Samebike RS-A02 Pro Folding Fat Tire Electric Bike

The RS-A02 Pro in Black: a suspension fork, a red coil shock above the cranks and a rack over the rear wheel, on a frame that folds at the latch in its main tube.
4-inch fat tires on a frame that folds twice, with a fork, a coil rear shock and a 720 Wh battery that comes out with a key, for $999.
The Samebike RS-A02 Pro is a $999 folding e-bike on 20 × 4.0 fat tires, with a rear hub rated 1000 W (1500 W peak), a removable 720 Wh battery, a suspension fork and a coil rear shock. Our review's range model gives a 180 lb rider about 43 miles on level pavement at 15 mph on the throttle.

Why the RS-A02 Pro

Folds twice, down to 31.1 inches tall
The stem lays the handlebar down and a latch in the frame swings the front half back, for a folded size of 39.0 × 21.7 × 31.1 inches by Samebike's figures. Samebike's FAQ says the double fold lets it be "stored in the trunk of a car"; hold a tape measure to your trunk opening first.

Sprung front and rear, on 4-inch tires
Samebike pairs an adjustable fork with a spring rear shock that "effectively reduces bumps and vibrations across uneven surfaces", and points the 20 × 4.0 tires at "sand, mud and gravel, as well as rocky or uneven trails". Seven Shimano gears, five assist levels and a thumb throttle set how much of the work is yours.

720 Wh, charged on the bike or off it
Forty-eight volts at 15 Ah makes 720 watt-hours. Turn the key under the frame and the pack comes out to charge indoors, or plug the charger into the bike; either way, Samebike allows 6 to 8 hours from empty. At 15 mph with easy pedaling, our review computes 65 miles on level pavement for a 180 lb rider.

Black, White, Dark Green or Navy at $999
Samebike prints one specification table for all four colors, so the paint is the only thing to choose. The White one is shown here, and Black, Dark Green and Navy cost the same $999.
What stands out on the spec sheet
- A fork, a coil rear shock, a rear rack, lights at both ends and an electric horn, all standard at $999.
- Samebike's motor panel says it takes "steep hills (up to 20°)", and the manual prints a 20-degree maximum climb angle.
- IP54 for the whole bike and IP64 for the motor, battery and display, by the FAQ on Samebike's page.
- A 5 V 1 A USB port, plus a walk mode under 6 km/h for when you push the bike; Samebike's manual gives both.

Who the RS-A02 Pro fits
Samebike prints 6'1" to 7'9" as the recommended rider height for the RS-A02 Pro. Measured on its size-and-fit drawing, the seat post puts the saddle at the fit formula's height for 93 of every 100 riders at 5'6", 99 at 5'8" and 5'10", and 85 at 6'0".
It’s your bike if
- You want 4-inch fat tires on a bike that folds for a car trunk, a closet or a spare corner
- Your rides cross sand, gravel or broken pavement, the ground Samebike built the fork, coil shock and wide tires for
- You are about 5'6" to 6'0", where the drawn seat post reaches the standard saddle height for 85 to 99 of every 100 riders
- You want a removable 720 Wh battery, a thumb throttle and a rear rack, all at $999
Want something different? We stock it
- If you are under about 5'4", the CY20 Pro starts at 4'9" on one of Samebike's charts and at 150 cm (4'11") on its size drawing, and its drawn seat post reaches the standard saddle height for 99 of every 100 riders at 5'4"; it costs $599.
- If you want hydraulic brakes and a bigger battery on 4-inch tires, the RS-A02 Plus also folds on 20 × 4.0 tires, and adds hydraulic disc brakes, a 1200 W motor and a 48 V 17 Ah (816 Wh) battery, for $1,199.
- If you want hydraulic brakes at the same $999 and 3-inch tires suit your rides, the LO26 Plus folds on 26 × 3.0 tires with hydraulic disc brakes and a 720 Wh battery, and at 30.5 kg (67.2 lb) it is the lightest Samebike we sell.
Our RS-A02 Pro review works out, for heights from 5'0" to 6'4", where the saddle and grips land, whether both feet reach the ground and how much weight your hands carry, on Samebike's drawing of this frame.

Owning it in your state
Samebike's US page puts the RS-A02 Pro in no e-bike class, which leaves the question to the definition in your state. Definitions of that kind weigh the motor's watts, the top speed and a throttle that moves the bike with no pedaling.
Samebike rates the RS-A02 Pro at 1000 W with a 1500 W peak and fits it with a thumb throttle; it prints 40 km/h (24.9 mph) as the top speed on the specification table and 25 km/h on one gallery image. As of September 26, 2026, no CPSC recall names Samebike.
The rules for where you ride are in our state-by-state e-bike law guide.

