Eahora P5 II 24-Inch Fat-Tire Electric Bike

Twice the motor, bigger hydraulic brakes, and a wireless display — the version of this bike worth owning.

Quick answer

The P5 II is the P5 done properly: the same magnesium-alloy 24-inch platform and 960Wh expandable pack, but with a 1,500W motor at 102 N·m instead of 750W at 85, 203mm hydraulic brakes instead of 180mm mechanical ones, and a wireless CAN display. It is one of only four Eahora models that states a class on its own page. In stock at Eahora on 2026-08-24 and $1,599 here to match their price.

  • 1,500WHub motor, 102 N·m
  • 960Wh48V 20Ah, expandable
  • 203mmHydraulic disc brakes
  • MagnesiumAlloy frame
  • 84.8 lbCurb weight

Who the P5 II is for

Buy it if

  • Riders cross-shopping the P5 family — this is the only one of the three with hydraulic brakes, and the only one in stock
  • Anyone who wants a magnesium-alloy frame: lighter than steel, rust-immune, and unique to the P5 platform in this catalog
  • Riders who may want more range later — Eahora states the 20Ah pack accepts an extra 15Ah battery
  • Buyers who want a stated class on the page: this is one of four Eahora models that publishes one

Or one of these instead

  • You want one published top-speed number — every P5 is quoted as a band (28 to 34 mph here) for pedal assist and throttle together, rather than as a single figure
  • You want fenders or a powered tail light; Eahora specifies neither ('Fenders: None', rear reflector only)
  • You want the cheapest way onto this platform: the P5 Plus is $600 less, though it drops to mechanical brakes and a 750W motor
Eahora P5 II 24-Inch Fat-Tire Electric Bike — 203mm hydraulic, and that is the headline
Braking

203mm hydraulic, and that is the headline

Eahora's row reads '203MM front and rear oil brakes' — hydraulic, on rotors 23mm larger than either cheaper P5's. Both cheaper P5s use 180mm cable-actuated discs. Hydraulic actuation means less hand force and no cable stretch; a bigger rotor means more leverage and better heat shedding. On an 85 lb bike this is the upgrade to pay for.

Eahora P5 II 24-Inch Fat-Tire Electric Bike — 1,500 watts, 102 newton-meters
Power

1,500 watts, 102 newton-meters

A 1,500W DC hub motor with cassette drive and a rated 102 N·m, twice the power and a fifth more torque than the 750W P5. Eahora pairs it with a 48V 35 ± 1A, 12-MOSFET controller. Rated torque rather than peak is the more honest figure to publish, and it is what Eahora gives.

Eahora P5 II 24-Inch Fat-Tire Electric Bike — Wireless, on a CAN bus
Display

Wireless, on a CAN bus

A B04C display that Eahora describes as wireless with CAN. Fewer wires through the headset is fewer connectors to corrode, and CAN is a more robust and better-diagnosable bus than the simple serial links common at this price. It is the only display in Eahora's range described this way.

Eahora P5 II 24-Inch Fat-Tire Electric Bike — Magnesium alloy
Frame

Magnesium alloy

A magnesium-alloy frame in a 24" × 18" size — the only frame material in Eahora's catalog that is not high-carbon steel. Lighter than steel for the same stiffness and immune to rust, which is a durability advantage that needs no maintenance from you.

Eahora P5 II 24-Inch Fat-Tire Electric Bike — 960 watt-hours, expandable
Battery

960 watt-hours, expandable

A 48V 20Ah pack with, in Eahora's words, an extra 15Ah battery available to add — roughly 1,680Wh if you want it later. Eahora does not publish where the second pack mounts or what it costs, so treat the expansion as a question to settle before you buy rather than a specification.

