Why the LO26 Plus

Wheels

26-inch wheels on a bike that folds

Of the eleven Samebike bikes we sell, the LO26 Plus is the only one that folds on 26-inch wheels; the other four folders ride on 20-inch wheels. You get 26 × 3.0 tires under you, and a latch partway along the main beam folds the frame for the car.

Ride

A fork, a rear shock and hydraulic brakes

Samebike built the adjustable fork and the rear shock to soak up bumps on uneven ground, and hydraulic disc brakes front and rear do the stopping. A Shimano 7-speed, five pedal-assist levels and a thumb throttle take you from a workout to a cruise.

Battery

720 Wh that comes out with a key

The 48 V 15 Ah pack sits inside the main beam and comes out with its key, so you can charge it indoors, away from the bike. Samebike's manual gives 50 to 56 miles on pedal assist and 25 to 28 miles on pure electric.

Colors

Black, White, Gray or Navy, each at the same $999 and each with the red rims. The White one is shown here; every color has the same fork, rear shock, brakes and battery.

What stands out on the spec sheet

  • Hydraulic disc brakes at $999: of the eleven Samebike bikes we sell, only the M20 and the VOYAGER match that at the same price.
  • 30.5 kg (67.2 lb), the lightest of the eleven Samebike bikes we sell, with a 150 kg (330 lb) load capacity.
  • A 20-degree maximum climb angle, printed in Samebike's manual.
  • A 5 V USB port and an electric horn, both listed in the manual.

Who the LO26 Plus fits

Samebike's size chart recommends the LO26 Plus for riders 6'1" to 7'8". Our review also computes the fit from Samebike's own drawing, and on the seat post it draws, 88 to 98 of every 100 riders from 5'6" to 5'10" reach the standard saddle height.

It’s your bike if

  • You want 26-inch wheels on a bike that folds into an SUV, a hatchback or a garage corner
  • Your rides mix pavement, gravel and rough paths, where the fork and the rear shock earn their keep
  • You are about 5'6" to 5'10", where the seat post Samebike draws reaches the standard saddle height for most riders
  • You want hydraulic brakes and a 720 Wh battery for $999

Want something different? We stock it

  • If your trunk is sedan-sized, or you are under about 5'5", the CY20 Pro folds to 34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches on 20-inch wheels, is recommended from 4'9" in Samebike's gallery and from 150 cm on its size drawing, and costs $599.
  • If you want 4-inch tires for sand and snow and still want a fold, the RS-A02 Plus folds on 20 × 4.0 tires, with a 1200 W motor, hydraulic brakes and a 17 Ah battery, for $1,199.
  • If you want 4-inch tires on 26-inch wheels and never need the fold, the RS-A08 II runs 26 × 4.0 tires with a fork, a rear shock and hydraulic discs, for $1,399.

Our LO26 Plus review computes the saddle height, stand-over, lean and hand load for riders from 5'0" to 6'4", from Samebike's own drawing.

Owning it in your state

Samebike lists no e-bike class for the LO26 Plus, so your state's definition decides what it counts as where you ride. Those definitions look at the motor's power, the top speed and whether the throttle moves the bike without pedaling.

For the LO26 Plus, Samebike publishes a 1000 W rated motor with a 1500 W peak, a top speed of 40 km/h (24.9 mph) on its specification table and 15.5 mph in its manual, and a thumb throttle. No CPSC recall names Samebike as of September 26, 2026.

The rules for where you ride are in our state-by-state e-bike law guide.

What we counted. Of the eleven Samebike bikes we sell, the LO26 Plus is the lightest, at 30.5 kg against 31 to 58 kg for the other ten, and the only one that folds on 26-inch wheels; the four other folders ride on 20-inch wheels.

Counted from Samebike's US specification table for each of the eleven models we sell, read October 2, 2026.

Where Samebike prints two figures

Samebike's product page, specification table and owner's manual give different figures for a few specs on this model. Each pair is below, with the one the table above uses.

  • Top speed: 40 km/h (24.9 mph) on the specification table and stat strip; 15.5 mph on the manual's specification page. The table above uses 40 km/h.
  • Peak power: 1500 W on the specification table and in the product title; one motor panel on the page prints 1800W. The table above uses 1500 W.
  • Charging time: 6–8 hours in the manual; 4–6 hours on the specification table. The table above uses 6–8 hours.
  • Water resistance: IP54 in the manual; IP64 for the whole bike, motor, battery and display included, in the FAQ on Samebike's page. The table above uses IP54.
  • Rear suspension: the specification table lists the "Adjustable front fork"; the page's feature panel describes "adjustable front suspension, hydraulic rear shocks", and Samebike's photographs show a coil shock at the rear.
  • Range: up to 110 km (68 mi) at pedal-assist level 1 and up to 55 km (34 mi) on full electric on the page; 50–56 mi on pedal assist and 25–28 mi on pure electric in the manual.

