What is 'semi-recumbent' exactly?

A halfway point between an upright trike and a full recumbent lounger: you sit in a chair with a backrest, feet forward on the pedals, hands on a tall handlebar — lower and more relaxed than a saddle, but more upright and visible than a racing recumbent. The Freetan adds full suspension to the formula, which classic recumbent trikes rarely offer at this price.

How does one trike fit both a 5'1" and a 6'7" rider?

The seat slides: reach adjusts from 17.7 to 35.4 inches — nearly 18 inches of travel — and the recline and handlebar adjust independently. That's how Addmotor prints the widest fit window in its range. Two-rider households genuinely can share it, with a one-minute adjustment between them.

Why does this premium model claim no UL certification?

We can only report what its page says: Samsung cells, no UL claim — while the cheaper Citytri claims UL 2271 & 2849. We checked the full archived page and marketing payload before writing that sentence. Is it stable enough for riders with balance concerns?

Stability is the Freetan's whole architecture: three wheels, a 3.5-inch published center of gravity, a 60.2-inch wheelbase, and a seat you sit in rather than on. You cannot fall over at a stop. What deserves respect is the same as any trike — take corners at modest speed, since three-wheelers steer rather than lean. The 20 mph cap and torque-sensed assist keep everything gradual.

How visible am I sitting that low?

Lower than a bicycle rider, higher than a full recumbent — and the honest answer is: add conspicuity. The included head- and taillight run off the main battery with a brake-light function, which is a real start. We'd add a tall safety flag and bright clothing for traffic riding, the standard recumbent practice, and neither is included in the box.

What's the warranty and delivery picture?
