fee of up to $300 at our sole discretion" $0 to $300
Condition Lectric may "withhold up to the full value of the refund" for a product "in poor condition" Up to the whole refund

The fee is a ceiling, so ask for the figure before you ship and have it written into the authorization. On the $799 XP Lite2 the full $300 is 38% of the price, and on the $999 XP4 it is 30%. Each price below is the lowest Lectric listed for that model on October 4, 2026, as in our table of the six models.

Model Lowest price A $300 fee as a share
XP Lite2 $799 38%
XP4 $999 30%
XP4 750 $1,299 23%
XPress2 $1,399 21%
XPedition2 $1,399 21%
XP Trike2 $1,499 20%
XPeak2 $1,499 20%

Bar chart of a $300 restocking fee as a share of each Lectric model's lowest price: 38 percent of the $799 XP Lite2, 30 percent of the $999 XP4, 23 percent of the XP4 750, 21 percent of the XPress2 and the XPedition2, and 20 percent of the XP Trike2 and the XPeak2

Choosing the right version first costs less than a return: our Lectric XP4 review compares the XP4 and the XP4 750 by range and fit before you order.

A refund that is approved goes back the way you paid. The policy says "a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a reasonable number of days", and it gives no number of days.

What changed: the restocking fee was $150 until 2024

The $300 ceiling is recent, and the other conditions are old. In the Internet Archive's copies of the policy, the fee reads "$150" from the earliest copy, August 12, 2021, through July 6, 2024. The copy of August 5, 2024 reads "up to $300".

Archived copy The fee sentence
August 12, 2021 "a restocking fee of $150 at our sole discretion"
July 6, 2024 "a restocking fee of $150 at our sole discretion"
August 5, 2024 "a restocking fee of up to $300 at our sole discretion"
Today's text, revised June 4, 2026 "a restocking fee of up to $300 at our sole discretion"

The 14-day limit and the unridden rule are in all 31 archived copies we read. The June 4, 2026 revision added the return address, the words "(as determined by us)" and the warning that an unauthorized return "likely will be refused".

Bottom line Budget for the return shipping and a fee of up to $300 on any return, and get the fee in writing before the bike leaves your hands.

How to return a Lectric bike, step by step

Ask first, ship second. The refund policy says "Please do not send your purchase back to us until we have authorized the return in writing, as it likely will be refused." The seven steps below put its requirements in working order.

  1. Stop before the first ride. Keep the bike unridden and keep every piece of the original packaging.
  2. Contact Lectric inside the first days. Its help center says "please contact us first at (602) 715-0907 for authorization". Follow the call with an email to contact@lectricebikes.com so the request has a date.
  3. Have proof of purchase ready. The policy says "we require a receipt or other proof of purchase".
  4. Get the costs in writing. Ask what the restocking fee will be and whether Lectric will arrange the return shipping and deduct it.
  5. Wait for the written authorization. Nothing ships before it arrives.
  6. Ship prepaid to the address Lectric gives you. The policy names "1502 E Buckeye Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85034" and asks for "all charges pre-paid".
  7. Wait for the inspection. "Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund."

Photograph the bike and the packed box before the carrier takes it. The refund depends on the condition Lectric finds when the box arrives, and your photos are the record of what you sent.

Canceling a Lectric order

Cancel before the tracking email and you get everything back. The refund policy allows a full refund "up until the time you receive your shipment confirmation email with tracking information". Lectric's shipping policy says orders are "usually shipped by us within 2-10 business days", so the window can be short.

After that email the order is treated as shipped. The refund policy says "you are responsible for a return shipping fee", that "the original shipping fee we incurred to send the product(s) to you will not be refunded", and that this holds even where free shipping was advertised. From there, the return conditions above are your route.

A pre-order follows its own clause. Lectric's terms of service, last revised September 15, 2026, say "your card will be charged in the full amount of the total purchase price immediately" and that a pre-order "may be canceled for a full refund for such item(s) or such order at any time before the corresponding merchandise has shipped". If the wait stops suiting you, cancel while the order is still unshipped.

Check the delivery address before you pay. The shipping policy says "We do not ship to APO (Army Post Office), FPO (Fleet Post Office), DPO (Diplomatic Post Office), or PO (Post Office box) addresses", and where such a shipment is refused and you cancel, "a restocking fee of up to $300 may be charged".

If your Lectric arrives damaged

Report shipping damage in writing within 14 days of delivery. Lectric's shipping policy says claims "must be made in writing or electronically by the purchaser no later than 14 days after receipt of each damaged part or accessory", and it starts them at contact@lectricebikes.com. Its help center gives the same limit and adds "This applies to all products, including bikes and accessories."

