Eahora Terra Step-Through Commuter Electric Bike
One hundred dollars over the Luna, and the money goes almost entirely into the brakes. On a hill, that is a good trade.
The Terra is the Luna with better brakes. Same 20" × 15" step-through frame, same 720Wh 48V 15Ah pack, same 1,000W rear hub (1,500W peak, 90 N·m), same coil suspension and 91 lb weight — but four-piston calipers instead of two, for $100 more. Eahora claims 44–58 miles with pedal assist and publishes 28–33 mph. Black was in stock at Eahora on 2026-08-24; Blue was not. $899 to match their price.

Four pistons, and that is the point
Hydraulic discs with motor cutoff, four-piston calipers and semi-metallic pads on 180mm × 2.3mm rotors. On Eahora's own spec sheets this is the only published difference in braking between the Terra and the $799 Luna, and it is the reason the Terra exists: four pistons spread clamping force across a longer pad, which is what you want on a loaded bike going downhill.
1,000 watts, 90 newton-meters
A single brushless rear hub rated 1,000W with a 1,500W peak, sealed to IP65 on this page's own row. Ninety newton-meters from one motor is more usable pull than the Luna II's two 50 N·m units, because it is not being split between wheels.
720 watt-hours, claimed conservatively
A 48V 15Ah pack rated at 1,200 charge cycles to 80% capacity, claiming 44–58 miles on pedal assist and 35–45 on throttle. The two figures sitting close together is a good sign; brands inflating a range usually publish a huge assisted number and a small throttle one.
Four-bar linkage at the rear
An 80mm coil fork and a 4-bar-link coil rear shock with 50mm of travel. On 20-inch wheels the rear linkage matters more than it would on 26s, because small wheels transmit more of every square-edged bump straight into the frame.
Low step, wide seat range
A 20" × 15" steel step-through with a 24.2-inch standover and a seat adjustable from 32.3 to 40.2 inches. Eahora's published range is 5'4" to 6'1", and on this platform its spec sheet and geometry block agree — which they do not on much of the rest of the catalog.

Green flags
- Four-piston calipers at $899 — the cheapest four-piston bike in Eahora's catalog, and the single clearest reason to pay $100 over the Luna
- 48V × 15Ah = 720Wh, exactly as printed, and all 25 watt-hour claims across Eahora's catalog recompute correctly
- Full suspension: an 80mm coil fork and a 4-bar-link coil rear with 50mm travel, the same layout Eahora uses on bikes at three times the price
- Named CST BFT tires and a 48T chainring for a taller top gear
Red flags
- The charger is 48V 2A and no charge time is published anywhere on the page
- The rotors are 180mm × 2.3mm — the thinnest Eahora fits — so the four-piston calipers are working on a modest disc
- No certification is published for this model — no standard number, no certificate, no issuer
- The published 28–33 mph exceeds the 28 mph class ceiling, and Eahora claims no class on this model's page
- Ingress-protection ratings are inconsistent between the Terra and Luna pages — see the notes

Speed and the law — read this before you buy
Eahora publishes this bike's top speed as 28–33 mph for both pedal assist and throttle, and states no class on this model's page. The top of that range is above the 28 mph ceiling the three-class statutes use, and a machine assisting past that ceiling is generally regulated as something other than a bicycle — which can change where you may ride it and whether a license, registration, insurance or helmet is required. Eahora's FAQ page makes a general claim that its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3'; that claim is not repeated here. We print Eahora's number and leave the legal conclusion to your state's statute.

How to read this spec sheet
Manufacturer pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Eahora's own material disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- The Terra and the Luna publish the same frame, battery, motor power, suspension, display, drivetrain and weight. The differences Eahora publishes are the brake calipers (4-piston here, 2-piston on the Luna), the ingress ratings, and $100.
- Eahora publishes no charge time for this model — only '48V 2A charger'. Two amps into a 48-volt pack is roughly 96 watts, the slowest charging in its catalog. We are not going to print an estimate as if it were a specification: the figure is not disclosed, and we will ask Eahora for it in writing if you need it before ordering.
- Eahora's ingress-protection ratings are inconsistent between the Terra and Luna pages: the Terra gives IPX6 for overall use and IP65 for the motor, while the Luna gives IP65 overall and IPX6 for the motor. Both are Eahora's own rows, and we print each page's own figures rather than harmonise them.
- Top speed is published as a plain 28–33 mph range with no bracketed second figure.
- Battery: 48V × 15Ah = 720Wh, matching Eahora's printed figure. The arithmetic is ours.
- Availability: Blue read unavailable on both Eahora endpoints on 2026-08-24, so it is not listed here.
- Warranty: Eahora's coverage table (published only as an image) gives 24 months on the frame; the same page states a one-year claims deadline. Both are Eahora's; we print both.

Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days of confirmation. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch. For freight, the carrier may call to schedule and a signature may be required.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Once an eligible return arrives we take up to 5 business days to inspect it; approved refunds issue within 14 days of completed inspection, and your bank may take a further 2–15 business days to post it.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Frequently asked questions
Terra or Luna — is $100 worth it?
If you ride hills or carry weight, yes. On Eahora's own spec sheets the two bikes share the frame, the 720Wh battery, the 1,000W motor, the suspension, the display, the drivetrain and the 91 lb weight. The published difference is the calipers: four pistons here, two on the Luna, on the same 180mm rotor. Four pistons spread pad load and give better modulation on a long descent. On flat city riding you would struggle to tell them apart.
How long does it take to charge?
Eahora does not publish a figure — the spec sheet gives '48V 2A charger' and no time. Roughly 96 watts into a 720Wh pack is slow, but a real charge curve tapers and we have not measured one, so we are not going to print an estimate as a specification. Ask us and we will get the number from Eahora in writing before you order.
How fast does it go, and is it a Class 3?
Eahora publishes 28–33 mph for both pedal assist and throttle. The top of that range is above the 28 mph class ceiling, so we do not call it Class 3 and neither does its own page. Check your state's rule in Redtail's e-bike law guide before you order.
Is 720 watt-hours enough for commuting?
For most people, yes. Eahora claims 44–58 miles with pedal assist and 35–45 on throttle alone. A 15-mile round trip means charging roughly twice a week. If your commute is longer than about 25 miles each way, or you want to ride all weekend without a charger, the 2,880Wh Juliet is the honest recommendation instead.
What is the difference between the Terra and the Terra II?
The Terra II runs two 750W motors and a 960Wh battery against this bike's single 1,000W motor and 720Wh, for $200 more — but it drops to two-piston calipers, and Eahora's claimed range actually falls slightly (43–55 miles against 44–58). On our pull date none of the Terra II's three colorways was buyable and this bike's Black was. Unless you specifically want two-wheel drive, the Terra is the better-braked and better-available choice.
Is the battery UL certified?
Eahora publishes no certificate, standard number or issuing laboratory for this model or any other. We searched all 162 of its product pages and all eight policy pages on 2026-08-24; the only certification statement anywhere is one FAQ sentence saying its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards'. We will not present that as a certification. If you want documentation before ordering, ask and we will request it from Eahora in writing.
What warranty applies, and who handles a claim?
Eahora's published terms: 24 months on the frame, 12 on the fork, motor and battery, 6 on the controller, 3 on the charger, display, tires, saddle and other parts. Its page also states a one-year claims deadline, which is the figure to plan around.
