Why the E-325
A rear deck built as a room
The 36 × 25 × 23 in box rides on the frame with rails, a bench-friendly floor and an included rain canopy 20.5 in tall — Addmotor's photos show kids, dogs and grocery loads, and the 550 lb total rating (rider included) is what makes those photos honest. The range's only hydraulics, where they matter most
Addmotor fits its EB 2.0 hydraulic discs here and nowhere else in the trike lineup: two 180mm rotors up front, one at the rear. Hydraulics self-adjust, bite harder with less lever force, and fade less on long descents — qualities that scale exactly with the E-325's weight and mission.

On this layout that's not a missing part: the E-325 carries its box on an unpowered two-wheel axle up front and drives a single rear wheel, and a single driven wheel has no use for a differential. The front-box design is what keeps your load — kids included — visible in front of you and low between the front wheels. Ride it like the small vehicle it is: slow, wide turns, and it rewards you with the steadiest loaded ride in the range.

Where Addmotor's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Price: $3,699 is Addmotor's live price; no machine-readable pre-sale price is published, so no compare-at is listed. Addmotor's current promotion bundles gift accessories with the E-325 — bundle contents are theirs to define and change, so we don't list them as specs.
- Differential: the E-325's table prints 'No' — the one current Addmotor trike without one. We treat the disclosure as a green flag and the geometry as a red one; both readings are above.
- The stat strip lists 'UL Certification: 2271' without the 2849 system claim some siblings carry; quoted exactly.
- Weight is published as 198 lb including the cargo box; no box-less figure is published.

Can children actually ride in the box?
Addmotor markets the E-325 explicitly as a family cargo trike and photographs it carrying kids in the railed front deck under the included canopy — that's the maker's positioning, and the 550 lb total rating backs the math (a 250 lb rider still leaves 300 lb of capacity). Use the judgment you'd use with any child carrier: belts, helmets, low speeds, and check your state's passenger rules on our law guides.
Why no differential on the flagship cargo trike?
Addmotor's table prints Differential — No, and on this layout that is the design, not an omission: the E-325 drives a single rear wheel, and the two-wheel axle under the front box is unpowered — a single driven wheel has no use for a differential.
How different are hydraulic brakes in practice?
Two ways you'll feel weekly: less hand force for more stopping (a loaded 198 lb trike stops from 20 mph without a death grip), and no cable adjustment as pads wear — hydraulics self-compensate. The E-325 is the only trike in Addmotor's range fitted with them, which tells you what Addmotor itself thinks the heaviest machine needs.
What's the real range with a full box?
Addmotor claims up to 60 miles at PAS 1 and labels every range figure an estimate — credit to them. Load is the biggest variable they can't publish: expect the claim to shrink substantially with a full box and hills. Even at a third of the headline, a 20-mile working day is inside one charge, and the pack recharges overnight.
How does a 198 lb trike arrive and get assembled?
By freight, on a pallet, adult signature required — and this is the one Addmotor where we say plan for two people or a bike shop from the start. Inspect before signing: note any damage on the Bill of Lading, photograph everything, and email us within 48 hours. Final assembly is bolt-on work (box rails, canopy, handlebar, pedals) but the mass makes it a team sport.
