Hitway eBikes, checked model by model: the eleven we list, priced on our own store on October 14, 2026, their specifications read on Hitway's US store and in its own photographs, the warranty terms it prints, and the federal recall and warning listings searched for the brand.

How we verified this profile. Written by Milad Ghobadibeygvand, BScN (Western University, 2014).
We read Hitway's US store on October 14, 2026: its catalog, product pages, photographs, warranty, shipping and returns pages, and its B2B About page. We read the eleven listings on our own store the same day. Hitway is the sole publisher of its specifications, so we report them as the maker's figures and recompute watt-hours from its volts and amp-hours.
We searched the CPSC recall database and its warning listing with controls, so a zero can be read. Corrections go to support@redtailebikes.com.
The questions answered below come from 362 distinct search strings that name Hitway, Romarx or a model, from three search engines, the searches that reached our own pages and seven AI-search prompts. Twelve of those questions are answered below, the model-code searches are answered by the model blocks, and the rest name parts, bikes we do not list or other countries.
Redtail eBikes lists Hitway's e-bikes. Our own warranty and delivery terms are printed below, in our words.
Hitway eBikes: the eleven models
Every Hitway listing reads sold out today, on our store and on the maker's own. A model chosen by its name alone, or a battery matched by its model, is a guess, so this section sorts all eleven by what Hitway prints on each: motor, pack, weight and rider window. (maker's catalog)

Our price is the price on our store on October 14, 2026, which equals the price on Hitway's US store for every colorway. Maker's list is the maker's compare-at price on the same day, where it prints one. Feet and inches are converted from the centimeter figures and rounded to the inch; pounds are converted from kilograms and rounded to the pound. Five of the eleven fold: the BK5M, BK10M, BK11M, BK12M and Romarx BK5S.
The number that matters most A rider window is the maker's own figure, and it sorts these bikes first: five of the eleven print one, from 160 to 200 cm. The fit section below shows how to check the other six against your own inseam.

Find an e-bike for your heightWho is behind Hitway
Hitway is the brand of Dongguan HITWAY Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd. Its B2B site gives a Dongguan, Guangdong address and says the company has produced electric bicycles since 2020, and the US store describes the brand as integrating research, production, sales and service. We report both as the company's own description, and the name rests on the company's own pages. (B2B About page) (US About page)
The B2B page puts it this way: "Since 2020, Dongguan HITWAY Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd., under the HITWAY brand, has been producing cutting-edge electric bicycles. Our range includes over 20 high-performance models." The address printed on it is Building 2, No. 39, Tianxing Road, Huangjiang Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. (B2B contact page)
The US store's About page counts "5+ Years Of Experience", "20+ Products" and "500000+ Customers". Those are the company's own tallies, reported here as the company's claims. (US About page)
Hitway sells through separate storefronts: hitway.us for the United States, hitway.eu for Europe and hitway.uk for the United Kingdom. Each carries its own range. The US catalog lists 69 products, the EU catalog 223 and the UK catalog 197, as read on October 14, 2026. (US catalog) (EU catalog) (UK catalog)
On its US store Hitway lists eight products under the vendor name Romarx, among them the two bikes we list with that name. We report the two names as the maker lists them. (US catalog)
Batteries and chargers
Hitway's packs run from 36 V 12 Ah (432 Wh) on the BK5M to 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh) on six models. A replacement battery or charger has to match the voltage printed on your pack's label, and watt-hours are volts times amp-hours. Match the label, not the model name. (maker's catalog)
Six models carry 48 V 15 Ah (the BK9M, BK11M, BK12M, BK15M 3.0, BK15M 4.0 and BK29M), the BK10M carries 48 V 12 Ah, and the BK5M and BK27M carry 36 V packs of 12 Ah and 15 Ah. The maker states no pack for the two Romarx listings.
