Tesway X9 Ultra 60V Dual-Motor Electric Mountain Bike, 4000W Peak

Tesway X9 Ultra, the 60V dual-motor mountain bike in the range.
Sixty volts, 240 newton-metres and 26-inch wheels — the quickest and the most capable thing Tesway builds.
The X9 Ultra is Tesway's 60V flagship: dual motors to 4000W peak, 240 N·m, 26×4.0 tires and a published 43 mph. $1,859 in the Orange 60V 25Ah build against a $2,599 list, free US shipping, US support, and Tesway's value pack and rack-and-fender gift included.

Why the X9 Ultra

The only 60V bike Tesway makes
Higher voltage means the same power at lower current, which is easier on the controller and the wiring. Tesway rates the pair of motors at 2400W continuous and 4000W peak, with 240 N·m of torque — the highest figure anywhere in its range.

Bigger wheels for rougher ground
26×4.0 inch casings against the 20-inch fat tires on the rest of the range. A larger wheel meets an obstacle at a shallower angle, which is why this is the bike Tesway aims at trails and snow rather than at streets.

Distance or drive, your choice on the bar
Tesway publishes 70 to 120 miles on a single motor and 50 to 70 with both driven. That is the practical shape of a dual-motor bike: you decide, per ride, whether you want the traction or the distance.

The lightest dual-motor bike in the range
Thirteen pounds under the X5 and X7 AWD, because the 60V pack stores less energy than their 60Ah one. On a mountain bike that trade is usually the right way round.

180 mm rotors, four pistons
Four-piston hydraulic calipers on 180×2.3 mm rotors. Tesway fits the larger 203 mm discs to its 20-inch bikes and these to the X9 — the figures above are what it publishes for each.
What stands out on the spec sheet
- 60V architecture — the only one in Tesway's range
- 240 N·m, the highest torque figure Tesway publishes
- 26×4.0 in tires, larger than the 20-inch bikes
- 106 lb — the lightest of the dual-motor bikes
- Shimano 7-speed, four-piston hydraulic brakes

Who the X9 Ultra fits
It’s your bike if
- You want the fastest, highest-torque bike Tesway makes
- Your riding is trails and climbs, not errands
- Twenty-six-inch wheels suit you better than twenty for rolling over things
- You want a 60V system rather than 52V
Riding a different ride? We stock it
- Range matters more to you than speed — the X7 AWD carries 3,120 Wh against this bike's 1,500.
- You want a low frame to step through — the X5 AWD is the step-thru on the big-battery platform.
- You mostly ride roads and want the lightest of the long-range bikes — the X7 PRO is 110 lb with the 60Ah pack.
Straight answers before you order
The 60V 30Ah builds — Black, Blue and Camouflage — were sold out on 2026-09-11. The Orange 60V 25Ah is the build on sale.
That is the one this page prices and the one the cart button adds: $1,859, 1,500 Wh, same motors, same brakes, same wheels. If it is stored energy you are after rather than the colour, the X7 AWD carries more than twice as much for $60 less. See the X7 AWD.
1,500 watt-hours is less than half what the 52V 60Ah bikes carry.
It buys 60 volts, 240 N·m and 26-inch wheels, and it is why this bike is 13 pounds lighter than the X5 and X7 AWD. On single-motor mode Tesway still publishes 70 to 120 miles, which covers a long trail day; the second motor is there for when the climb matters more than the distance.
Tesway publishes 43 mph, the fastest figure in its range and well past the 20 mph federal low-speed electric bicycle line.
This is the trail and private-land machine in the line-up, and it is equipped like one — four-piston brakes, full suspension, 26-inch fat casings. Where a machine this quick may be ridden is a state question, and the guide linked below sets out yours.

Free shipping covers the contiguous United States (lower 48); Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are quoted separately. Full terms: Redtail Shipping Policy · Redtail Refund & Return Policy. Tesway publishes its own shipping and return terms, which apply to orders placed directly with Tesway, not to orders placed here.
Owning it in your state
A mountain and private-land machine, and the fastest thing in Tesway's range: 43 mph published, more than double the 20 mph the federal low-speed electric bicycle definition is written around (15 U.S.C. § 2085(b) — working pedals, a motor "of less than 750 watts", under 20 mph on motor power alone). Trails, fire roads and land you have permission to be on are where it makes sense. What your state allows on a public road or path is a separate question, and our guide answers it. The details for your state are in our state-by-state e-bike law guide.
How the X9 Ultra compares
The X9 is the quick one. The 52V bikes carry roughly twice its stored energy and give up speed, torque and wheel size for it.

