Samebike CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel folding e-bike in Black on a white background, drive side: the low step-through frame with the SAMEBIKE wordmark on the down tube, the pack behind the seat tube, the front basket, the rear rack with its padded cushion, both fenders, the front fork and spoked 20 × 3.0 wheels

The Spoked Wheel in Black; the White costs the same $599. The frame folds in the middle, with the pack behind the seat tube.

The same $599 as the CY20 Pro Solid Wheel, with a third more battery: the Spoked Wheel carries a removable 48 V pack of 624 Wh, a 500 W rear hub with an 800 W peak, a front fork, a basket and a padded rear cushion, and it folds to 34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches.

Quick answer

Wire-spoked wheels and a 624 Wh pack: the Samebike CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel is a $599 20-inch folder with a 500 W rear hub (800 W peak), a front fork, mechanical discs and a thumb throttle. Our review's range model gives a 180 lb rider on flat pavement about 39 miles at a steady 15 mph using only the throttle.

Why the CY20 Pro (Spoked Wheel)

Battery

624 Wh for the Solid Wheel's price

Samebike prints "48V 13Ah" on the specification list and "624Wh" on its range and battery panels, where the Solid Wheel's list reads 36 V 13 Ah, 468 Wh, at the same $599. Flip the saddle on its buckle, turn the key and the pack lifts out, so you can charge it on the bike or at a kitchen counter.

Range

About 39 miles at 15 mph on the throttle

Take a 180 lb rider on level pavement: the model behind our review works out 39 miles at a steady 15 mph with the throttle alone, and 61 once easy pedaling of 75 W joins in. Keep a quarter of the pack back and those become 29 and 46, a margin for hills, stops and headwinds.

Fold

Into a car trunk in three steps

Gallery image 22 and the manual agree on the sequence: fold the handlebar down, open the frame's folding buckle, then swing the front half back beside the rear wheel. With the basket off, the folded bike measures 880 × 490 × 850 mm (34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches), and it keeps all 68 lb, so plan the lift.

Motor

A 500 W rear hub that peaks at 800 W

The hub turns the rear wheel at 500 W, with an 800 W peak, and the title line promises "55+Nm". Press the thumb throttle and Samebike says it "provides full electric drive"; pedal instead and five assist levels join in, with a Torque Mode and a Cadence Mode on the feature panels.

Brakes and gears

Cable discs and seven Shimano speeds

Mechanical disc brakes work both wheels, and the rotor on gallery image 20 is stamped 160. Samebike writes that they "provide reliable stopping power for your bike with less maintenance", and the Shimano seven-speed shifter sits under your right thumb, beside the throttle.

Comfort and carrying

A front fork, a wide saddle and a rear cushion

A feature panel gives the front fork "Travel Approximately 80 mm", and Samebike describes the saddle as "A comfortable design specially made for pressure relief". Behind it rides the "Extended rear seat cushion", and the manual's assembly steps add a front basket, fenders and a rear footrest.

What stands out on the spec sheet

  • A 624 Wh pack at $599, a third more energy than the 468 Wh Solid Wheel at the same price.
  • It folds to 34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches with the basket off, in the three steps gallery image 22 shows.
  • A step-through frame whose lowest edge measures 15.2 inches up on Samebike's photograph of the CY20 Pro frame.
  • A thumb throttle, five assist levels and a Bluetooth display that pairs with the SAMEBIKE app, per the manual.
  • A front basket, fenders, a padded rear cushion and a rear footrest in the manual's assembly steps.

Who the CY20 Pro (Spoked Wheel) fits

Samebike prints two rider-height windows for the Spoked Wheel: 4'9"–6'9" on gallery image 18 and 150–210 cm on its size-and-fit drawing. Measured against the Army's 6,068 surveyed bodies, the bike suits riders of about 5'2" to 5'10" best: its frame dips to 15.2 inches, low enough for every height from 4'11" to 6'2" to step through, and its seat post reaches the pedaling formula's saddle height for 99 in 100 riders at 5'4", 96 at 5'8" and 75 at 5'10".

It’s your bike if

  • You need a folder for a car trunk, a closet or an elevator, and still want a long commute from one charge
  • You stand about 5'2" to 5'10", where the saddle reaches the pedaling formula's height for most riders
  • You want a throttle and pedal assist, a basket and a padded rear cushion for $599
  • Your round trip stays inside what our model gives a 180 lb rider on the flat: 39 miles at 15 mph on the throttle, 61 pedaling easily

Want something different? We stock it

  • If you stand over about 5'10" and want a folder whose saddle rises further, the LO26 Plus folds on 26-inch wheels and puts the saddle at the formula height for 56 of every 100 riders at 6'0", for $999.
  • If you want hydraulic brakes and a rear shock on a folder, the RS-A02 Plus adds hydraulic discs and a rear shock to the fold, with an 816 Wh pack on 4-inch tires, at $1,199.
  • If you want a Navy frame or cast one-piece wheels, the CY20 Pro (Solid Wheel) shares this frame, motor and fold on cast wheels with a 36 V pack of 468 Wh, in Black, White or Navy, at the same $599.