Send pictures with the first message. The policy says you may be asked to "send photographic evidence and additional documentation (such as, but not limited to, video)", and to ship the part back "at Lectric's expense" for inspection. Once a claim is approved, Lectric "will ship the relevant repaired or replacement item(s) at Lectric's cost".

Plan to be home on delivery day. Lectric's help center says "Our shipments do not require a signature so it is important to plan and make accommodations for your delivery time", and the shipping policy adds "In no event are we responsible for products that are lost or stolen in transit."

Our advice is to open the box the day it lands, and to look before you ride. Check the frame, fork, wheels, display and battery while a damage claim and a return are both still open to you. A report made after day 14 forfeits the claim under the policy's own deadline.

Buying from us instead? Note the damage with the carrier, email us photos within 48 hours, and we file the carrier claim and arrange the replacement or repair.

How we handle a damaged box

The Lectric warranty: one year, parts by name

Every Lectric e-bike carries a one-year limited warranty that names its covered parts. The warranty text runs "for the one (1) year period commencing on the original delivery date of such eBike to the first Owner", and it covers bikes in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia.

The same warranty covers every model. Lectric's help center says "All Lectric eBikes come with a one-year warranty", and the warranty text names no model, so the XP4, the XP Lite2, the XPress2, the XPeak2, the XPedition2 and the XP Trike2 share it.

Your question What the warranty text says
Which parts? A named list that runs from "the frame, forks, stem, handlebars" to "motor, throttle, controller, battery" and the display
What is left out? Accessories, "Customary wear and tear", and wear parts such as "tires, wheels, spokes, tubes" and "brake rotors, brake pads"
Which damage is left out? Sixteen listed causes, among them "water or water vapor damage (including without limitation rust)", "theft" and "accidents"
What does Lectric do? It will "repair or replace such eBike or part(s) at no expense to you"
Does a repair restart the year? No. A repair or replacement "does not extend such period"
Is your time paid? No. "Compensation for time and efforts" is excluded, labor included

The battery is on the covered list by name, as "battery (including without limitation extended-life battery, if purchased)". Two of the listed exclusions are about charging: "power surges" and "overcharging or use of chargers other than that or those approved by Lectric". Charge only with a charger Lectric approves.

Disputes have a place and a deadline. The warranty applies Arizona law, sets "a bench trial in federal or state court in Phoenix, Arizona", waives class actions, and says an action "MUST BE BROUGHT NO LATER THAN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD". It also says "Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts", so your state may give you more.

How to make a Lectric warranty claim

Write to contact@lectricebikes.com while the year is still running. The warranty says claims "must be made in writing or electronically (a) by the then-current Owner and (b) within the Warranty Period", so a phone call alone does not start one. A claim that is not made inside the year is forfeited.

  1. Describe the fault and attach photos or video. The text allows Lectric to ask for "photographic evidence and additional documentation".
  2. Attach proof that the bike is yours. It may ask for "evidence of ownership or purchase".
  3. Wait for Lectric's label before you ship anything. A part goes back "at Lectric's expense", and a shipment "not authorized by Lectric in advance may be refused or ignored".
  4. Keep the acknowledgment. A claim counts as made once Lectric "expressly acknowledges the receipt" of your notice and materials.

Send only the part Lectric asks for. The warranty says "Do not send personal items", and that an item Lectric replaces "cannot be returned to you".

Is the Lectric warranty transferable?

Yes, since December 3, 2025. Today's text warrants the bike to "each owner (then-current and previous)", so a second owner inside the first year can claim. The copy the Internet Archive saved earlier that day said the opposite: "The warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original owner."

Term Before December 3, 2025 Today
Who is covered "THE ORIGINAL REGISTERED PURCHASER" "each owner (then-current and previous)"
Shipping on a claim "the responsibility of the claimant" "at Lectric's expense"
Deadline to sue "ninety (90) days" after the year "THIRTY (30) DAYS" after the year

If you are buying a used Lectric, ask the seller for the original order confirmation, because the year counts from the first delivery and Lectric can ask for proof. For a bike first delivered before December 3, 2025, ask Lectric in writing which text applies. Buying a used XP 3.0 in particular? Our Lectric XP 3.0 review adds the 2023 brake recall and the parts Lectric still sells for it.

Do you have to register a Lectric bike?

