Buy it if
- Riders who want the tilting experience and a trunk-sized machine — no other Addmotor (arguably no other trike, period) publishes both a lean mode and a 45-inch fold
- Smaller and mid-height riders: 5'1"–6'0" window, a 27.5-inch minimum saddle and an 11.8-inch standover — lower entry numbers than the U-750's

Every trick the range knows, in one frame
The U-710 combines the U-750's lockable tilt — rigid when you want stability, leaning when you want flow — with the fold the Citytri and M-330F offer, and does it at the lowest published weight in the lineup. If the trike category's constraints kept you out (storage, transport, cornering feel), this is the machine engineered at all three at once.
Ninety pounds, forty-five inches
Folded, the U-710 measures a published 45.2 × 39.3 × 34.2 in — SUV cargo and hallway-closet territory — and its 90 lb printed weight (battery in; pull the pack and it drops further) makes the lift a one-strong-adult or two-average-adults job. Trike ownership without a garage stops being a contradiction.
Lean mode, sized down, not dumbed down
The tilt mechanism, torque-sensed 750W/1,400W-peak hub, seven assist levels and triple 180mm discs come straight from the U-750. The 3.0-inch tires give up some cushion against its sibling's 4.0s — the honest cost of the lighter, narrower package — while the 80mm fork keeps the edge off.

A 27.5-inch minimum saddle, 11.8-inch standover and a bar adjustable 38.1–42.9 in put the U-710's entry numbers among the lowest in the range — friendlier than the U-750's by several inches at every touchpoint. Manufacturer spec pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Addmotor's own page disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- Price: $2,699 is Addmotor's live price; no machine-readable pre-sale price is published, so no compare-at is listed.
- UL: no UL 2271/2849 claim appears on the U-710's page or tables (the battery row reads '48V*20 Ah Samsung Battery'); the U-750's strip claims UL 2271. Printed as found, per page.
- Weight: 90 lb printed here vs 167 lb printed for the mechanically similar U-750 — a 77 lb spread we consider a likely data error on one page; both quoted, question flagged to Addmotor.
- This is the one trike in Addmotor's US collection Redtail didn't previously carry — added new on 2026-08-24 under the operator's match-their-catalog directive; the other 19 listings were rebuilt in place.

Shipping, returns & support
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch. Trikes ship large; an adult signature is required at delivery.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Trikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Addmotor has suspended e-bike and e-trike shipments to New York City (all five boroughs) under its current shipping policy, so we cannot deliver this model to NYC addresses right now — email us and we'll confirm status before you order. Frequently asked questions
U-710 or U-750?
Addmotor's own page carries this exact FAQ, and the honest split is: the U-710 folds, weighs a printed 90 lb, costs $200 less, and runs 3.0-inch tires with a smaller rack; the U-750 is the ride-first version — 4.0-inch fat tires, bigger racks, a UL 2271 claim, four colors. If the trike must travel or live indoors, the U-710; if it lives in a garage and rides daily, the U-750.
Which fold should I compare it against?
Addmotor's three folders split cleanly. The Citytri ($1,699) is the value fold with the biggest battery claims. The M-330F ($2,399) is the classic errand trike folded, torque sensor included. The U-710 ($2,699) is the only one that also tilts — you're paying the premium for the lean mechanism, and for the lightest printed weight of the three. If the tilt doesn't excite you, save the money.
Is 90 lb believable?
It's what Addmotor prints, including the battery — and we've flagged, on both pages, that its U-750 sibling prints 167 lb with near-identical hardware, a spread we can't engineer an explanation for. Our practical advice: plan your lifting around 90–110 lb reality, remove the battery before any lift, and if the exact figure matters, we'll get Addmotor's written confirmation before you order.
Two mechanisms — how much upkeep is that?
The honest ownership math: the fold adds latch checks (a ten-second pre-ride habit), the tilt adds a pivot and lock to keep clean and watch for play. Both fall under Addmotor's 1-year component coverage rather than the 2-year frame warranty. Neither is exotic — folding bikes and tilting scooters have normalized both — but a rigid trike owner does strictly less checking, and we'd rather you buy knowing it.
Why is there no UL claim on this one?
We searched its archived page and spec payload: the battery row says '48V 20Ah Samsung Battery' with no UL line, while the U-750's stat strip claims UL 2271 — plausibly the same pack, but 'plausibly' isn't a certification and we don't print inferences. If UL documentation is a requirement, email support@redtailebikes.com and we'll request it from Addmotor in writing before your order.
