Two motors, 4.8 kilowatt-hours, and a 500-pound load rating. This is a moped-shaped machine with pedals, and it is worth being honest about that.
The Romeo Ultra II is the largest thing Eahora sells: two 2,500W hub motors, a 4,800Wh (60V 80Ah) pouch-cell pack, a 500 lb load rating and a 174 lb curb weight. Eahora publishes an assisted top speed it writes as "28+ Mph(50mph)" — a delivered figure and an unlocked one — which puts it above every US e-bike class at the higher number, so read the speed-and-law section before you commit. Who the Romeo Ultra II is for
Buy it if
- Riders who want Eahora's biggest battery: 4,800Wh is roughly five times the pack in a typical 48V 20Ah commuter, and Eahora claims 104–235 miles with pedal assist
- Two-up and heavy-load riding — the 500 lb rated max load is the highest figure Eahora publishes for any model, against 330 lb on most of its range
- Anyone who wants dual-motor traction with a switch: the 4-inch color display carries a motors switch, so you can run one motor or both
- Riders who plan to keep a bike a long time — Eahora rates the pack at 1,200 charge cycles to 80% of capacity, which it publishes for this model rather than leaving blank
Look elsewhere if
- You need a bike that is unambiguously a bicycle in your state. Eahora prints a top speed of "28+ Mph(50mph)" here; the higher figure sits above the 28 mph ceiling the three-class statutes use, and Eahora claims no class on this model's page
- You have to carry it, lift it, or get it up steps — 174 lb with the battery in, and the pack alone is 40.5 lb
- You want a UL certificate on file before you buy. Eahora publishes none for this or any model (see the certification section below), and for a 4,800Wh pack that is a fair thing to want
- You need it to fit a smaller rider. Eahora's own range is 5'6"–6'4" with an inseam of 28.7 inches or more, and there is no seatpost to drop
Two 2,500-watt motors, switchable
Eahora specifies dual brushless hub motors at 2,500W each with a maximum of 125 N·m apiece, rated IPX6, and puts a motors switch on the display so you can run one or both. Two-wheel drive is what carries the 500 lb load rating; one-motor mode is what protects the range figure when you do not need it.
4,800 watt-hours, and the maths checks out
A 60V 80Ah pouch-cell pack rated at 1,200 charge cycles to 80% of capacity. Sixty volts times eighty amp-hours is 4,800 watt-hours — exactly what Eahora prints, which we verified rather than assumed. Eahora's own range claim is 104–235 miles with pedal assist, or 70–76 miles on throttle alone.
240mm rotors and two-piston calipers
Hydraulic disc brakes with motor cutoff, on 240mm × 3.0mm steel rotors with two-piston calipers and semi-metallic pads. Eahora calls the braking system 'upgraded' over the first Romeo Ultra. On a 174 lb bike carrying up to 500 lb, rotor size and pad compound are the specifications that matter most.
Air at both ends
An adjustable air fork with 100mm of travel and a damped air shock with 50mm at the rear — air rather than coil at both ends, which means you can set sag for your own weight instead of living with a spring rate chosen for someone else. Eahora calls the fork a golden dual-shoulder unit with rebound damping.
Four-inch color LCD, Bluetooth, USB
A 4-inch color display with the motors switch, Bluetooth and a USB charging port, plus cruise control and a 6 km/h walk mode. The headlight is a 2,500-lumen 25W LED with a horn built in; the tail light carries an integrated brake signal.
The honest ledger
Green flags
- The battery arithmetic is honest: 60V × 80Ah = 4,800Wh, exactly the figure Eahora prints. We recomputed every watt-hour claim across all 25 of its spec sheets and all 25 came out right, which is not something every brand at this price survives
- It publishes cycle life — ≥1,200 cycles to 80% capacity — and names the cell format (Grade A lithium-ion pouch). Most listings at any price stop at volts and amp-hours
- The braking hardware is specified down to the part: 240mm × 3.0mm steel rotors, two-piston calipers, semi-metallic pads, with motor cutoff. That is checkable detail, not a 'hydraulic disc brakes' shrug
- Named drivetrain parts throughout — Shimano RD-TY300 derailleur, MF-TZ500-7 14–28T freewheel, WELLGO pedals — so a shop can source replacements without guessing
Red flags
- The top-speed row reads "28+ Mph(50mph)". Eahora does not explain the parenthesis anywhere on the page. Read literally it describes a bike delivered at one speed and capable of a much higher one, and it is the single most important thing to resolve for your state before ordering — ask us and we will put it to Eahora in writing
- No certification of any kind is published for this model — no UL 2849, no UL 2271, no certificate, issuer or standard number. Eahora's FAQ says its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards' but names no standard and no document
- Eahora's warranty page sets 24 months on the frame in its coverage table, then closes with 'Claims deadline: 1 year from purchase date', and its own storefront header advertises '1 Year Warranty'. Plan around 12 months
- Charging is slow in absolute terms — Eahora quotes 8–12 hours on the included 67.2V 7A quick charger. That is what 4,800Wh costs you; there is no faster option published
- The geometry block is shared with the Romeo Ultra even though the two bikes differ by 14 lb and by 170 lb of rated load, and its 'Rim Diameter 24" or 57.5cm' row is internally inconsistent (57.5cm is 22.6", not 24"). Treat the geometry as indicative and send us your inseam if fit is tight
Speed and the law — read this before you buy
Eahora publishes this bike's assisted top speed as "28+ Mph(50mph)" for both pedal assist and throttle, and states no class on this model's page. That matters in the United States, because most states define e-bikes in three classes with a 28 mph ceiling — a machine assisting past that ceiling is generally regulated as something other than a bicycle, which can change where you may ride it, whether a license, registration, insurance or helmet is required, and whether it is allowed on a path or trail at all. Eahora's FAQ page states that its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3' as a general claim about the range; that claim is not repeated on this model's page and is not consistent with a 50 mph figure. We print Eahora's numbers, we do not assign this bike a class Eahora has not assigned it, and we would rather you check your own state's rule before you order than after.

