The Wild Cat Ultra A-340 in detail
One motor, 3,000W peak, 130 N·m
A single 3,000W brushless peak motor rated at 130 N·m. Freesky puts it at 37 mph — faster than either 4,000W dual-motor bike in the range, because a dual-motor system splits its budget across two hubs and carries the weight of both. One good motor in one wheel is a defensible engineering answer.
83 lb, and why that is the headline
Twelve pounds lighter than the Ranger Air, sixteen lighter than the Eurostar, thirty-nine lighter than the Cheetah. On a bike you may have to lift, drag out of a ditch or push home, 83 lb is a materially different object from 95 lb — and it is the single motor that buys it.
48V 25Ah, charged in 4–6 hours
Freesky rates 60–105 miles from the FP4825R0 pack, and charges it in 4–6 hours — two to four hours faster than the same pack in the Ranger Air and Eurostar Turbo. Same battery, less draw on it.
Downhill full suspension, 26 × 4.0
Downhill full suspension front and rear on 26.0" × 4.0" fat tires, with 180 mm four-piston hydraulic brakes. The same running gear as bikes several hundred dollars further up the range, on a lighter platform.

- At 37 mph assisted, this is outside every US e-bike class. Off-road and private land, not bike paths.

- Cadence (speed) sensor rather than a torque sensor — assist comes on with pedal rotation, not with how hard you push.

Speed and the law
Outside the federal and state e-bike definitions — off-road and private land
Freesky rates this bike at 37 mph under pedal assist. The federal low-speed electric bicycle definition (15 U.S.C. § 2085) and every state three-class framework stop at 28 mph, so this machine sits outside them on speed alone — before wattage is even reached. It is not a Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike, and we will not sell it as one.
Freesky does not publish a rated (nominal) motor wattage for any bike in this range; the figures they publish are peak. The statutory tests are written against the rated figure, so the wattage limb of those tests cannot be run on published data. We say that rather than substitute the peak number, which would be the wrong number.
Freesky's own manual puts it this way: “laws regulating the use of battery-operated bicycles on public roads, parks, and other open areas may vary by state and locality. It is important to consult with your local authorities before riding your e-bike in public areas.” Buy it for private land, OHV areas, and anywhere motor-vehicle rules allow. Check your own state and city before you ride it anywhere public — and ask us, we will put the answer in writing.

How to read this spec sheet
Peak, not rated
Freesky publishes peak motor wattage on every model and a rated (nominal) figure on none of them — not on the product pages, not in the comparison table, not in any of the seven user manuals. Peak is the short-burst ceiling; rated is the continuous figure that statutes are written against. A Freesky peak number and another brand's rated number are two different quantities, and comparing them directly will mislead you.
Range is a range for a reason
Every range figure here is Freesky's, quoted as a span. Plan around the bottom of it. Rider weight, terrain, temperature, tyre pressure and throttle use all take from the top.
Top speed is unloaded
Manufacturer top speeds are measured under favourable conditions. They are useful for comparing models within a range and much less useful as a promise about your commute.
Size and fit
Freesky quotes a rider-height range of 5'4"–6'8" for the Wild Cat Ultra A-340, on a 30.9*300MM Alloy Seatpost. That is the manufacturer's fit window, not a guarantee — if you are near either end of it, tell us your inseam and we will tell you honestly whether it will work.

Warranty
Buy the bike from Redtail and Redtail handles the claim. Send photos or video of the issue with your order number and we take it from there — we file and manage the claim with Freesky on your behalf, and we do not send you to the manufacturer to argue it yourself.
Who covers you
Freesky's published warranty says, in its own words: “This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from the official FREESKY website (www.freeskycycle.com).” and directs buyers from authorised dealers to “their respective warranty policies”. Redtail is a dealer — so the cover on your bike is Redtail's, and the claim comes to us.

Shipping, returns & support
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48). Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days of confirmation. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
If something is wrong
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.

Why is the Wild Cat Ultra A-340 faster than the dual-motor bikes?
Because one 3,000W motor delivering 130 N·m in a single wheel does not carry the weight or split the power budget of a two-hub system. Freesky rates it at 37 mph against 34 mph for the 4,000W dual-motor Ranger Air and Eurostar Turbo. On loose ground the dual-motor bikes still have the traction advantage.
Is the Wild Cat Ultra A-340 street legal?
