Ridstar 20 x 4.0 Fat Tire, Black
A genuine Ridstar 20 x 4.0 replacement fat tire in black at $113.95. One thing we cannot tell you honestly: Ridstar sells two candidate tires on its own storefront — an "Outer tire" at $159 and a "20 inch folding outer tire" at $79 — and publishes a size on neither. Which of the two this matches is unresolved, and we would rather print that than pick the flattering one.

What we could not confirm
- Which Ridstar SKU this tire is. Its storefront lists two candidates at $159 and $79, neither with a published size, tread pattern or casing specification. We have asked; until Ridstar answers, this page will not claim one.
- Tread pattern, casing, TPI, bead type and whether it is tubeless-ready. Ridstar publishes none of them for either candidate.
- Whether it is a folding-bead or wire-bead tire — the difference between the two candidate listings' names, and the one thing that would identify it.
- Our earlier description listed fitment for the "K20/C20 series". Those are YVY model names rather than Ridstar ones, and the claim has been removed.

Fitting it
A 4.0-inch fat tire on a 20-inch rim is a two-lever job and the last few inches of bead are the hard part. Deflate fully, work the bead into the well, and take your time — a pinched tube is the usual outcome of hurrying it.
Warranty, shipping & returns
Warranty
Ridstar’s limited warranty runs one year from the original purchase and covers hardware and firmware defects. Its own warranty page states that “gear and accessories” sit outside that cover, so treat a spare part as covered by the fault-on-arrival terms below rather than by a year of warranty.
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48). Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Parts may ship separately from a bike on the same order.
If it arrives wrong
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.

Frequently asked questions
Which Ridstar bikes does this 20 x 4.0 tire fit?
Ridstar's two candidate tire listings between them name the DC26, FM001, H20, H26, MN20, MN26, Q16, Q20, Q20 Mini and Q20 Pro. Because we cannot yet tell you which of the two listings ours matches, we are not going to hand you one of those lists as though it were confirmed. Email us your model and we will confirm before shipping.
How much is a Ridstar replacement tire?
$113.95 here as of 26 August 2026. Ridstar's own storefront carries two candidate tires at $159.00 and $79.00, and publishes no size on either, so a like-for-like price comparison is not currently possible.
Is this a folding or a wire bead tire?
We do not know, and that is the crux of the identification problem: Ridstar's two candidate listings are distinguished mainly by the word "folding" in one title, and neither publishes a bead type or a size. We have asked Ridstar and will update this page when they answer.
Does the tire come with a tube?
No — one tire only. Ridstar sells inner tubes as a separate listing.
Editorial addition: we were not able to observe anyone asking this, and include it because a buyer of this part needs the answer.