Specifications as published by Tesway at tesway-us.myshopify.com/products/tesway-x9-ultra, archived 2026-09-11. Figures are the manufacturer's ratings, not our test results. Metric-to-US conversions are ours and marked in parentheses.
Our arithmetic, shown
Two kinds of number appear above: the ones Tesway publishes, and the ones we work out from them. Every figure in the second group is listed here with the published inputs it came from, so you can check it rather than take it:
- 1,500 Wh — 60 x 25 (from Tesway's published 60V nominal and the 25Ah capacity of the build on sale)
- 1,800 Wh — 60 x 30 (from Tesway's published 60V nominal and the 30Ah capacity of the sold-out builds)
How to read this spec sheet
Where Tesway's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Tesway's specification table for this bike carries a single battery row, "60V 30AH", while the listing sells both a 25Ah and a 30Ah build and the highlight strip reads "60V 25AH-30AH". On 2026-09-11 the 30Ah builds were sold out in every colour and the Orange 60V 25Ah was the only one that could be bought, so the table above gives both capacities and their energy rather than one figure that would not describe what arrives.
- The table is headed "X9 AWD Specifications" and the highlight strip "X9 AWD - Highlights", while the product is sold as the X9 Ultra. Those are Tesway's own labels for the same bike.
- Tesway describes the 30Ah pack as using Samsung cells. It publishes no cell manufacturer for the 25Ah build, so no cell claim is made above for the build on sale.
- Range is published as two bands because the bike has two drive modes, and both bands are carried above rather than collapsed into one number.
- Maximum load, 400 lb, comes from Tesway's highlight strip; the specification table carries no payload row for this model.
What we counted
We pulled Tesway's entire US catalogue on 2026-09-11 and counted it against the store's own product sitemap: 73 live listings, 5 of them complete bikes and 57 of them accessories and spare parts — the two lists agreeing exactly, neither holding a listing the other missed. We stock every bike and every part on it, priced and stocked to match the same day.
Redtail original analysis, counted from Tesway US's public storefront feed and sitemap on 2026-09-11; $0.00 promotional bundles and non-product SKUs (a freight surcharge, two payment top-ups) excluded and listed in our research notes.
Warranty cover — and who chases it (not you)
A fault is our job
Power, charging and component faults are covered under the manufacturer warranty, and Redtail coordinates the repair or replacement remotely at no cost to you. Send photos and your order number and we open the claim and see it through — one US address, US hours, in writing.
What Tesway publishes
Tesway states that its e-bikes and their covered components are All Tesway e-bikes, and their individual covered components (as defined herein), are protected against all manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for two (2) year after receipt of the ebike by the customer. Its covered-component list runs to the battery, frame, forks, stem, bar, headset, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, hubs, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, display, kickstand, reflectors and hardware.
Tesway's terms, published on its own warranty policy page and read 2026-09-11.
Consumables
Tires, tubes, brake pads, cables, grips, chain and spokes are wear items rather than warranty items — which is the normal line across the industry, and why we stock every one of them for these bikes.
Shipping damage is time-sensitive on any freight delivery: check the bike at the kerb, note anything visible on the carrier's paperwork before you sign, and tell us within 48 hours with photos. That single step is what keeps a damage claim straightforward, and we file it for you from there.
Manuals, assembly and what's in the box
It arrives mostly assembled, the way a bike this size has to ship: the handlebar, front wheel, pedals and fenders are the jobs left, and the toolkit for them is in the box. Tesway publishes an owner's manual and an installation video for this range — ask us and we will send you the current file for your model rather than have you hunt for it, and we will tell you exactly what is left to do before you order if that decides it.
Frequently asked questions
How fast is the Tesway X9 Ultra?
Tesway publishes 43 mph — the fastest figure in its range — from dual motors rated 60V 2400W and peaking at 4000W, with 240 N·m of torque. That is more than double the 20 mph the federal low-speed electric bicycle definition is written around, so it belongs on trails, fire roads and land you have permission to ride.
How fast does a 60V e-bike go?
It depends on the motor and the controller, not the voltage by itself. Tesway's 60V system here is rated 2400W continuous, 4000W peak, and it publishes 43 mph. The same maker's 52V bikes publish 32 and 38 mph — the higher voltage delivers the same power at lower current, which is easier on the wiring and the controller.
Is 60V better than 48V on an e-bike?
Higher voltage moves the same power at lower current, so less heat in the controller and cables and more headroom under load. It is not automatically more range: range comes from watt-hours. This 60V bike stores 1,500 Wh in the build on sale; Tesway's 52V bikes store 3,120. Voltage buys performance, capacity buys distance.
What is the Tesway X9 Ultra's range?
Tesway publishes two bands because the bike has two drive modes: 70 to 120 miles on a single motor, 50 to 70 with both driven. Those are claims for ideal conditions. The buildable pack today is 60V 25Ah, which is 1,500 watt-hours by Tesway's own published figures.
Tesway X5 vs X9 — which should I buy?
The X5 AWD is the distance bike: step-through, 3,120 Wh, 38 mph, 20-inch wheels. The X9 Ultra is the trail bike: 60 volts, 240 N·m, 26-inch wheels, 43 mph and 1,500 Wh. If your rides are long and mostly on made surfaces, take the X5. If they are steep, loose and technical, take the X9.
Does the Tesway X9 need assembly?
It arrives mostly built, as e-bikes of this size do — handlebar, front wheel, pedals and fenders are the usual jobs, with the toolkit in the box. Ask us before you order if you want to know exactly what is left to do and we will tell you.
