Eahora Romeo Ultra Moped-Style Electric Bike

The Romeo Ultra is the single-motor member of Eahora's 60-volt Romeo family: one 3,000W rear hub (3,800W peak, 120 N·m), a 4,200Wh 60V 70Ah pouch-cell pack, air suspension front and rear, and 240mm hydraulic discs. It shares the Romeo Ultra II's frame, display and brakes but keeps the load rating at 330 lb and weighs 13.7 lb less. Eahora publishes its top speed as "28+ Mph(42mph)". - Riders who want the 60-volt Romeo platform and its 4,200Wh pack without paying for a second motor — Eahora claims 104–235 miles with pedal assist from the same battery family as the Ultra II

3,000 watts sustained, 3,800 peak
A single brushless rear hub motor rated 3,000W with a 3,800W peak and 120 N·m maximum torque, sealed to IPX6. Eahora quotes the sustained figure first, which is the more useful number: peak power is what a motor survives briefly, sustained is what it will actually hold on a long climb.
4,200 watt-hours of pouch cells
A 60V 70Ah pack of Grade A lithium-ion pouch cells, rated at 1,200 charge cycles to 80% of capacity. Eahora claims 104–235 miles with pedal assist and 70–76 miles on throttle alone. Sixty volts times seventy amp-hours is 4,200 watt-hours — which is what Eahora prints, and we checked.
Air front and rear, adjustable
A dual-shoulder air fork with 100mm of travel and rebound damping, and a damped air shock with 50mm at the rear. Air springs let you set sag for your own weight and luggage; on a 160 lb bike that matters more than it does on a 45 lb commuter.
240mm rotors, two-piston calipers
Hydraulic discs with motor cutoff on 240mm × 3.0mm steel rotors, two-piston calipers and semi-metallic pads. Motor cutoff means squeezing either lever kills assist before the pads do the work — the correct behavior on a bike this heavy.
2,500 lumens, with the horn built in
A 25W LED headlight rated at 2,500 lumens with an electric horn integrated into the housing, and a tail light with a brake-signal blinker. Reflectors on the pedals, spokes and tires. The after-dark basics ship on the bike rather than as accessories.

Green flags
- 60V × 70Ah = 4,200Wh, exactly as printed. We recomputed every watt-hour figure across all 25 Eahora spec sheets and all 25 were right — that is a real and checkable green flag at this price
- Cycle life is published: ≥1,200 charge cycles to 80% of capacity, with the cell format named (Grade A lithium-ion pouch)
- Air suspension at both ends on a $2,599 bike, with rebound damping specified on the dual-shoulder fork — most bikes at this price put a coil fork up front and call it done
- Braking specified to the component: 240mm × 3.0mm steel rotors, two-piston calipers, semi-metallic pads, motor cutoff. Named parts mean a shop can service it
Red flags
- The top-speed row reads "28+ Mph(42mph)" with no explanation of the bracket anywhere on the page. Resolve that for your state before you order — email us and we will get Eahora's answer in writing
- No certification is published for this model — no standard number, no certificate, no issuer. Eahora's FAQ says its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards' and stops there
- Eahora's warranty page gives 24 months on the frame in its coverage table and then states a claims deadline of one year from purchase; its own storefront header advertises '1 Year Warranty'. Plan around 12 months
- Charging takes 8–12 hours on the included 67.2V 7A charger. A 4,200Wh pack is simply a long charge, and no faster option is published
- The geometry block published for this bike is identical to the Romeo Ultra II's despite a 13.7 lb weight difference, and its 'Rim Diameter 24" or 57.5cm' row does not reconcile (57.5cm is 22.6"). Treat geometry as indicative
Speed and the law — read this before you buy
Eahora publishes this bike's assisted top speed as "28+ Mph(42mph)" for both pedal assist and throttle, and states no class on this model's page. In the United States that matters: most states define e-bikes in three classes with a 28 mph ceiling, and a machine that assists past it is generally regulated as something other than a bicycle — which can change where you may ride, and whether a license, registration, insurance or helmet is required. Eahora's FAQ page makes a general claim that its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3'; that claim is not repeated on this model's page and does not sit comfortably beside a 42 mph figure. We print Eahora's number and leave the legal conclusion to your state's statute.