No. Lectric's help center says "You do not need to register your bike with Lectric eBikes in order to claim your one-year warranty." The same article recommends Bike Index, an outside registry it describes as "not affiliated with Lectric eBikes", for theft recovery.

Bottom line One year on named parts, the battery among them, for whoever owns the bike. Claim in writing inside the year, and wait for Lectric's label before you ship a part.

The Lectric extended warranty: price and what it leaves out

Lectric sells one or two extra years of cover through Extend, priced by the bike. Its product pages offer "extended coverage that kicks in once your included warranty expires". On October 4, 2026 the 16 pages we read showed ten price points, and the plan cost about 8% of the bike's price for one more year and about 12% for two.

Bike price Lectric models at that price 1 more year 2 more years
$799 XP Lite2 $59.99 $94.99
$899 XP Lite2 in JW Black $69.99 $109.00
$999 XP4; XP Lite2 Long-Range $74.99 $119.00
$1,099 XP Lite2 Long-Range in JW Black $84.99 $129.00
$1,299 XP4 750 $99.99 $159.00
$1,399 XPress2; XPedition2 $109.00 $169.00
$1,499 XPeak2 $119.00 $179.00
$1,699 XPeak2 Long-Range $129.00 $199.00
$1,799 XP Trike2 750; XPedition2 Dual-Battery $139.00 $209.00
$1,999 XPedition2 Long-Range Dual-Battery $159.00 $239.00

Bar chart of Lectric's extended plan prices at ten bike prices, from $59.99 for one more year and $94.99 for two on a $799 bike to $159.00 and $239.00 on a $1,999 bike

The 500 W XP Trike2, also $1,499, showed the same $179.00 for two more years. Lectric's help center adds two facts about the plan. One article says "This extended warranty excludes wearable parts and the battery", and a second article says "All warranty claims are submitted through Lectric eBikes."

The battery line matters most, because a battery is the part with a published replacement price. Lectric lists the XP4 spare battery at $350, the XP Lite spare at $300 and the XP4 750 long-range spare at $575.

So read Extend's contract at checkout before you add the plan, because that contract says what is covered. If the battery is your worry, the plan does not answer it, and the $119 for two more years on an XP4 is about a third of the $350 a spare battery costs.

Would you sooner have the seller run the claim? On a bike bought from us, if it will not power on, will not charge or shows an error code, the claim comes to us and we coordinate the repair or replacement for you.

The contact page lists a phone line, an email address, a message form and the Scottsdale store. Use email for anything with a deadline.

A return authorization, a damage claim and a warranty claim all have to be in writing under Lectric's own texts, and its help center describes "our US-based support team" behind both the address and the phone line. Have your order number, the bike's serial number and your photos ready before you write.

Where a Lectric gets serviced

Lectric's model is repair by the owner or a local shop, with parts it mails to you. Its help center says "most repairs may be completed remotely by the bike owner or a local bike shop", that "we can ship replacement parts directly to you and provide detailed installation instructions", and that "In extremely rare cases, we may ask you to ship your bike to us for repair at our facility."

Partner shops exist, and support comes first. The service network page asks you to "reach out our customer support team prior to contacting any partnered shops", and says those shops "are not authorized to receive product on the customer's behalf". Our profile counts the locations in Lectric's locator, and our store directory lists verified e-bike stores across the United States.

In Arizona you can drop an eligible bike at the Scottsdale store. The drop-off guidelines say "Service may take up to 5-7 business days for completion", ask you to collect the bike within 14 days of the notice, and add that "After 14 days, a $10/day storage fee may apply."

Lectric reviews and complaints on Trustpilot

Trustpilot showed 4.4 from 5,364 reviews on October 4, 2026: 72% five-star, 13% four-star, 6% three-star, 3% two-star and 6% one-star. Its profile adds two notes on how the company answers, "Replied to 100% of negative reviews" and "Typically replies within 24 hours". Read the one-star and two-star reviews for the kind of problem you fear most.

Bought at Best Buy or a bike shop

Best Buy's own return policy lists electric bikes as non-returnable. Lectric's locations page says "you can easily purchase Lectric eBikes at select Best Buy locations", in the store or on Best Buy's website. So read Best Buy's terms before you buy one there.

Best Buy's return policy, read on October 4, 2026, names "electric bikes" in its list of items that "are nonreturnable once purchased". Ask the store to show you that line before you pay.

At one of Lectric's 206 partner shops, ask for the shop's return terms in writing before you pay. The warranty is still Lectric's wherever you buy, because its text covers "each owner (then-current and previous)" and asks for "evidence of ownership or purchase". Keep the receipt.