Hitway's US store lists a charger and a battery lock-and-key set among its accessories. Redtail lists Hitway's bikes and no Hitway parts, so a part is a question for the maker, and your pack's label is the reference to bring. (maker's catalog)
Which Hitway fits your height
Five of the eleven print a rider window: 170 to 200 cm on the BK15M 3.0, 168 to 195 cm on the BK9M, 170 to 190 cm on the BK27M and 160 to 190 cm on the BK10M and BK12M. Check your height against the window, then your inseam against the seat height. (BK10M specification panel)
- Measure your inseam in stocking feet against a book spine.
- Check your height against the window in the fit table above. The windows begin at 160 cm and end at 200 cm.
- Check the seat height. The BK27M panel prints 79 to 94 cm, and for any other model we give you the saddle range in writing before you order.
The BK12M text adds that the bike suits riders above 163 cm. The BK11M, BK15M 4.0, BK29M, BK5M and the two Romarx listings carry no window in the maker's record, so the finder or an email to support@redtailebikes.com with your height and inseam gets you a written fit answer before you order. (BK12M page)
The first fit check Your height against the maker's window, then your inseam against the seat height. For a model with no printed window, we answer in writing before you order.
A checklist before you order a Hitway
Four checks come before an order, and each takes a few minutes: your height against the window, the pack's label against your charger, the rated motor figure against your state's rule, and your own lift against the bike's printed weight. Work through them before you add any e-bike to a cart.
- Your height and inseam against the window. Five models print one, from 160 to 200 cm; for the other six, email support@redtailebikes.com first and we answer in writing. (fit section)
- The pack's label against your charger. Match volts and amp-hours: the line holds 36 V and 48 V packs from 432 to 720 Wh. (batteries section)
- The rated motor figure against your state's rule. Read the label or the manual, then your state's page on the electric bike laws hub. (the law section)
- Your lift and your storage against the weight. The five printed weights run from 24.9 kg (55 lb) to 31.5 kg (69 lb), and the BK10M's panel prints a folded size of 920 by 800 mm. (BK10M specification panel)
The law: what the statutes test, and where you ride
Settle this before you order: the federal definition tests a motor figure and a speed figure, and a listing's motor number does not say which side of either line a bike sits on.
The federal definition is 15 U.S.C. § 2085(b): a two- or three-wheeled vehicle "with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less than 750 watts (1 h.p.), whose maximum speed on a paved level surface, when powered solely by such a motor while ridden by an operator who weighs 170 pounds, is less than 20 mph." The boundary word is "less than", and Congress enacted the definition in 2002 as Public Law 107-319.
Hitway prints a motor figure of 750 W on six of the eleven and 500 W on two. A listing's figure does not say whether it is a nominal, a rated or a peak figure, and the statute does not say either. Read the rated figure on your bike's label or in its manual, and read how your state's rule treats it. (maker's catalog)
States set their own classes, speed limits and age rules, and cities and land managers add rules of their own. Our electric bike laws hub links a page for each state, each one checked against the statute's text. Open your state's page before you order, and check the trail or path you plan to ride separately.
Trails and federal land
Federal land uses another definition, with another boundary word. The Bureau of Land Management defines an electric bicycle as one "with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of not more than 750 watts (1 h.p.)" that meets one of three classes (43 CFR § 8340.0-5(j)).
The penalty clause covers "the regulations of subparts 8341 and 8343": "a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not longer than 12 months, or both" (43 CFR § 8340.0-7). Before you ride on public land, check the land manager's rule for that unit and the trail's own posting.
If an officer stops you about your e-bike: what to show
Carry three things on any e-bike: a photo of the label that prints the rated motor power and the assisted top speed, the owner's manual, and your order record. They show what the bike is, which is what the federal definition tests: the motor's wattage and the bike's maximum speed on a paved level surface under a 170-pound operator. (15 U.S.C. § 2085(b))
Your state's page on the electric bike laws hub gives the state's own test.
Motor power, speed and age rules differ by state. Read your state's page before you choose a model, and read the rule for the trail or path you ride.