The honest ledger

Green flags

  • 203mm hydraulic disc brakes, where both cheaper P5s use 180mm mechanical ones — bigger rotors and hydraulic actuation, the two upgrades that matter most on a heavy bike
  • 1,500W and 102 N·m against the P5's 750W and 85 N·m: double the power and a fifth more torque for $300–600 more
  • 48V × 20Ah = 960Wh, exactly as printed, and all 25 watt-hour claims across Eahora's catalog recompute correctly
  • A wireless B04C display with CAN bus — fewer cables through the headset is genuinely fewer things to fail, and CAN is a more robust protocol than the simple serial links most budget e-bikes use
  • Eahora publishes "28-34 MPH for PAS & throttle" for this model

Red flags

  • No fenders and no powered tail light — Eahora specifies a rear reflector only, on a bike sold for commuting
  • The geometry block's rim-diameter row gives a 20-inch-bike figure on a 24-inch bike
  • Eahora quotes 28 to 34 mph for pedal assist and throttle alike. The top of that band is above the 28 mph pedal-assist ceiling that defines Class 3, and well above the 20 mph throttle cap many states apply

Speed and the law — read this before you buy

This is one of only four Eahora models that states a class on its own page: its spec row reads 'Class 3 ebike with 5-level pedal assist and throttle.' Two things are worth knowing before you rely on it. First, Eahora quotes a 28-to-34 mph band for pedal assist and throttle rather than a single top-speed row, and the top of that band sits above the 28 mph pedal-assist ceiling that defines Class 3. Second, in many states Class 3 is defined as pedal-assist only, with throttle assistance capped at 20 mph separately; a bike offering both to the same ceiling may not meet that definition where you live. A class is a conclusion under your state's statute rather than a manufacturer's label, so read your own state's rule in Redtail's law guide, and ask us if it is not clear.

Class definitions and the rules that follow from them are state law, not manufacturer copy — check yours in Redtail's state-by-state e-bike law guide before you ride. Size and fit

Eahora publishes a geometry block for this bike, and one row needs flagging: the rim-diameter figure is a 20-inch-bike number appearing on a 24-inch bike. Everything below is as published, with that problem marked.

Measurement Eahora’s figure
Recommended rider height 5'5" – 6'1" (165–185 cm)
Total length 72.8" (185 cm)
Wheelbase 46.6" (118 cm)
Seat height 35" – 38.9" (89–99 cm), adjustable
Handlebar height 42" (107 cm)
Rim diameter published as 16.4" (42 cm) — which cannot be right on a bike specified with 24" × 4.0" tires; do not buy parts against this row
Standover 23.6" (60 cm)
Reach 15.75" (40 cm)
Chainstay length 20.5" (52 cm)

How to read this spec sheet

Manufacturer pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Eahora's own material disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:

  • The P5 II is the only bike on this platform with hydraulic brakes. Eahora's row reads '203MM front and rear oil brakes'; 'oil brake' is the common Chinese-English term for a hydraulic disc brake. Both cheaper P5s use 180mm mechanical (cable) discs.
  • The geometry block gives 'Rim Diameter 16.4" or 42CM' while the tire row specifies 24" × 4.0". A 24-inch tire does not mount on a 16.4-inch rim; buy parts against the tire row.
  • Eahora quotes a 28-to-34 mph band for pedal assist and throttle, and states a class, in place of a single top-speed row.
  • Battery: 48V × 20Ah = 960Wh, matching Eahora's printed figure. The arithmetic is ours.
  • Eahora lists two other P5s — 'P5 Plus' at $999 and 'P5' at $1,299 — whose published specifications are identical to each other but materially different from this bike's (750W against 1,500W, mechanical against hydraulic brakes).
  • Warranty: Eahora's coverage table (published only as an image) gives 24 months on the frame; the same page states a one-year claims deadline. Both are Eahora's; we print both.

Warranty

Component Coverage
Frame 24 months — covers desoldering and material fracture
Fork 12 months — performance failure
Motor 12 months — quality fault, break down, or performance failure
Battery 12 months — quality fault, or measured capacity below 50% of rated capacity (the battery housing is excluded)
Controller 6 months — performance failure
Charger 3 months — performance failure
Display / dashboard 3 months — performance failure
Tires 3 months — cracking or leaking
Saddle 3 months — cracking or damage
Front / middle axle 3 months — performance failure
All other parts 3 months — damage or performance

What it covers

Manufacturing defects under normal use, for the original owner, on the components and for the periods in the table above. Eahora's stated remedy is free replacement parts shipped within the continental U.S.; only bikes it judges unrepairable (its example is a severely broken frame) go back for inspection, and Eahora provides the label in that case.