Our CY20 Pro (Spoked Wheel) review reads every height from 4'11" to 6'2" against Samebike's photograph of the bike: the step-over, the saddle's reach, how far you lean and how much weight your hands carry.

Owning it in your state

No e-bike class appears anywhere on Samebike's US page for the Spoked Wheel; where you may ride it follows your state's own definition.

Your state's wording will read Samebike's own figures: a 500 W rear hub with an 800 W peak, 32 km/h (19.9 mph) on the specification list, and a thumb throttle that moves the bike without pedaling. As of September 29, 2026, no CPSC recall names Samebike, going by our search of the federal recall database.

The rules for where you ride are in our state-by-state e-bike law guide.

Samebike’s figures, from its US product page and specification table (us.samebike.com/products/cy20-pro-spoked-wheel-portable-commuter-powerful-peak-800w-electric-bike) and its owner’s manual, read September 29, 2026. Metric-to-US conversions are ours.

What we counted. Divide each Samebike's listed battery energy by our price and the Spoked Wheel stores 1.04 Wh for every dollar, the most of the ten models we sell with a single pack; only the M20-III, whose two 48 V 18 Ah packs hold 1,728 Wh for $1,499, comes out higher, at 1.15.

Each model's US specification list, the M20-III's page for its two packs, and our own listing prices, read October 2, 2026.

Where Samebike prints two figures

Where Samebike's page, gallery and manual give the Spoked Wheel two figures for one thing, each is printed below; the table above leads with the specification list's.

  • Charging time: 4–6 hours on the specification list; 6–8 hours on the charger panel ("fully recharges in about 6-8 hours"), gallery image 19 and the manual. The manual's charger puts out 2 A, and 13 Ah at 2 A is 6.5 hours.
  • Suspension: "Front fork" on the specification list; "DUAL Suspension" on the stat strip and a "Dual Suspension Systems" panel, and gallery image 17 pairs "The suspension front fork" with a "Comfortable saddle".
  • USB: "USB Charger: No" on the specification list, while a feature panel mentions "our convenient USB ports".
  • Water resistance: the product page's FAQ rates the whole bike, motor, battery and display included, IP64, and the manual's specification page prints IP54.
  • Range: 100 km "Max Range" on the specification list, 50–100 km on the stat strip and gallery image 19, 55–100 km on the battery panel, "up to 62 miles" on the range panel, and the manual's two bands, which match the Solid Wheel manual's for its 468 Wh pack.
  • Weight: 31 kg (68.3 lb) on the specification list and "68.3LBS" on gallery image 18; the manual rounds it to 68 lb.
  • Warranty: the Spoked Wheel page's policy block reads "12 Months Warranty"; Samebike's warranty policy page, quoted in the cards below, gives the frame 3 years and batteries, motors and other accessories 1 year.

Straight answers before you order

Over about 5'10", the post's highest saddle top, 41.8 inches, falls short of the pedaling formula's height for 70 of every 100 riders at 6'0".

Email us your height and barefoot inseam first, and we will tell you where the saddle lands for you. The LO26 Plus folds on 26-inch wheels and reaches that height for 56 of every 100 riders at 6'0". See the LO26 Plus. Read the saddle table.

Samebike's 100 km (62 miles) is its "Max Range", which the range panel measures in "Mode 1, Level1 pedalassist".

Plan on steady-ride figures instead: 39 miles at 15 mph on the throttle and 61 with easy pedaling for a 180 lb rider on the flat, by the model in our review, or 29 and 46 once a quarter of the pack is held back. See the range tables.

The Spoked Wheel stops on mechanical discs, and its saddle and rear cushion do the cushioning behind the front fork.

Samebike credits its mechanical discs with "less maintenance". If you want hydraulic discs and a rear shock on a folder, the RS-A02 Plus has both. See the RS-A02 Plus.

Folded or not, the bike weighs 68 lb, and its box 81.5 lb.

Delivery is free in the lower 48. Line up a second pair of hands for the doorstep and a high trunk sill, and measure the trunk for 34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches with the basket off. Read the weight and box figures.

Manuals and assembly

The Spoked Wheel's manual illustrates eight assembly jobs: raise and lock the handlebar riser, then fit the basket and headlight, the rear saddle (the padded rear cushion), the fenders, the saddle, the pedals, marked L and R, the rear footrest and the front wheel, which drops into the fork with its rotor between the pads and closes with a quick-release clamp. Packed with it: the charger, three wrenches, five Allen keys and a screwdriver. Stuck on a step? Email us its number and we will walk you through it.

Warranty cover, and who files the claim

A fault is our job

If the bike will not power on, will not charge, shows an error code or has a faulty component, send photos or video and your order number. We open the claim with Samebike and coordinate the repair or replacement remotely, start to finish.

