Who the Rocky Pro A-320 is for
Buy it if
- Riders who want assist that answers effort rather than pedal rotation — this is the only torque-sensed bike Freesky makes
- Shorter riders. The 5'1" fit floor is five inches below anything else in the range
- Anyone who has to move the bike by hand: 77 lb is the lightest here, on the smallest wheels
- Riders who want gears that work — an 8-speed against the 7-speed on every other model
Skip it if
- You want top speed or peak power. At 2,500W and 33 mph this is the least powerful bike in the range
- You want the longest range — 45–90 miles is the shortest here
- You are over 5'11". Freesky's own fit range stops there, and 20-inch wheels will feel small
- You need road-legal. Even the slowest Freesky is five miles per hour past the Class 3 ceiling
The Rocky Pro A-320 in detail
The only torque sensor in the range
Every other Freesky uses a speed sensor: you turn the pedals, assist arrives. This one measures how hard you are pushing and answers proportionally. It is the single biggest difference in how an e-bike feels to ride, it is why this bike is worth $200 more than the Wild Cat, and it is the reason we would put a nervous first-time rider on this one.
Shimano 8-speed, not 7
One more sprocket than anything else in the range. On a torque-sensed bike that matters more than it sounds: with assist responding to effort, having a gear that lets you put effort in cleanly is the difference between the system helping you and the system carrying you.
20-inch wheels and a 5'1" fit floor
20.0" × 4.0" fat tires on a step-through frame quoted from 5'1" to 5'11". Freesky's other bikes start at 5'3" or 5'4" on 26-inch wheels. If you have been told you are too short for a fat-tire e-bike, this is the one that was built for you.
77 lb — the lightest thing here
Small wheels, one motor and a 25Ah pack add up to the lightest bike Freesky sells: 77 lb, eighteen under the Ranger Air and forty-five under the Cheetah. Still heavy by bicycle standards, and still the easiest of these to get up a step or onto a rack.
Full-size brakes on a smaller bike
180 mm four-piston hydraulic brakes and downhill full suspension — the same stopping and damping hardware Freesky fits to bikes twenty pounds heavier and seven miles per hour faster. On the lightest bike in the range, that is a comfortable margin rather than a marginal one.
The honest ledger
Green flags
- Brakes are the real thing: 180MM 4-piston Hydraulic Brakes. Four-piston hydraulics on a bike this heavy is not a given at this price.
- Suspension: Front and Rear Dual Suspension, with a Downhill Full Suspension.
- The complete-system UL 2849 certificate exists, names this model on its face, and we link the PDF — not a badge image.
- Rated to carry 400 lbs.
- Charging time: 4–6 hours.
Red flags
- At 33 mph assisted, this is outside every US e-bike class. Off-road and private land, not bike paths.
- Freesky publishes peak wattage only — no rated figure. Under our own rating system an undisclosed specification scores zero, and we do not guess at it.

U10 128702 0001 Rev. 00, U10 128702 0003 Rev. 00, U10 128702 0009 Rev. 00 — carry the same remark on their face: “The battery is used for off-road LEVs.” That is the certifying body describing the intended use, not our characterisation of it.
Speed and the law
Outside the federal and state e-bike definitions — off-road and private land
Freesky rates this bike at 33 mph under pedal assist. The federal low-speed electric bicycle definition (15 U.S.C. § 2085) and every state three-class framework stop at 28 mph, so this machine sits outside them on speed alone — before wattage is even reached. It is not a Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike, and we will not sell it as one.
Freesky does not publish a rated (nominal) motor wattage for any bike in this range; the figures they publish are peak. The statutory tests are written against the rated figure, so the wattage limb of those tests cannot be run on published data. We say that rather than substitute the peak number, which would be the wrong number.
Freesky's own manual puts it this way: “laws regulating the use of battery-operated bicycles on public roads, parks, and other open areas may vary by state and locality. It is important to consult with your local authorities before riding your e-bike in public areas.” Buy it for private land, OHV areas, and anywhere motor-vehicle rules allow. Check your own state and city before you ride it anywhere public — and ask us, we will put the answer in writing.

How to read this spec sheet
Peak, not rated
Freesky publishes peak motor wattage on every model and a rated (nominal) figure on none of them — not on the product pages, not in the comparison table, not in any of the seven user manuals. Peak is the short-burst ceiling; rated is the continuous figure that statutes are written against. A Freesky peak number and another brand's rated number are two different quantities, and comparing them directly will mislead you.
Range is a range for a reason
Every range figure here is Freesky's, quoted as a span. Plan around the bottom of it. Rider weight, terrain, temperature, tyre pressure and throttle use all take from the top.
Top speed is unloaded
Manufacturer top speeds are measured under favourable conditions. They are useful for comparing models within a range and much less useful as a promise about your commute.
Size and fit
Freesky quotes a rider-height range of 5'1"–5'11" for the Rocky Pro A-320, on a 30.9*300MM Alloy Seatpost. That is the manufacturer's fit window, not a guarantee — if you are near either end of it, tell us your inseam and we will tell you honestly whether it will work.

We pulled Freesky's entire published catalogue on 2026-08-24 — all 60 products and every variant — and counted what could actually be bought that day. Freesky could sell 30 of its own 38 published bike configurations on the pull date — 79%. 0 of its 10 bike models had no buyable colourway at all.

Warranty
Buy the bike from Redtail and Redtail handles the claim. Send photos or video of the issue with your order number and we take it from there — we file and manage the claim with Freesky on your behalf, and we do not send you to the manufacturer to argue it yourself.
Who covers you
Freesky's published warranty says, in its own words: “This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from the official FREESKY website (www.freeskycycle.com).” and directs buyers from authorised dealers to “their respective warranty policies”. Redtail is a dealer — so the cover on your bike is Redtail's, and the claim comes to us.

Shipping, returns & support
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48). Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days of confirmation. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
If something is wrong
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Freesky Rocky Pro A-320 have a torque sensor?
Yes, and it is the only bike in the Freesky range that does. Every other model — Ranger Air, Ranger Plus, Eurostar Turbo, Wild Cat, Swift Horse, Alaska Pro, Cheetah and both Warriors — uses a speed sensor. Assist here responds to how hard you pedal, not merely that you are pedalling.
Is the Rocky Pro A-320 street legal?
No. At 33 mph assisted it is the slowest bike Freesky makes and still five miles per hour past the 28 mph Class 3 ceiling, so it falls outside the federal low-speed electric bicycle definition. Off-road and private land only.
What size rider does the Rocky Pro A-320 fit?