What you must do

  • Proof of purchase from Redtail (your order confirmation is enough)
  • Photos or video of the fault with any claim — Eahora requires both before it reviews
  • Report shipping damage within 10 days of delivery on Eahora's terms, and within 48 hours on ours — so work to the 48-hour window and you are inside both
  • Use Eahora-approved parts and chargers; its warranty excludes damage caused by anything else

Not covered

  • Normal wear and tear — tires, brake pads, chains and other consumables (Eahora's own wording)
  • Damage from misuse, accidents, modifications, improper maintenance, or non-original parts
  • Water damage, extreme weather, and force-majeure events
  • Second-hand owners and commercial use
  • Damage from crashes, overloading, stunts, or unauthorized repairs
  • The battery housing (the cells and their measured capacity are covered; the case is not)
  • A second motor replacement — Eahora charges for replacement and freight once a motor has already been replaced under warranty
  • Eahora's warranty page sets a 24-month frame period in its coverage table, then closes with 'Claims deadline: 1 year from purchase date.' The two statements are on the same page and are not reconciled anywhere on it. We print both and treat 12 months as the figure to plan around; if you need the frame claim in year two, tell us and we will put it to Eahora in writing before you order.
  • Eahora's own storefront header advertises '1 Year Warranty', which matches the claims deadline rather than the 24-month frame row.

Eahora Limited Warranty issued by Eahora, as published on its warranty page — where the coverage table is posted as an image rather than as text, so every row above was read off that image on 2026-08-24 and kept on file. Send photos or video of the issue with your order number and we take it from there — Redtail files and manages the claim with Eahora on your behalf.

Returns

Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.

Once an eligible return arrives we take up to 5 business days to inspect it; approved refunds issue within 14 days of completed inspection, and your bank may take a further 2–15 business days to post it.

Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.

Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Full terms: Redtail Shipping Policy · Redtail Refund & Return Policy. Eahora publishes its own shipping and return terms, which govern orders placed directly with Eahora — not orders placed here. Buying from Redtail means Redtail's terms apply and Redtail handles the manufacturer relationship on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get for the extra money over the P5?

Two things that matter and one that is nice. The motor doubles from 750W to 1,500W and torque rises from 85 to 102 N·m; the brakes go from 180mm mechanical to 203mm hydraulic, which is the bigger real-world upgrade on an 85 lb bike; and the display becomes a wireless CAN unit. Frame, battery, wheels, suspension, drivetrain and weight are the same. If you only upgrade one thing on this platform, make it the brakes — which means making it this bike.

How fast does it go?

Eahora quotes 28 to 34 mph for pedal assist and throttle together — a band rather than one top-speed number — and its spec sheet reads 'Class 3 ebike with 5-level pedal assist and throttle'. The top of that band sits above the 28 mph pedal-assist ceiling that defines Class 3, and well above the 20 mph throttle cap many states apply. If the number matters for your state, ask us and we will get it from Eahora in writing before you order.

Is it a Class 3 e-bike?

Eahora says so on this model's own page, which puts it among only four of its 26 bikes that state a class at all. Whether that holds where you live is a separate question: many states define Class 3 as pedal-assist only with throttle capped at 20 mph, and this bike offers both. A class is a conclusion under your state's statute rather than a label a manufacturer applies, so check Redtail's law guide and ask us if it is not clear.

What are 'oil brakes'?

Hydraulic disc brakes. It is the standard Chinese-English rendering, and it means the lever pushes fluid rather than pulling a cable — less hand force, no cable stretch to adjust out, and better feel when the pads get hot. Paired here with 203mm rotors, 23mm larger than the cheaper P5s'.

Does it come with fenders?

No. Eahora's component row reads 'Fenders: None', and the lighting row gives a front LED with a rear reflector rather than a powered tail light. On a bike aimed at commuting those are real omissions, and both are things we can quote you a part for — Eahora's own catalog includes fenders and a universal rear light.

Is the battery UL certified?

Eahora states that its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards'. It does not name a standard number or a testing laboratory for this model, so if your building, landlord or insurer asks for a certificate document, ask us before you order and we will request it from Eahora in writing.

What warranty applies, and who handles a claim?

Eahora's published terms: 24 months on the frame, 12 on the fork, motor and battery, 6 on the controller, 3 on the charger, display, tires, saddle and other parts. Its page also states a one-year claims deadline, which is the figure to plan around. Claims on a bike bought here run through Redtail — send photos or video with your order number to support@redtailebikes.com and we deal with Eahora. Inspect the box within 48 hours of delivery.