Size and fit
Eahora publishes a geometry block for this bike. Two cautions before you use it: the same block appears on the Romeo Ultra page, even though the two bikes differ by roughly 14 lb and by 170 lb of rated load, and the rim-diameter row gives "24" or 57.5cm" when 57.5cm is 22.6 inches. Everything below is Eahora's figure as published; where fit is tight, email us your inseam and we will check it against the bike before you order.

How to read this spec sheet
Manufacturer pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Eahora's own material disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- Top speed is printed as "28+ Mph(50mph)". Eahora nowhere explains the parenthesis. We reproduce the row exactly as published rather than resolving it to one number, and we treat the higher figure as the one your state law will care about.
- The marketing band above the spec sheet is headed 'Dual 2500W High-Torque DC Motors' and the spec row says '2 x 2,500 Watt'. These agree — worth saying, because on several bikes in this catalog the band and the row do not.
- Battery: 60V × 80Ah = 4,800Wh, which is what Eahora prints. The arithmetic is ours; the figures are Eahora's.
- The geometry block is byte-identical to the Romeo Ultra's, despite a 13.7 lb weight difference and a 500 lb versus 330 lb load rating. Read it as the platform's geometry, not as a per-bike measurement.
- 'Rim Diameter 24" or 57.5cm' is internally inconsistent — 57.5 cm is 22.6 inches. The tire spec (26" × 4.0") is the figure to buy replacements against.
- Eahora's spec sheet writes 'Additinal Reflectors' and 'Racks & Baskset'; those are typographical, not substantive, and we have printed the intended words.
- Warranty: the coverage table on Eahora's warranty page is published only as an image, and it gives 24 months on the frame. The same page closes with 'Claims deadline: 1 year from purchase date'. Both statements are Eahora's; we print both and plan around the shorter one.

Nothing on this page claims a safety certification, because Eahora publishes none for this model. Here is exactly what the record contained on 2026-08-24, so you can weigh it yourself rather than take a marketing line on trust.

Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days of confirmation. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch. For freight, the carrier may call to schedule and a signature may be required.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Once an eligible return arrives we take up to 5 business days to inspect it; approved refunds issue within 14 days of completed inspection, and your bank may take a further 2–15 business days to post it.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.

Frequently asked questions
How fast does the Romeo Ultra II actually go?
Eahora's spec sheet says "28+ Mph(50mph)" for both pedal assist and throttle, and does not explain the bracket. The most natural reading is a bike delivered at a limited speed with a higher capability behind it. We are not going to guess on your behalf: if the exact delivered speed matters for your state — and it should — email support@redtailebikes.com before you order and we will get Eahora's answer in writing and send it to you.
Is this a Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike?
Eahora states no class on this model's page. Its general FAQ says its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3', but Class 3 in the three-class statutes tops out at 28 mph and this bike's own spec row prints a much higher figure. We therefore do not label it, because a class is a legal conclusion under your state's statute rather than a manufacturer's marketing choice. Check your state in Redtail's e-bike law guide, and ask us if the answer is not obvious — it often is not.
Is the battery UL certified?
Eahora publishes no certificate, no standard number and no issuing laboratory for this model or any other. We searched all 162 of its product pages and all eight of its policy pages on 2026-08-24; the only certification statement anywhere is one FAQ sentence saying its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards'. That is a claim without a document behind it, and we are not going to dress it up as a certification. If a certificate matters to you — with 4,800Wh it reasonably might — say so and we will request one from Eahora in writing before you order.
How long does it take to charge?
Eahora quotes 8–12 hours with the included 67.2V 7A quick charger. That is overnight charging, and it is simply what a 4,800Wh pack costs: at 60V and 7A the charger is delivering roughly 420 watts, so a full pack takes north of eleven hours of ideal-rate charging before tapering. There is no faster charger published for this model.
Can it really carry 500 pounds?
That is Eahora's published maximum load, and it is the highest figure in its catalog — most of its range is rated at 330 lb. The dual motors and the 174 lb steel-framed chassis are what stand behind it. As with any load rating it covers rider plus cargo together, and it assumes the tires are at the 28–33 psi Eahora specifies.
What is the difference between the Romeo Ultra II and the Romeo Ultra?
More of everything, for $1,000 more. The Ultra II runs two 2,500W motors against the Ultra's single 3,000W (3,800W peak) rear hub, an 80Ah pack against 70Ah (4,800Wh against 4,200Wh), a 500 lb load rating against 330 lb, and Eahora's higher speed bracket (50 versus 42 mph). It also weighs 13.7 lb more. Both share a frame, a display, a brake set and — literally — a geometry table.
What warranty applies, and who handles a claim?
Eahora's published terms: 24 months on the frame, 12 on the fork, motor and battery, 6 on the controller and 3 on the charger, display, tires, saddle and other parts. Its page also states a one-year claims deadline, which is the figure to plan around.