Straight answers before you order

Samebike's size chart recommends 6'1" to 7'8".

Our review also computes the fit from Samebike's own drawing: on the seat post it draws, 88 to 98 of every 100 riders from 5'6" to 5'10" reach the standard saddle height, and the count falls above 6'0". Over 6'0", read the saddle table before you order; under about 5'5", Samebike recommends the CY20 Pro from 4'9" in one chart and from 150 cm in the other. See the CY20 Pro. Read the saddle table.

Folded, it measures 42.9 × 16.1 × 39.0 inches, Samebike's figure.

Measure the trunk or the closet first, height included. For a sedan trunk, the CY20 Pro folds to 34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches. Compare the CY20 Pro.

Samebike's 110 km (68 miles) is measured at the lowest assist level.

Plan on the manual's figures instead: 50 to 56 miles with pedal assist and 25 to 28 on pure electric. Our review computes the range by speed, rider weight, hills and temperature. See the range tables.

The tires are 3.0 inches wide.

For sand and snow, the RS-A02 Plus folds on 20 × 4.0 tires, and the RS-A08 II runs 26 × 4.0 on a frame that does not fold. See the RS-A08 II.

It weighs 67.2 lb.

It is still the lightest of the eleven Samebike bikes we sell. Take the battery out with its key before a lift, and roll the bike wherever you can rather than carry it.

Manuals and assembly

It arrives partly assembled. Samebike's LO26 Plus manual walks through the jobs left: fit the handlebar to the stem, fit the saddle with the rear fender, put the front wheel in the fork with its quick release, fit the headlight and the front fender, and install the pedals, left and right. Ask us for the current manual and we will send the file with a plain answer on anything its pictures leave unclear.

Warranty cover, and who files the claim

A fault is our job

If the bike will not power on, will not charge, shows an error code or has a faulty component, send photos or video and your order number. We open the claim with Samebike and coordinate the repair or replacement remotely, start to finish.

What Samebike publishes

Samebike’s warranty policy states: “Frame warranty for 3 years, batteries, motors and other accessories warranty for 1 year.” After the first year, a battery earns “a prorated credit, based on months of service,” toward a new one.

Samebike’s terms, from its Samebike Warranty Policy (us.samebike.com/pages/warranty-policy), read September 26, 2026.

Wear items

Samebike’s policy lists brake pads, rotors, spokes, tires and tubes, chains, chain rings, cassettes and the crankset among the parts not typically covered, as ordinary wear and tear.

Frequently asked questions

How far can the Samebike LO26 Plus go on one charge?

Samebike's manual gives 50 to 56 miles with pedal assist and 25 to 28 miles on pure electric, and its product page says up to 110 km (68 miles) at the lowest assist level. Our review computes about 43 miles at 15 mph on the throttle for a 180 lb rider on flat pavement.

What is the top speed of the Samebike LO26 Plus?

40 km/h (24.9 mph) on Samebike's specification table; the manual's specification page lists 15.5 mph. Ask us and we will ask Samebike in writing which figure applies to the bike you order.

Is the LO26 Plus street legal, and what class is it?

Samebike lists no class for it, so your state's e-bike definition decides where it may ride. The figures those definitions look at are its 1000 W rating, its 1500 W peak, the 40 km/h top speed on Samebike's table and the thumb throttle.

How much does the Samebike LO26 Plus weigh?

30.5 kg (67.2 lb) by Samebike's figure, with a 150 kg (330 lb) load capacity. It ships in a box that weighs 36 kg (79.3 lb).

How long does the LO26 Plus battery take to charge?

Plan on 6 to 8 hours from empty, the manual's figure; the specification table says 4 to 6. Charge the pack on the bike, or take it out with its key and charge it indoors.

Can you take the battery out of the LO26 Plus?

Yes. With the fold open and a turn of the key, the 48 V pack comes out of the main beam, as Samebike's manual shows.

What rider height fits the LO26 Plus?

Samebike's size chart says 6'1" to 7'8". On the seat post Samebike draws, our review's fit model puts the standard saddle height within reach for 98 of every 100 riders at 5'8", 56 at 6'0" and none at 6'4".

Can I pay for the LO26 Plus in installments?

Yes. At checkout Shop Pay offers 4 interest-free installments on the $999 bike, or 12 monthly payments of $90.17 at 15% APR, $1,082.04 in total, subject to an eligibility check.