Eahora publishes a geometry block for this bike. Read it as the Romeo platform's geometry rather than a per-bike measurement: the identical block appears on the Romeo Ultra II page, a bike 13.7 lb heavier with a 500 lb load rating. The rim-diameter row also gives "24" or 57.5cm", and 57.5cm is 22.6 inches, not 24. Where fit is tight, email us your inseam before ordering.

How to read this spec sheet
Manufacturer pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Eahora's own material disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- Top speed is printed as "28+ Mph(42mph)" and Eahora nowhere explains the parenthesis. We reproduce the row as published rather than resolving it to one number.
- Motor type reads 'Brushless rear hub motors, brushless, IPX6' on Eahora's sheet — the word appears twice and 'motors' is plural for a single-motor bike. The marketing band above it is headed '3,000W Sustained Power DC Hub Motor', singular, and the torque row gives one figure rather than two. Single rear hub is what the evidence supports and what we print.
- Battery: 60V × 70Ah = 4,200Wh, matching Eahora's printed figure. The arithmetic is ours.
- The geometry block is identical to the Romeo Ultra II's despite the two bikes differing by 13.7 lb and by 170 lb of rated load.
- 'Rim Diameter 24" or 57.5cm' does not reconcile — 57.5 cm is 22.6 inches. Buy tires against the 26" × 4.0" spec.
- Warranty: Eahora's coverage table (published only as an image) gives 24 months on the frame; the same page states a one-year claims deadline. Both are Eahora's; we print both.

- Eahora's warranty page sets a 24-month frame period in its coverage table, then closes with 'Claims deadline: 1 year from purchase date.' - Eahora's own storefront header advertises '1 Year Warranty', which matches the claims deadline rather than the 24-month frame row.

Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days of confirmation. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch. For freight, the carrier may call to schedule and a signature may be required.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Once an eligible return arrives we take up to 5 business days to inspect it; approved refunds issue within 14 days of completed inspection, and your bank may take a further 2–15 business days to post it.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Frequently asked questions
How fast does the Romeo Ultra go?
Eahora's spec row says "28+ Mph(42mph)" for both pedal assist and throttle and does not explain the bracket. The natural reading is a delivered speed with a higher capability behind it. If the delivered figure matters for your state — and it should — email support@redtailebikes.com and we will get Eahora's answer in writing before you order.
Is this a Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike?
Eahora states no class on this model's page. Its general FAQ says its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3', but Class 3 tops out at 28 mph in the three-class statutes and this bike's own row prints 42. A class is a legal conclusion under your state's law, not a marketing choice, so we do not assign one. Check your state in Redtail's e-bike law guide and ask us if it is unclear.
Is the battery UL certified?
Eahora publishes no certificate, standard number or issuing laboratory for this model or any other. We searched all 162 of its product pages and all eight policy pages on 2026-08-24; the only certification statement anywhere is one FAQ sentence saying its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards'. We will not present that as a certification. If you want documentation before ordering, say so and we will request it from Eahora in writing.
How is this different from the Romeo Ultra II?
One motor instead of two, and $1,000 less. The Ultra runs a single 3,000W rear hub (3,800W peak, 120 N·m) against the Ultra II's dual 2,500W motors (2 × 125 N·m); a 70Ah/4,200Wh pack against 80Ah/4,800Wh; a 330 lb load rating against 500 lb; and Eahora's 42 mph bracket against 50. It also weighs 13.7 lb less, which you notice every time you move it by hand. Frame, display, brakes and suspension are shared.
How long does a charge take?
Eahora quotes 8–12 hours with the included 67.2V 7A quick charger. At 60V and 7A that is roughly 420 watts going in, so a full 4,200Wh pack needs about ten hours of ideal-rate charging before the taper near the top. It is an overnight bike, and no faster charger is published for it.
Can I set the suspension up for my weight?
Yes — that is the point of air. The 100mm fork is adjustable with rebound damping and the 50mm rear shock is damped air, so both can be pumped to suit your weight and whatever you are carrying. Coil suspension at this price is set at the factory for an average rider and you live with it; air is the more useful specification on a 160 lb bike.
What warranty applies, and who handles a claim?
Eahora's published terms: 24 months on the frame, 12 on the fork, motor and battery, 6 on the controller, 3 on the charger, display, tires, saddle and other parts. Its page also states a one-year claims deadline, which is the figure to plan around.
