Why the Landtan
Ninety pounds changes the ownership math
Most trikes are furniture: you park them where they'll live. At 90 lb — 20 under the Grandtan, 36 under the Grandtan X — the Landtan is the delta trike one determined adult can still reposition, ramp into a pickup, or walk up a single step. For garage-tight households, the missing pounds are the feature.

Where Addmotor's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Price: $1,899 is Addmotor's live price; no machine-readable pre-sale price is published, so no compare-at is listed.
- UL: no UL 2271/2849 claim appears on the Landtan's page or tables (its battery row reads '48V*15 Ah Battery', unbranded) — in contrast to the 20Ah siblings; printed as found.
- The 15Ah pack sits in Addmotor's published 18-month battery-warranty tier, not the 20Ah packs' 2-year tier.
- 'Decade's Best Selling Trike Model' is Addmotor's own marketing claim about the Landtan lineage, quoted as theirs and not verified by us.

Frequently asked questions
Landtan or Citytri — they're $200 apart?
Different answers to different questions. The Citytri ($1,699) folds, carries the bigger UL-claimed 20Ah battery and a 90-mile claim — but on 18/20-inch wheels with a cadence sensor and 86 lb of weight. The Landtan ($1,899) is the rigid, full-wheel (20×4.0), dual-crown-fork machine with turn signals, a 65-mile claim and no UL line. Storage-constrained and range-first: Citytri. Ride-quality-first on real streets: Landtan.
Who is the Landtan actually sized for?
Addmotor's table says 5'1"–5'9", and the geometry backs it: a 29.1-inch saddle floor, 15.6-inch standover, and a bar that adjusts down to 40.4 inches. In the range's fit map it's the conventional-trike answer for the riders the Spytan serves with its tadpole layout — same audience, traditional format.
How much do the turn signals matter?
More than they sound: a trike is a wide, slow vehicle that makes lane-position moves — exactly the situations hand signals serve worst, since trike steering wants both hands. Cockpit-controlled signals on the stock taillight, powered by the main battery, are equipment we'd pay extra for; here they're standard, and published in the table rather than buried in marketing.
Is 65 miles of range honest?
It's Addmotor's PAS-1 estimate, and their own warranty page labels all range figures estimates — a policy we quote on every listing. The practical read: the 720Wh pack at mixed assist delivers 25–35 real miles, which covers a week of neighborhood errands. If your loops run longer, the 20Ah siblings are the correct answer and we'll say so.
Why no UL claim on this one?
We can only report the pages: the Landtan's battery row is unbranded and carries no UL line, while the 20Ah siblings claim UL 2271 (and some 2849). We checked its archived page and marketing payload before writing that. If certification is a requirement, choose a sibling that claims it — or ask us to put the question to Addmotor in writing before you order.