What Samebike publishes

Samebike’s warranty policy states: “Frame warranty for 3 years, batteries, motors and other accessories warranty for 1 year.” After the first year, a battery earns “a prorated credit, based on months of service,” toward a new one.

Samebike’s terms, from its Samebike Warranty Policy (us.samebike.com/pages/warranty-policy), read September 26, 2026.

Wear items

Samebike’s policy lists brake pads, rotors, spokes, tires and tubes, chains, chain rings, cassettes and the crankset among the parts not typically covered, as ordinary wear and tear.

Frequently asked questions

How far can the Samebike CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel go on one charge?

At a steady 15 mph on the throttle, about 39 miles for a 180 lb rider on level pavement, and about 61 with easy pedaling, by the range model in our review. The specification list's "Max Range" is 100 km (62 miles), which Samebike's range panel ties to pedal-assist level 1.

Spoked Wheel or Solid Wheel: which CY20 Pro should I buy?

Both cost $599 and share the frame, the motor, the fold and the listed size. The Spoked Wheel carries a 48 V pack of 624 Wh on wire-spoked wheels, while the Solid Wheel carries 36 V and 468 Wh on cast wheels and adds a Navy frame; our two models give 39 against 29 miles at 15 mph on the throttle for a 180 lb rider on the flat.

What is the top speed of the CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel?

32 km/h (19.9 mph), on Samebike's specification list and stat strip. If your state's rule turns on speed, email us, and Samebike's written figure for the bike you would receive comes back to you before you pay.

Is the Spoked Wheel street legal, and what class is it?

Your state decides, because Samebike puts no class on the Spoked Wheel. Its definition will weigh a 500 W rated hub with an 800 W peak, 32 km/h on the specification list, and a throttle that drives the bike without pedaling; our state-by-state law guide sets out each definition.

How much does the CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel weigh?

31 kg (68.3 lb) on the specification list and gallery image 18, and 68 lb in the manual; boxed, it weighs 81.5 lb. Folding shrinks the bike, not its weight.

What is the Spoked Wheel's weight limit?

150 kg (330 lb) on the specification list, the stat strip, gallery image 18 and in the manual, counting you and your cargo together.

Can you take the battery out?

Yes. Per the manual, you flip the saddle with its buckle, turn the key to open the battery lock and lift the pack out, then charge it on the bike or indoors.

How long does the Spoked Wheel take to charge?

Samebike prints 4 to 6 hours on its specification list and 6 to 8 on its charger panel, gallery image 19 and in the manual. The manual's charger supplies 2 A, so the 13 Ah pack needs about 6.5 hours, an overnight charge.

What does a full charge of the Spoked Wheel cost?

About 11 cents: 624 Wh at 18.31 cents per kilowatt-hour, the U.S. Energy Information Administration's July 2026 household average, before charger losses. At 15 mph on the throttle, that works out to about three-tenths of a cent a mile.

How do you fold the CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel?

In the three steps of the manual and gallery image 22: fold the handlebar down, open the frame's folding buckle and swing the front half back beside the rear wheel. Basket off, it packs down to 34.6 × 19.3 × 33.5 inches.

What rider height fits the CY20 Pro Spoked Wheel?

Gallery image 18 recommends 4'9" to 6'9", and the size-and-fit drawing 150 to 210 cm. Across the Army's 6,068 measured bodies, our review finds the saddle reaching the pedaling formula's height for 99 in 100 riders at 5'4", 96 at 5'8", 75 at 5'10" and 30 at 6'0", so riders of about 5'2" to 5'10" fit it best.

Does it have a throttle and an app?

Both. The specification list names a "Detachable throttle", and the manual says the display carries a Bluetooth module for the SAMEBIKE app, which gallery image 15 shows locking the bike, locating it and tracking speed, battery level and mileage.

Can I ride the Spoked Wheel in the rain?

Samebike's FAQ says its bikes "are designed to handle wet conditions" and asks riders to avoid heavy rain, which "may affect battery life and reduce traction". The same FAQ rates the whole bike IP64, and the manual prints IP54.

Where do I find the Spoked Wheel's manual?

Samebike's Manuals and Guides page lists it as the "Samebike CY20 PRO Spoked Wheel User Manual"; the manual link on the product page opens the Solid Wheel's file. The Spoked Wheel's own rates its charger at 54.6 V and 2 A.

Can I pay for the Spoked Wheel in installments?

Yes. Shop Pay on this listing, read September 29, 2026, showed 4 interest-free installments, with sample plans of $199.67 every two weeks for six weeks at 0% APR, $599.00 in total, or $54.06 a month for 12 months at 15% APR, $648.72 in total; each is subject to an eligibility check.

Rates from 0-36% APR. Payment options through Shop Pay Installments are subject to an eligibility check and are provided by these lending partners: affirm.com/lenders. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. State notices to consumers: affirm.com/licenses.

Is Samebike a legit brand?
