Why the Citytri E-310
The storage problem, solved outright
Rigid trikes fail apartment dwellers and RV travelers at the same doorway. The Citytri folds to a published 45.3 × 33.9 × 28.7 in (Standard; the Plus folds slightly larger and both figures are in the table below), which is sedan-trunk and hallway territory. Addmotor publishes both folded sizes — measure before you buy, no faith required.
Two sizes that take short riders seriously
The Standard fits 5'1"–5'9" with a 13.8 in standover and a saddle that drops to 29.5 in — genuinely accessible numbers for riders under 5'4", who are usually an afterthought. The Plus shifts the same trike to 5'3"–6'1" on larger wheels. Same $1,699 here for either frame — Addmotor itself charges $100 more for the Plus — and the dimension table below carries every figure for both.
A differential where folders cut corners
Most folding trikes drive one rear wheel and let the other freewheel — cheap, and it pulls to one side under power. The Citytri keeps a true rear differential, so both wheels drive and corners stay neutral. Addmotor also fits a parking brake, the small spec you appreciate every time you load groceries on a slope.
750W, 960Wh, seven levels
The 750W rear hub runs seven assist levels through Addmotor's 25A controller and 5-inch LCD, with a half-twist throttle for starts. The 48V 20Ah pack claims up to 90 miles at PAS 1 — Addmotor's estimate, honestly labeled as one — which at errand scale means charging weekly, not daily.

The stat strip credits a 'Samsung Battery' while the spec table says only '48V/20Ah UL-certified Battery'.

How to read this spec sheet
Where Addmotor's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Price: $1,699 for either frame here. Addmotor's own price is $1,699 on the Standard and $1,799 on the Plus (list $1,999 and $2,099), read September 19, 2026.
- Battery cells: the stat strip says 'Samsung Battery'; the technical table says only 'UL-certified Battery'. Both are Addmotor's words and both are quoted — we don't promote a strip credit into a table fact.
- Addmotor also operates a metric-market Citytri page (same SKU, 500W, 32 km/h spec) for other jurisdictions; this listing follows the US page's 750W, 20 mph spec exclusively.
- Sensor: cadence, per the table — the honest trade at this price; the torque sensors live in the Grandtan family.
- Fork travel: 80 mm, from Addmotor's technical post (UL 2849 comparison, read September 19, 2026); Dirt Wheels measured the same.

Frequently asked questions
Citytri or Citytan — the names are almost the same?
Different machines at different money. The Citytri E-310 ($1,699) carries the bigger 48V 20Ah UL-certified battery, a 90-mile PAS-1 claim, published UL 2849 system certification and a 280+80 lb payload. The Citytan M-315 ($1,199) runs a 13.5Ah battery, a 50-mile claim and a choice of 500W or 750W motor. Both fold, both have differentials and parking brakes. The $500 buys battery, range and certification.
Will it actually fit in my car?
Measure your trunk against Addmotor's published folds: 45.3 in long × 33.9 wide × 28.7 tall for the Standard, 49 × 34.5 × 37.3 for the Plus. Most sedan trunks take the Standard with rear seats down; SUVs take either. The honest part is the lift: 86 lb is the lightest trike in the range and still a two-hand, bend-your-knees event — load it wheels-first on the bumper lip.
Standard or Plus size?
By height, from Addmotor's own tables: 5'1"–5'9" rides the Standard (18/20 in wheels, 29.5 in minimum saddle); 5'3"–6'1" rides the Plus (20/22 in wheels). If you're in the 5'3"–5'9" overlap, pick by priority — the Standard for the lowest step-over and smallest fold, the Plus for more legroom and slightly larger wheels over bumps.
What does the cadence sensor mean day to day?
Assist switches on when the pedals turn and delivers the level you've chosen — simple and predictable, but it doesn't scale with how hard you push the way the Grandtan's torque sensor does. In practice: choose your level with the buttons rather than your legs. Seven levels give plenty of resolution, and the throttle covers standing starts.
Is the battery certified, and by what?
Addmotor's Citytri page claims UL 2271 (battery pack) and UL 2849 (whole electrical system) — both named on the stat strip. The strip also credits Samsung cells, though the spec table stops at 'UL-certified battery'; we quote both of their statements exactly.