Straight answers before you order
Samebike recommends the RS-A02 Pro for riders 6'1" to 7'9" on its size chart.
Measured on Samebike's own drawing, the seat post reaches the standard saddle height for 93 to 99 of every 100 riders from 5'6" to 5'10", and for 46 of 100 at 6'2". Under about 5'4", the CY20 Pro's windows start at 4'9" and 150 cm on Samebike's two charts for it. See the CY20 Pro. Find your height in the saddle table.
Folded, it measures 39.0 × 21.7 × 31.1 inches, Samebike's figure.
Check the car or the closet with a tape measure before you order, and include the height. Where length is the tight dimension, the CY20 Pro folds to 34.6 inches long, 19.3 wide and 33.5 tall. See the CY20 Pro's folded size.
Samebike's 110 km (68 miles) is its figure at pedal-assist level 1.
Plan with the manual's figures, 56 to 72 miles with pedal assist and 31 to 34 on pure electric, or with our review's range tables, which set a 180 lb rider's miles by speed, effort, hills, body weight and temperature. See the range tables.
Samebike's specification table lists mechanical disc brakes; its description says hydraulic.
For hydraulic discs on the same 20 × 4.0 tires, the RS-A02 Plus folds for $1,199; the LO26 Plus has them for $999 on 26 × 3.0 tires. See the RS-A02 Plus.
It weighs 33 kg (72.8 lb), and it arrives in a 38 kg (83 lb) box.
Have a second person there on delivery day. After that, turn the key and take the battery out before a lift, and wheel the bike wherever the ground allows; the LO26 Plus, at 30.5 kg (67.2 lb), is the lightest Samebike we sell. See the LO26 Plus.
Manuals and assembly
Samebike's RS-A02 Pro manual lists four assembly jobs before the first ride: adjust the handlebar and stem, fit the headlight and the front fender, set the front wheel in the fork with its quick-release clamp once the disc brake gasket is out, and thread in the pedals, the right one clockwise and the left counterclockwise. Allen wrenches and the charger come in the box, and if a drawing in the manual leaves you unsure, send us the step number and we will talk you through it in writing.
Warranty cover, and who files the claim
A fault is our job
If the bike will not power on, will not charge, shows an error code or has a faulty component, send photos or video and your order number. We open the claim with Samebike and coordinate the repair or replacement remotely, start to finish.
What Samebike publishes
Samebike’s warranty policy states: “Frame warranty for 3 years, batteries, motors and other accessories warranty for 1 year.” After the first year, a battery earns “a prorated credit, based on months of service,” toward a new one.
Samebike’s terms, from its Samebike Warranty Policy (us.samebike.com/pages/warranty-policy), read September 26, 2026.
Wear items
Samebike’s policy lists brake pads, rotors, spokes, tires and tubes, chains, chain rings, cassettes and the crankset among the parts not typically covered, as ordinary wear and tear.
Frequently asked questions
How far can the Samebike RS-A02 Pro go on one charge?
Samebike's manual gives 56 to 72 miles with pedal assist and 31 to 34 on pure electric, and its product page up to 110 km (68 miles) at pedal-assist level 1. For a 180 lb rider on level pavement, the range model in our review gives about 43 miles holding 15 mph on the throttle, and 65 with easy pedaling at that speed.
What is the top speed of the Samebike RS-A02 Pro?
Samebike's specification table and stat strip give 40 km/h (24.9 mph), and one image in its gallery prints 25 km/h. Write to us before you order and we will get Samebike's answer in writing for the unit you would receive.
Is the RS-A02 Pro street legal, and what class is it?
Samebike gives it no class, so the definition in your state decides. The figures a definition weighs are the 1000 W rating, the 1500 W peak, the thumb throttle, and the 40 km/h (24.9 mph) top speed printed on Samebike's specification table.
How much does the Samebike RS-A02 Pro weigh?
Samebike's specification table lists 33 kg (72.8 lb), the manual 72 lb and the size chart 72.7 lb. It carries up to 150 kg (330 lb), and it arrives in a box that weighs 38 kg (83 lb).

How long does the RS-A02 Pro battery take to charge?
6 to 8 hours from empty, on Samebike's specification table, its battery image and the manual. The pack charges on the bike, or out of it once the key under the frame is turned.
Can you replace the RS-A02 Pro's battery?
Yes. The pack comes out of the frame once its key is turned, and Samebike's warranty policy covers batteries for 1 year, then gives a prorated credit toward a new one. Email us your order number and we will confirm the right pack before you buy it.
How do you fold the Samebike RS-A02 Pro?
Fold the handlebar in the direction of the arrow, open the buckles one at a time, bend the bike to both sides and finish the fold: the four steps in Samebike's manual. Folded, it measures 39.0 × 21.7 × 31.1 inches (990 × 550 × 790 mm).
What rider height fits the RS-A02 Pro?
Samebike's size chart says 6'1" to 7'9", and its FAQ calls the bike "suitable for people of all heights". Measured on Samebike's drawing, the seat post reaches the standard saddle height for 99 of every 100 riders at 5'8", 85 at 6'0" and 46 at 6'2".
What's the difference between the RS-A02 Pro and the RS-A02 Plus?
The RS-A02 Pro is the $999 one: 1000 W rated with a 1500 W peak, a 48 V 15 Ah battery, mechanical discs on its specification table and 40 km/h.