Read the law for your stateHitway's record in the CPSC listings
We searched the CPSC recall database for Hitway and for Romarx on October 14, 2026, on the three fields a control proved usable: the recall title, the recall description and the product name. Each field returned records for a common word and none for a nonsense string, so a field's silence about a name can be read. Neither name appears on those three fields. (recall database)
We also read the CPSC's product safety warning listing, 375 rows, with a brand that carries two warnings as the control. The listing carries no entry for Hitway, for Romarx or for any of the thirteen model terms we searched. (warning listing)
Read this as a finding about the search, which covers the names and fields listed above. A notice can be written for a single model, a range of serial numbers or one pack. Before you ride, look up your model and serial number at cpsc.gov and subscribe to recall alerts for the bike you own.
Warranty, delivery and returns
On an order placed here, the warranty route runs through us. Our terms of service say: "We will help facilitate warranty claims with the manufacturer, but we do not provide the warranty ourselves." Before you order any Hitway, email support@redtailebikes.com the model and ask which terms apply to your bike, and we answer in writing.
Hitway's US store describes a one-year limited warranty on its e-bikes and e-scooters: "We offer a 1-year warranty on all electric bicycles and electric scooters." Which terms apply to a bike bought from us is the question to put to us in writing, as above. (Hitway's warranty page)

- The maker prints a weight and a rider window on five of the eleven and a load rating on five, so fit has a published answer for those models.
- Nine of the eleven carry a stated pack in volts and amp-hours, so watt-hours can be computed for each.
- Our price equals Hitway's US store price on all 15 colorways, read October 14, 2026.
- No Hitway recall or CPSC warning was found on October 14, 2026, with each search validated by a control.
- Free delivery inside the contiguous United States on every e-bike we list.
Red flags, each one about fit or use and each one with a route
| Red flag | What it means for you | Where to go next |
|---|---|---|
| Range: the maker gives spans, such as 20 to 55 miles on the BK10M and 35 to 75 miles on the BK11M | Your rider weight, mode and terrain move you inside the span, so plan a ride on the lower figure | The first e-bike guide and the fat-tire and commuter and city collections on our shelf |
| Height: no printed window starts below 160 cm | A rider under 160 cm has no printed Hitway window | The e-bike finder |
| Load: the printed rating is 120 kg (265 lb) on the models that print one | A rider and cargo above that total need a different rating | The buying guide |
| Weight: the BK9M is the heaviest printed weight at 31.5 kg (69 lb) | A lift up stairs or onto a rack takes real effort | The e-bike finder |
Frequently asked questions
Is Hitway a good e-bike brand?
Hitway says it has built e-bikes since 2020 and runs its own US store (B2B About page), and our October 14, 2026 search of the CPSC recall and warning listings found no entry for it (recall database).
The eleven listings on our store run from the $509.99 BK5M to the $1,799.99 Romarx X, and the tables above set each model's printed motor, pack, weight and rider window side by side. Whether a model suits you depends on that window, weight and pack against your ride. (maker's catalog)
Is Hitway legit?
Hitway is an operating brand. It runs live storefronts for the US, Europe and the UK, its B2B site names Dongguan HITWAY Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd. as the company, and the CPSC recall and warning listings carried no Hitway entry on October 14, 2026. The company's name and history are Hitway's own statements, and the Limitations section lists what they cover. (B2B About page)
Who makes Hitway e-bikes?
Hitway describes the company behind the brand as Dongguan HITWAY Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd., which says it has produced electric bicycles since 2020 and offers over 20 models. Its B2B site gives the address as Building 2, No. 39, Tianxing Road, Huangjiang Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. (B2B About page)
Where are Hitway e-bikes made?
Hitway's US store describes the brand as integrating research, production, sales and service, and its B2B site gives the company a Dongguan, Guangdong address, which is the company's statement of where it is based. The assembly site is not stated (see Limitations). Hitway's US store says it ships from warehouses in the United States. (US About page) (B2B contact page) (US shipping page)
What warranty does Hitway give?
