TIGER JR Commuter Electric Bike
The cheapest way into Qiolor's retro line, and the only one with a 63 N·m motor. Black and Blue are the two colors in stock today.
The Qiolor TIGER JR is a Class 2 fat-tire commuter e-bike with a 48V 500W motor (750W peak), hydraulic disc brakes and a 20 MPH adjustable top speed, sold by Redtail at $1,399, price-matched to Qiolor. It is the lightest and least expensive of Qiolor's four Tiger models.

Who the TIGER JR is for
Buy it if
- Riders who want the lowest entry price into Qiolor's retro Tiger line. At $1,399 it is $200–$1,100 less than the other three models
- Commuters who value hydraulic (not mechanical) disc brakes at this price point, which Qiolor specs front and rear on the JR
- Riders 5'1"–5'9" — Qiolor's stated recommended-height range for this frame
Look elsewhere if
- You want gears. The JR is single-speed only, unlike the 7-speed TIGER PLUS
- You need the longer 35Ah battery option. Qiolor lists only a 13/15Ah pack for the JR, and only 15Ah is currently in stock
- You're outside the 5'1"–5'9" recommended height range Qiolor publishes for this frame
- You want independently verified range and speed numbers. The 70-mile and 40-mile figures here are Qiolor's own manufacturer ratings, and we label them that way rather than dress them up as test results
48V 500W hub motor, 750W peak
Qiolor rates the JR's rear hub motor at 500W continuous with a 750W peak and 63 N·m of torque, enough for flat-to-moderate commuting grades, paired with a 1:1 intelligent pedal-assist system.
Hydraulic disc, front and rear
180mm stainless steel rotors with hydraulic calipers on both wheels, a step up from the cable-actuated mechanical discs common at this price.
CHAOYANG 20" x 4.0" fat tires
Fat tires add stability on loose or uneven surfaces and a softer ride over potholes and cracked pavement, at the cost of slightly more rolling resistance than a road tire.
EXSHO front suspension fork
A front suspension fork takes the edge off curbs and rough pavement; there's no rear suspension on the JR.

- Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear as standard, where many commuter e-bikes at this price ship with mechanical (cable) brakes instead
- Class 2 spec (pedal assist + throttle, 20 MPH default) is the most common legally-recognized class on U.S. bike paths
- 400 lb max load rating is high for a single-motor commuter e-bike
- 5-hour charge time is on the faster end for a 48V pack this size
Red flags
- Qiolor states the top speed is user-adjustable. Raising it above 20 MPH can put the bike outside Class 2/3 limits, which determines where it's legal to ride, so check your state and local rules before adjusting it
- Single-speed drivetrain, so there is no lower gear to spin up a steep grade if you run out of pedal assist
- Only 2 of the 6 color/battery/rack combinations Qiolor lists are actually in stock as of 2026-08-15

Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the TIGER JR and TIGER RL?
The RL steps up to a 750W motor (1200W peak, vs the JR's 500W/750W), 85 N·m of torque, and a larger 624Wh battery, for $200 more. Both are single-speed, Class 2, and share the same hydraulic-brake and fat-tire setup.
Can I ride the TIGER JR on bike paths?
Qiolor specs it as a Class 2 e-bike (pedal assist plus throttle, 20 MPH default), which is the most commonly permitted class on U.S. bike paths. Access rules are still set state by state and sometimes city by city, so check your local law before riding it there. If you use Qiolor's adjustable top-speed feature to raise it past 20 MPH, it may no longer qualify as Class 2 where you ride.
Does the TIGER JR come in gray?
Qiolor lists gray as a color option, but it's out of stock as of 2026-08-15, so we don't offer it. Black and Blue are currently in stock.
Is this covered by the Qiolor warranty?
Yes. Qiolor's 2-year frame warranty and 1-year warranty on the battery, motor, controller and other named electrical components apply. See the Warranty section below for exactly what's covered and excluded.