Before you order: how to avoid a return

The cheapest return is the one you never need. Three checks before you pay do the work a return would.

  1. Ride one first. Lectric's locations page offers a locator to "Test Ride, Rent, or Buy a Lectric eBike with one of our trusted partners", and riding a shop's bike does not touch the unridden rule on the bike you later buy.
  2. Check the fit on paper. Lectric prints a rider height range, a weight and a payload for every model. Our profile sets the weights and payloads in one table and the rider heights in another.
  3. Check where it ships. Lectric's shipping policy covers the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia, and it excludes PO boxes.

If a Lectric is not the right bike, our shelf is one place to look. Our Lectric profile matches five of its six models with bikes and trikes we sell, and our shelf holds the same kinds of bike: folding e-bikes, electric trikes, cargo e-bikes and commuters.

Our guide to where to buy an e-bike compares buying online with buying in a shop.

Buying from us does not buy a wider return window, and you should know that before you order. Our refund policy takes a bike back only unopened in its factory-sealed box, when you ask within 72 hours of delivery, less a 15% restocking fee and the return shipping.

What we add comes before and after the sale. Every e-bike ships free within the contiguous United States, and we answer fit questions in writing before you pay. Shop Pay spreads an order of $1,000 or more over 3, 6 or 12 monthly payments at 15% APR.

After the sale, we file the carrier claim when a box arrives damaged and you send photos within 48 hours, and a warranty claim comes to us, so we coordinate the repair or replacement. How buying from us works walks through an order.

Free shipping to the lower 48, and an answer in writing before you pay. Tell support@redtailebikes.com your height, your inseam, your hills and what you carry. We reply with the bikes that fit and the reasons.

Frequently asked questions

What is Lectric's return policy?

Lectric's refund policy says "all sales are final", then allows a return of an unused item in its original packaging with a good reason, as Lectric determines, before you have had it 14 days. An e-bike that has been ridden is not eligible. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to $300 can apply.

Can I return my Lectric bike after riding it?

No. Lectric's refund policy says a product is not eligible for return "if it is an eBike, it has been ridden". After the first ride, a fault is handled under the one-year warranty, by repair or replacement of the part. If the bike simply does not suit you, selling it is the route left, and the warranty now passes to the buyer.

Can you return Lectric accessories?

No. Lectric's refund policy says "Accessories and apparel are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund." Check that an accessory fits your model before you add it to the order. An accessory that arrives damaged is a shipping-damage claim, which the shipping policy asks you to make in writing within 14 days of receiving it.

Does Lectric exchange bikes?

Only for a fault. Lectric's refund policy says "We only replace items if we believe that they are or may be severely defective or extremely damaged", and it sends those requests to contact@lectricebikes.com. A different color, frame or model is a return and a new order, on the return conditions.

Does Lectric offer store credit for returns?

Lectric's refund policy names one route for an approved refund: "a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a reasonable number of days". If you would take store credit in place of a refund, ask Lectric in writing when you request the return.

How long is the Lectric bike warranty?

One year. Lectric's warranty runs "for the one (1) year period commencing on the original delivery date of such eBike to the first Owner". A repair or a replacement part is covered for the rest of that year and does not extend it. You can add one or two more years at checkout through Extend.

Does the Lectric warranty transfer to a second owner?

Yes. Since December 3, 2025 the warranty covers "each owner (then-current and previous)", so you can claim on a used Lectric inside one year of its first delivery. Lectric may ask for "evidence of ownership or purchase", so get the original order confirmation from the seller.

Does the Lectric warranty cover the battery?

Yes. The covered-parts list in Lectric's warranty names the "battery (including without limitation extended-life battery, if purchased)". The exclusions include water damage, "power surges" and "overcharging or use of chargers other than that or those approved by Lectric". The extended plan sold at checkout is a separate contract, and Lectric's help center says it leaves the battery out.

What items are considered wear and tear?

Lectric's warranty excludes "Customary wear and tear" and lists wear parts by name: "the chain or belt, tires, wheels, spokes, tubes, battery handle, reflectors, brake rotors, brake pads, brake cables, brake housings, and grips". You replace those yourself as they wear.

Do I need to register my Lectric bike for the warranty?

No. Lectric's help center says "You do not need to register your bike with Lectric eBikes in order to claim your one-year warranty." Keep your order confirmation, because the warranty lets Lectric ask for proof of purchase or ownership when you claim.

How do I make a Lectric warranty claim?