Hitway's US store describes a one-year limited warranty on its e-bikes and e-scooters. On a Redtail order we help facilitate warranty claims with the maker and do not provide the warranty ourselves, as our terms say. Email the model to support@redtailebikes.com and we confirm in writing which terms apply. (Hitway's warranty page)
Has Hitway had an e-bike recall?
No Hitway recall or safety warning was on the federal record when we searched on October 14, 2026. A search checks the brand name on the recall database and the warning listing, and a zero is only as good as the control that proves the search works. Check your model and serial number on cpsc.gov before you ride. (recall database)
How much does a Hitway e-bike cost?
On our store on October 14, 2026, the eleven listings run from $509.99 for the BK5M to $1,799.99 for the Romarx X, and Hitway's US store prints the same prices. The maker's list prices run from $749.99 to $1,399.99 on nine of the models. All eleven were sold out that day. (maker's catalog)
Which Hitway e-bikes fold?
Five of the eleven fold: the BK5M, the Romarx BK5S, the BK10M, the BK11M and the BK12M. The BK5M rides 16-inch wheels, the BK10M and BK11M ride 20×4.0 fat tires, and the BK12M rides 26×3.0 tires. (maker's catalog)
What battery does a Hitway e-bike use?
Six models carry a 48 V 15 Ah pack (720 Wh), the BK10M a 48 V 12 Ah pack (576 Wh), the BK5M a 36 V 12 Ah pack (432 Wh) and the BK27M a 36 V 15 Ah pack (540 Wh). Match a replacement to the voltage and amp-hours on your pack's label. The batteries section lists each model. (maker's catalog)
Where can I buy a Hitway e-bike in the US?
Hitway sells through its own US store at hitway.us, and we list its eleven models above. On October 14, 2026, every variant of the eleven was sold out on both stores. The e-bikes on our shelf for the same kind of ride are in the same-ride section. (BK15M 3.0 page on Hitway's store)
What is Romarx?
Romarx is the vendor name Hitway's US store gives to eight products, including two of the bikes we list: the Romarx BK5S folder and the Romarx X commuter. Both are in the tables above. (maker's catalog)
What about the Hitway BK6M?
The BK6M is not on our shelf. Hitway's US store lists a BK6M page whose address and SKU codes begin with "ca": a 20×3.0 folder with a 750 W motor, a 48 V 14 Ah pack (672 Wh), a net weight of 27.6 kg and a recommended height of 163 to 190 cm. It was unavailable on October 14, 2026. (BK6M page on Hitway's store)
The bottom line
A Hitway suits you when its printed figures match your ride. Read the window and weight first. A rider from 170 to 200 cm sits inside the BK15M 3.0 window, a rider from 160 to 190 cm inside the BK10M and BK12M windows, and a commuter rider inside the BK27M's 170 to 190 cm.
Look at another maker's bike when the figures miss your ride. Hitway prints no window below 160 cm or above 200 cm, and a rider above the 120 kg load rating needs a different rating. With all eleven sold out today, the e-bike finder and our fat-tire and commuter collections lead to bikes on our shelf now. The brand hub lists every maker we sell.
Every e-bike on our shelf ships free to the lower 48 states, and support@redtailebikes.com answers fit and warranty questions in writing before you order. Start with your height and inseam in the finder.
Match an e-bike to your heightLimitations
Twelve limits apply to this profile. Each one is stated as a fact about the record on October 14, 2026, with the source that shows it, so a reader can see what the page does not cover.
- Prices and stock are our store's and the maker's, read on October 14, 2026. All eleven listings were sold out on both stores, and both move daily (our listings).
