The Citypro E-43 in Rose Gold — Addmotor's step-thru commuter, photographed by the maker.
A 21.7-inch step-thru city commuter with hydraulic Tektro brakes and a 125-mile PAS-1 claim, at $1,099.
The Citypro E-43 is sold out right now. Riding city miles this month? The Foldtan M-160 is in stock at $1,599 — 750W, a bigger 960Wh battery, hydraulic disc brakes, and it folds — shipping free now.
The Citypro E-43 is Addmotor's step-thru city commuter: 500W rear motor, 48V 15Ah UL-certified battery, hydraulic Tektro discs, 26-inch Kenda tires and a 21.7-inch step-over. $1,099 at Redtail, sold out right now; the in-stock Foldtan M-160 covers the same city miles at $1,599 with free shipping.

Why the Citypro E-43

A frame you step into, not over
You swing a foot through a 21.7-inch opening — no leg over the saddle, no balancing act at red lights. The polygon 6061 frame keeps the low cut stiff, and the padded saddle's back handle gives you a grab point for parking it.

Tektro hydraulic discs, both wheels
Hydraulic braking at $1,099 is the E-43's quiet flex — one-finger stops in traffic, wet or dry, with no cable stretch to adjust away. Kenda GIGAS puncture-resistant 26 × 2.3 tires keep the commute on schedule.

A 125-mile PAS-1 claim from 720Wh
Addmotor rates the UL-certified 48V 15Ah pack at 125 miles in PAS 1 — an estimate by their own policy, and even a third of it covers a week of five-mile round trips. Charge overnight from any outlet with the included charger.
What stands out on the spec sheet
- Hydraulic Tektro discs — rare under $1,100 and printed on the E-43's own sheet
- UL-certified battery per Addmotor's technical table
- 66 lb with battery — the lightest full-size Addmotor we list
- 22 owner reviews at 5.0 on Addmotor's own store at our pull
- Turn-signal taillight with brake light, powered by the main battery

Who the Citypro E-43 fits
It’s your trike if
- City commuters who want a true low step-over — 21.7 inches, skirt-and-work-clothes friendly
- Riders 5'4"–5'11" per Addmotor's published fit table
- Buyers who want hydraulic brakes at a four-figure-low price — Tektro hydraulic discs are on the E-43's own spec sheet
- Errand riders: 66 lb total weight is the lightest full-size Addmotor we list
Riding a different ride? We stock it
- You need a bike you can buy today — the Foldtan M-160 is in stock now with a bigger battery and the same hydraulic brakes.
- Cargo is the daily job — the Garootan M-81 carries 400 lb for $100 more.
Straight answers before you order
The E-43 is sold out — on our store and on Addmotor's own store, checked 2026-08-29.
This page stays honest about that instead of taking an order we can't fill. The in-stock city pick is the Foldtan M-160: same 20 mph class, bigger 960Wh battery, hydraulic brakes, $1,599 shipping free this week. See the Foldtan M-160.
500W is the smallest motor in our Addmotor range.
On a 66 lb bike with a 250 lb payload rating it is correctly sized — flat-city commuting doesn't spend watts, hills and cargo do. If your route climbs, the 750W Foldtan M-160 is the honest upgrade. Compare the M-160.
Addmotor prohibits delivery to New York City, including billing addresses, under Local Law 39 — printed in the E-43's own delivery table.
Everywhere else in the lower 48 ships free. On the NYC line? Ask us and we'll confirm current status before you order anything.
What you get with the order
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch. Trikes ship large; an adult signature is required at delivery.
Delivery protection
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Trikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Addmotor's own return policy applies when you buy direct: 14 days, under 10 miles on the odometer, and a condition-based 10–30% restocking fee they set after inspection. Buy here and Redtail's terms apply instead — unopened orders within 3 days of delivery at a flat 15% restocking fee, a number you know before you pay, never a grade handed down after. Full terms: Redtail Refund & Return Policy.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Addmotor has suspended e-bike and e-trike shipments to New York City (all five boroughs) under its current shipping policy, so we cannot deliver this model to NYC addresses right now — email us and we'll confirm status before you order. Full terms: Redtail Shipping Policy · Redtail Refund & Return Policy. Addmotor publishes its own shipping and return terms, which apply to orders placed directly with Addmotor, not to orders placed here.
Owning it in your state
Built for city blocks, bike lanes and paved paths: fully operable pedals, a 500-watt motor — inside the federal low-speed electric bicycle definition's 'less than 750 watts' line (15 U.S.C. § 2085) — and assistance capped at 20 mph, right at that definition's speed figure. Your state writes the street and path rules. The details for your state are in our state-by-state e-bike law guide.