Email contact@lectricebikes.com inside the warranty year with a description, photos or video, and proof of purchase. The warranty says claims "must be made in writing or electronically", and that a shipment Lectric has not authorized "may be refused or ignored". Wait for Lectric's shipping label before you send a part.

Is the Lectric extended warranty worth it?

It costs about 8% of the bike's price for one more year and about 12% for two, from $59.99 on a $799 XP Lite2 to $239.00 on a $1,999 XPedition2. Lectric's help center says the plan "excludes wearable parts and the battery". Read Extend's contract at checkout for what it does cover, and price a spare battery separately.

What is Lectric's customer service phone number?

It is 602-715-0907, answered Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific (noon to 7 p.m. Eastern) and closed on weekends, on Lectric's contact page. Its help center says the same number takes orders by phone during those hours.

How do I contact Lectric customer service by email?

Write to contact@lectricebikes.com, the address on Lectric's contact page. Email is the channel to use for a return authorization, a shipping-damage claim or a warranty claim, because Lectric's policies ask for each of those in writing. The contact page also carries a message form.

Is Lectric customer service good?

Trustpilot showed 4.4 from 5,364 reviews on October 4, 2026, with 72% five-star and 6% one-star, and its profile notes that Lectric "Replied to 100% of negative reviews" and "Typically replies within 24 hours". Read the low-star reviews for your model before you buy.

Where can I get a Lectric bike serviced?

Start with Lectric's support team. Its service page asks you to "reach out our customer support team prior to contacting any partnered shops", and its help center says most repairs are done by the owner or a local shop with parts Lectric mails. In Arizona, the Lectric Rides store in Scottsdale takes drop-offs.

Can I return a Lectric bike to Best Buy?

Best Buy's return policy, read on October 4, 2026, lists "electric bikes" among the items that "are nonreturnable once purchased". Ask the store to confirm before you pay. The one-year warranty is still Lectric's, and it asks for proof of purchase, so keep the Best Buy receipt.

The bottom line

Lectric's return policy rewards a buyer who decides before riding. You can cancel free until the tracking email, return an unridden bike inside 14 days at your own shipping cost and up to $300, and claim for shipping damage within 14 days. After the first ride, the one-year warranty is what you have, and it is a named-parts warranty that now follows the bike.

So do the deciding first: ride one at a partner shop, check the height and payload figures, and email your questions while a cancellation is still free. If you would like a second opinion on fit, or a bike of ours beside the Lectric you are weighing, write to support@redtailebikes.com with your height, inseam and ride.

Ten bikes and trikes we sell, set beside five of Lectric's six models. Each ships free to the lower 48, and we answer fit questions in writing before you pay.

Limitations

  1. Every Lectric term here is Lectric's published text, read on October 4, 2026. The refund policy and the shipping policy carry "Last Revised: 06/04/2026" and the terms of service "Last Revised: 09/15/2026". A policy can change without notice, so read the live text before you act on it.
  2. This page reports the documents and is not legal advice. Whether a clause applies to your order is between you and Lectric, and your state may give you rights the texts do not list.
  3. We sell e-bikes that compete with Lectric's. None is named on this page, and our own return terms are printed in it.
  4. The policy history comes from the Internet Archive. We read 31 of the 324 archived copies of the refund policy and 20 of the 254 of the warranty, choosing the copies on either side of each change. A change is dated to the gap between two copies. The warranty page's address has copies from November 3, 2024 only.
  5. Extended-plan prices were read on 16 product pages rendered for a US shopper on October 4, 2026. One page, the 500 W XP Trike2, showed its one-year price too small to read with certainty, and that figure is left out; its two-year price, $179.00, matches the XPeak2's at the same bike price. Extend's contract itself was not read, so what the plan covers beyond Lectric's two published statements is not stated here.
  6. Return shipping and original shipping are not priced in Lectric's texts. The cost table says so and gives no estimate.
  7. Best Buy's policy was read as rendered on October 4, 2026. It can change, and a store may apply it differently, so confirm at the counter.
  8. The Trustpilot figures are that platform's own, read in a browser on October 4, 2026. They rate the company as a whole and are not audited by us.
  9. Phone hours are converted from Pacific time as Lectric prints them.
  10. Our Shop Pay terms were read on ten of our own listings on October 4, 2026. All ten carry the same table of terms, and your own offer is the one shown at checkout.

This guide expires when any of these change: Lectric revises its refund policy, shipping policy, warranty or terms of service; Extend's prices on Lectric's pages change; Best Buy changes its list of non-returnable items; or Lectric changes its support hours or contact details.
