Samebike LO26 Plus Folding Fat Tire Electric Bike

A folding frame wearing grown-up wheels: the LO26 Plus rolls on 26-inch rubber that small folders can't match over potholes.
The Samebike LO26 Plus answers the folding e-bike's oldest complaint — small wheels — with full-size 26×3.0 rubber on a folding 6061 aluminum frame. A 1000W hub (1,500W peak), removable 48V 15Ah battery, hydraulic disc brakes and dual suspension, at 30.5 kg (67 lb) the lightest fat-tire bike Samebike sells. $999 in four colors, matched to Samebike's price, free lower-48 shipping.

Who the LO26 Plus is for
Buy it if
- Riders who want a folding frame but hate the twitchy feel of 20-inch wheels — 26×3.0 tires roll over potholes small wheels drop into
- The weight-conscious: at a published 67 lb this is the lightest fat-tire bike in Samebike's current US range, roughly 6 lb under the RS-A02 folders
- Taller riders in the folding category — 34.2–39.7 in of seat height on a 74 in frame is real 26er geometry
- 4+2 travel: quick fold, SUV trunk, ride at the destination — Samebike's own use case for it, and the right one
Look elsewhere if
- Your trunk is sedan-sized: with 26-inch wheels the folded package is larger than a 20-inch folder's — measure before assuming
- You want maximum torque for steep loaded climbs — Samebike publishes no torque figure for the LO26 Plus, and its hill numbers trail the RS-A02 Plus
- You ride sand and deep snow weekly: the 3.0 in tire floats less than the 4.0 in rubber on Samebike's other fat bikes
- You need a UL-certified battery system; Samebike publishes none for this model

The 26-inch answer to the folder problem
Folding bikes usually buy their fold with 20-inch wheels and inherit the ride that comes with them. The LO26 Plus keeps full 26×3.0 rubber — stability at speed, obstacle rollover, and a natural riding position — and puts the hinge in the frame instead of the wheel size.

Sixty-seven pounds, and it matters
30.5 kg is the lightest any current Samebike fat-tire bike weighs, and you feel it exactly where folders live and die: the trunk lift, the hallway carry, the rack mount. Aluminum frame, one battery, no dual-motor ambitions — a bike sized to be moved.

Hydraulic brakes, hydraulic shock
Front and rear hydraulic discs handle stopping; an adjustable fork and hydraulic rear shock handle broken surfaces. Shimano's 7-speed cluster with five assist levels covers everything from workout to full cruise, with a thumb throttle for pull-aways.

Rack, saddle and the long haul
The extended rear rack is lengthened and reinforced as standard, the seat tube carries its own shock, and the ergonomic saddle is built for hours rather than sprints. It's the folding bike configured like a daily bike.
The honest ledger
Green flags
- Hydraulic disc brakes at $999 — shared only with the M20 at this price in Samebike's range, and unusual across the folding category generally
- A hydraulic rear shock plus adjustable fork — "full suspension" with named hardware, not a sprung saddle doing all the work
- 6061 aluminum frame and the range's lowest fat-tire curb weight (67 lb) — the fold is actually liftable by one adult
- IP64 published for the whole bike including motor, battery and display — the highest whole-bike water-resistance rating Samebike currently prints
Red flags
- No torque figure is published anywhere on the LO26 Plus page — the only current Samebike without one; if climbing torque decides your purchase, this spec sheet can't answer you
- One marketing panel pairs "MAX Speed" with "1800W" — a layout error; the spec table says 40 km/h (25 mph) and a 1,500W peak, which is what we print
- The 110 km (68 mi) range headline is Samebike's lowest-assist figure; its own throttle-only claim is half that at 55 km (34 mi)
- No UL 2849 / UL 2271 certification published

How to read this spec sheet
Manufacturer spec pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Samebike's own page disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- Torque: searched the archived page — no N·m figure exists for the LO26 Plus. We print the absence rather than borrow a sibling's number.
- One marketing block reads "MAX Speed / 1800W" — a template artifact; the spec table's 40 km/h and 1,500W peak govern.
- Samebike publishes no folded dimensions for the LO26 Plus (unlike its 20-inch folders). If your storage space is tight, email us and we'll get the folded measurements from Samebike before you order.
What we counted
We pulled Samebike US's entire live catalog on 2026-08-23 and counted what was actually buyable: 29 of 32 bike variants across 10 models. The three unbuyable variants are all one model's colorways (M20: Black, LightSteelBlue, DarkGreen); every other bike was buyable in every published colorway on the pull date. This listing mirrors that feed — we only sell configurations Samebike can actually supply, and we re-sync price and availability against their store rather than guessing.
Redtail original analysis, counted from Samebike US's public storefront feed on 2026-08-23 (one shipping-surcharge SKU excluded). Availability moves; email support@redtailebikes.com for a combination not shown here.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose the LO26 Plus over a 20-inch folder?
Wheel size is ride quality. A 26-inch wheel carries speed better, bridges potholes a 20-inch wheel falls into, and puts your body in normal bicycle geometry. You pay for it in folded bulk — the package is bigger than an RS-A02's — so the LO26 Plus suits SUV trunks and garage corners more than sedan trunks and closets.
How much does it weigh, really?
Samebike publishes 30.5 kg — 67 lb — making it the lightest fat-tire bike in their current US lineup by about 6 lb. That's still twice a regular bicycle, so the honest framing is: one fit adult can lift it into a trunk; nobody enjoys carrying it up stairs.
What's the climbing ability if no torque is published?
Unknown from the spec sheet, and we won't invent a number — the LO26 Plus is the one current Samebike without a published N·m figure. What is published: a 1,500W peak motor and a 7-speed cluster with five assist levels. If your daily ride includes sustained steep grades, the RS-A02 Plus (100+ N·m, published, 20° climb rating) is the bike whose spec sheet actually answers the question.
Is it OK in the rain?
The LO26 Plus carries Samebike's best published water rating — IP64 across the whole bike including motor, battery and display, meaning dust-tight and splash-resistant electronics. Samebike still cautions against heavy rain; treat downpours and deep puddles as off-limits and normal wet commuting as fine.
What's the top speed and can I use bike lanes?
Samebike lists 40 km/h — about 25 mph — with a throttle. That's above the 20 mph throttle limit most states set for Class 2 e-bikes, so bike-lane legality depends on your state's rules and how the bike is configured. We publish state-by-state guides on the Redtail journal; check yours before making it your daily commuter.
How do warranty claims work through Redtail?
Samebike covers the frame 3 years and battery, motor and components 1 year (battery prorated after the first). We handle the process: photos or video plus your order number to support@redtailebikes.com and Redtail deals with Samebike for you. Inspect on delivery — damage claims have short windows on both our side (48 hours) and Samebike's (7 days).

How we verified this page. Every specification above was read from an archived copy of Samebike's own US product page (us.samebike.com/products/lo26-plus-powerful-peak-1500w-fat-tire-foldable-electric-bike), retrieved 2026-08-23 with the price cross-checked against two independent Samebike endpoints the same day. Figures are the manufacturer's ratings, not our test results; where Samebike's page disagrees with itself, the "How to read this spec sheet" section names each conflict and the figure we chose.
