The important thing about this part is that there is no such thing as "the" Ridstar controller: Ridstar publishes eighteen different US fitments on one listing, from the Q20 Lite to the Q30 Pro, and they are not interchangeable. What we could not confirm
- Amperage, voltage rating, connector type and firmware version. Ridstar publishes none of these for any of its eighteen controller variants, which is why this page cannot tell you which one you need from a specification alone.
- Whether a controller listed for one model will run another. Ridstar sells them as eighteen separate variants, which is the strongest available signal that they are not interchangeable, but it does not publish the differences.
- Our earlier description said "48V 20Ah spec (Q20 fitment)". A controller is not rated in amp-hours — that is a battery unit — and the Q20 is one of eighteen fitments rather than the fitment. Both have been removed.
Before you order
Tell us your model
We need your exact model — not "a Q20" but which Q20 — because Ridstar lists the Q20, Q20 Lite and Q20 Pro as three different controllers. Ridstar's own listing also warns against wiring a controller yourself unless you are qualified.
What you get
One controller. One genuine Ridstar controller matched to the model you tell us. Ridstar publishes no part number, so the model name is the only key either of us has.
Fitting it
Ridstar's own listing says it plainly: do not handle controller wiring privately, and go to a repair shop or its after-sales service if you are not a professional. We would say the same.
Warranty, shipping & returns
Warranty
Ridstar’s limited warranty runs one year from the original purchase and covers hardware and firmware defects. Its own warranty page states that “gear and accessories” sit outside that cover, so treat a spare part as covered by the fault-on-arrival terms below rather than by a year of warranty.
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48). Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Parts may ship separately from a bike on the same order.
If it arrives wrong
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.

Can I fit a Ridstar controller myself?
Ridstar's own listing advises against it unless you are qualified: "Do not handle the wiring of the controller privately. If you are not a professional, it is recommended that you go to a repair shop or contact our after-sales service." That is the manufacturer's guidance and we are passing it on as written.
Will a controller from one Ridstar model fit another?
Ridstar does not publish the specification that would answer that, and it sells eighteen separate variants rather than one universal part. We are not going to tell you they interchange when the manufacturer's own merchandising says they are different parts.