How to read this spec sheet
Where Addmotor's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Addmotor's stat strip prints 'Payload Capacity 250 LBS' while its technical table prints '250+50 LBS' — the table's rider-plus-rack split is the fuller figure and both are quoted.
- The 125-mile range figure is Addmotor's PAS-1 claim and, per its own warranty page, an estimate — plan around your assist level, not the headline.
- Addmotor's page claims UL certification for the battery in its technical table; no UL 2849 whole-system claim appears, and we print exactly what the page states.
What we counted
We swept Addmotor US's own storefront on 2026-08-29 and counted its two-wheel e-bikes: 8 distinct models, 5 merchandised on its electric-bikes collection page and 3 more (Citypro E-43, Foldtan M-140, Kunlun) live as product pages but absent from that collection page at our sweep. We list all 8, price-matched to their pages the same day.
Redtail original analysis: Addmotor's electric-bikes collection page, sitemap and all 8 product pages, archived 2026-08-29 (trikes and accessories counted separately).
Warranty — and who deals with the factory (not you)
| Component | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Frame | 2 years for the original owner |
| Battery (20Ah packs) | 2 years (13.5Ah and 15Ah packs: 18 months); Addmotor rates its batteries at roughly 800 charge cycles |
| Motor | 2 years (for motors purchased on or after March 1, 2024; 1 year before that date) |
| Parts & components | 1 year — forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, lights, bottom bracket, rims, wheel hub, derailleur, throttle, wiring harness, controller, display and kickstand |
What it covers
Defects in materials and craftsmanship for the original owner, on the components above, for bikes bought new. Warranty terms are locked to the policy in force at purchase.
What you must do
- Proof of purchase from Redtail (your order confirmation is enough)
- Dated photo or video evidence of the fault — Addmotor processes no claim without it
- Inspect on delivery: note visible damage on the delivery paperwork before signing, photograph the box and the part, and report it to us immediately — shipping-damage windows are short and carrier-dependent
Not covered
- Normal wear and tear — tires, tubes, brake pads, rotors, bearings and similar consumables
- Theft, vandalism, or loss
- Damage from ignoring the manual, improper assembly, or incorrect adjustment
- Unauthorized third-party service or parts (unless approved by Addmotor in advance, with a quote)
- Battery damage from power surges, improper or unauthorized chargers, or poor storage
- Abuse, neglect, modification, accidents, or use beyond intended purpose
- Shipping damage not documented promptly with dated photos (and noted on the Bill of Lading for freight)
Addmotor Limited Warranty issued by Addmotor Tech Inc., as published on its warranty policy page. Start a claim by replying to your Redtail order confirmation with photos or video and your order number — we file the claim with Addmotor and manage it on your behalf; Addmotor ships approved replacement parts within 1–10 business days of an accepted claim.
Frequently asked questions
How fast does the Citypro E-43 go?
20 mph assisted, published in Addmotor's own technical table — the speed the federal low-speed e-bike definition is written around, and the ceiling in every mode.
Is Addmotor a good brand?
Addmotor has built e-bikes since 2011, publishes UL battery certification on this model, and backs it with a written 2-year warranty on frame, motor and battery classes. Buying at Redtail adds the piece the brand can't sell you: we file and track any warranty claim for you, with US support on the phone before and after.
How long does the battery take to charge?
Addmotor ships the E-43 with its 48V 15Ah 5-pin US charger; across its published pages Addmotor quotes 8–10 hours for a full charge on its packs — overnight from any wall outlet. The pack is UL-certified per the E-43's own table.
Where are Addmotor bikes made?
Addmotor Tech Inc. is a California company (El Monte) that builds its bikes in China, like most e-bikes at this price. Your order here ships from US stock with free lower-48 delivery, and Redtail — not a factory — handles your warranty.
Where can I buy the Citypro E-43 in the US?
Right here when it's in stock — Redtail is a US dealer with free lower-48 shipping and US warranty handling. It's sold out at the moment; the in-stock Foldtan M-160 covers the same commuting job today.