- Two of the maker's product pages did not load that day. The BK9M and BK15M 4.0 pages returned HTTP 404 from two networks while the maker's catalog record still listed both, so their figures come from that record and the maker's photographs. (maker's catalog)
- The maker's pages differ on some figures, and this page prints the figure with its source. The BK11M's 2023 blog post gives a 36 V pack where its product record and photograph give 48 V, and range text and photographs differ on the BK12M, BK15M 3.0, BK15M 4.0 and BK5M. (BK11M blog post)
- Weights, rider windows and load ratings come from the maker's specification panels, which are photographs. The records for the other six models carry no weight or window panel. The catalog's shipping weights are gross and are not printed here.
- The two Romarx listings carry no maker specification text. The maker's US store gives a title, a price and photographs; the description above is our listing's.
- The company name and history come from Hitway's own sites. We read no registry record, and the 2020 founding and the 5+ years, 20+ products and 500000+ customers tallies are the company's claims. (B2B About page)
- The assembly site is not established. The B2B address is the company's statement of where it is based. (B2B contact page)
- The relationship between the HITWAY and ROMARX vendor names is not described in the pages we read, so this page reports the names as the maker lists them.
- The two federal definitions use different boundary words. The CPSC text says "less than 750 watts" and the BLM text says "not more than 750 watts", and neither says whether the figure is nominal, rated or peak. (15 U.S.C. § 2085(b))
- No review-platform rating is printed. The review listing we found covers Hitway's EU storefront, not its US store.
- Certification is outside this page. It makes no statement about any safety certificate, so confirm one from the label on the bike or from the maker's documents for your model.
- Dated facts expire. The conditions that change this page are listed in the expiry conditions. Of the 38 cited documents, 23 have a confirmed Wayback capture, and the rest carry a written waiver in the citation ledger.
Expiry conditions
This profile stops being accurate when a listed condition changes. The conditions are price, stock, the maker's catalog and warranty terms, recalls, our own terms and the fit windows, and we re-read each one before the next republish.
This page is accurate as of October 14, 2026.
It stops being accurate when any of these change: a price on our store or on the maker's US store; the availability of any listing on either store; the maker's warranty page or catalog; a new Hitway model or colorway; a recall or warning on the CPSC listings; or a change to our own warranty, shipping, return or payment terms.
We re-read each of these before the next republish.
Source register
The grades below say how each source was read. Every fact on the page rests on a source graded T1 or T2, and T3 is used only for the questions buyers asked.
| Grade | Meaning | Used here for |
|---|---|---|
| T1 | A primary text: the statute, the regulation, the government listing, or the company's own published terms and specifications, read on the date shown | The federal and BLM texts; the CPSC listings; Hitway's catalog, product pages, photographs and warranty page; our store's terms, shipping and refund pages |
| T2 | A company's own description of itself, reported as that company's claim | The About pages' history, address and tallies |
| T3 | A search-suggestion string, read as a question people ask, never as a fact about the brand | The FAQ headings, each mapped in the demand ledger |
Sources consulted
- 72 Hitway US-store URLs requested: 50 read, 22 returned a 404 (policy handles the store does not have, product JSON endpoints and the two product pages noted in the Limitations)
- 69 products in the US catalog, 83 of 83 product photographs downloaded and read for their specification text
- The B2B site's About and Contact pages read, plus the footers of two more Hitway sites; the EU and UK catalogs read in full (223 and 197 products), their pages not used
- 11 listings on our store in 15 colorways, all 11 sold out, read from the Admin API on October 14, 2026
- 50 Search Console query rows naming Hitway and 1 naming Romarx, 798 search-suggestion rows from 3 engines, and 7 AI-engine prompts
- 2 CPSC databases, each the only publisher of its own listing, and 3 legal sections, each read in the Government Publishing Office edition and again in a second source (the eCFR for the two 43 CFR sections, the enacted Public Law 107-319 on Congress.gov for 15 U.S.C. § 2085)
No aggregator, news summary or search snippet is cited as a fact on this page. A question that a search suggestion raised is answered only from a T1 or T2 source, or it is marked in the Limitations.
