Why the U-Trike U-750
The lock is the genius part
Tilting three-wheelers usually force the lean on you. The U-750's pivot locks: rigid and conventional at a stop, in a parking lot, or with a loaded rack — then unlocked, the frame leans through corners while all three wheels track the ground. Addmotor's phrase is 'locked for confidence, unlocked for flow', and the engineering delivers exactly that pair.
Why leaning matters
A rigid trike corners flat, pushing the rider outward — the sensation that makes fast corners feel wrong on three wheels. A tilting frame lets machine and rider bank together, the physics bicycles use, without surrendering the standing stability that brought you to trikes. Where Addmotor's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Price: $2,899 is Addmotor's live price; no machine-readable pre-sale price is published, so no compare-at is listed.
- Weight: Addmotor's technical table prints 167 lb — 77 lb over its folding U-710 sibling's printed 90 lb despite shared battery and motor. One of the two figures is likely a shipping-weight or data-entry artifact; we print both pages as published and will pass Addmotor's written answer along on request.
- The U-750's sizing image on Addmotor's page carries the alt text 'M-380 Tandem eTrike dimensions' — their copy-paste; the dimension VALUES above come from the U-750's own table rows.

Frequently asked questions
What does 'tilting' actually mean here?
The front section pivots so the frame can lean into corners — like a bicycle banks — while all three wheels stay on the ground. A lock lets you switch it off entirely, making the U-750 a conventional rigid trike whenever you prefer. Addmotor's own onboarding advice: ride locked first (stops, cargo, parking lots), unlock when you want the flow. Both modes are the product.
Is tilting hard to learn?
There's a real adjustment: unlocked, the U-750 asks for bicycle instincts on a machine that doesn't fall over — which briefly confuses both instincts. Most riders acclimate within a few sessions, and the lock means you never have to ride beyond your comfort. If you've never ridden a bicycle, stay locked as long as you like; the trike doesn't mind.
U-750 or the folding U-710?
Same dual-mode concept, different priorities. The U-750 (this page): 20×4.0 fat tires, published 1,400W peak, bigger racks, four colors, $2,899. The U-710: folds to a published 45.2 × 39.3 × 34.2 in, runs 3.0-inch tires, prints a 90 lb weight, $2,699. Transport-and-storage buyers take the 710; ride-first buyers take the 750. Why does the weight say 167 lb?
Because that's what Addmotor's table prints, and we publish pages as printed. We'll flag our skepticism equally openly: the folding U-710 with the same battery and motor prints 90 lb, and a 77 lb delta between siblings is hard to engineer. One figure is probably a shipping weight or typo. If the true number decides your purchase, email us and we'll get Addmotor's answer in writing first.
Does the tilt mechanism add maintenance?
It adds a pivot and a lock — moving parts the rigid siblings don't have, covered under Addmotor's 1-year components warranty rather than the 2-year frame coverage. Keep the pivot clean, treat the lock as a pre-ride check like a folder's latches, and report any play early with video — that's the honest ownership delta versus a rigid trike.
