The Romeo II is the 20-inch Romeo: a shorter, lower, 143 lb moped-style bike on INNOVA 20" × 4.5" fat tires, with two 1,250W hub motors, a 3,120Wh (52V 60Ah) pack and four-piston hydraulic calipers. It fits shorter riders than the rest of the Romeo line — Eahora's range starts at 5'4" here rather than 5'6" — and charges in 6–7.5 hours. Eahora publishes its top speed as "28+ Mph(40mph)". The Romeo that fits shorter riders
Eahora's height range for this bike is 5'4" to 6'2" with an inseam of 27.1 inches, against 5'6" to 6'4" and 28.7 inches across the rest of the Romeo family, and the standover is 24.4 inches. On a moped-style frame with no seatpost to drop, that difference is the whole reason this model exists.
Four pistons per caliper
Hydraulic discs on 180mm × 3.0mm rotors with four-piston calipers and semi-metallic pads, plus motor cutoff on both levers. Four pistons spread clamping force more evenly across a longer pad than two do — this is better brake hardware than Eahora fits to bikes costing $1,300 more.
20 × 4.5 INNOVA fat tires
The widest tire Eahora publishes anywhere in its catalog, on a 20-inch rim at 28–33 psi. Wide and small is a specific choice: a huge contact patch and a low center of gravity, at the cost of the rollover that big wheels give you on square-edged bumps.
Two 1,250W motors, 200 N·m combined
Dual brushless hub motors at 1,250W and 100 N·m each, sealed to IPX6, with a motors switch on the 4-inch color display. Combined torque is what moves 143 lb plus rider from a standstill; the switch is what stops you paying for two motors' current on a flat commute.
Six to seven and a half hours
A 58.8V 7A quick charger fills the 3,120Wh pack in 6–7.5 hours by Eahora's figure. That is an evening rather than a full night — the practical advantage of a 52-volt, 60Ah pack over the 60-volt, 80Ah packs that need 8–12.

- Four-piston calipers on a $2,299 bike, where Eahora's own $3,599 flagship uses two-piston. More pistons means more even pad pressure and better modulation on a heavy bike
- It is the only Romeo with a genuinely different geometry block rather than a shared one — 72.8" long, 48.8" wheelbase, 24.4" standover, its own numbers
- Cycle life published at ≥1,200 charges to 80% capacity, with the cell format named
Red flags
- "28+ Mph(40mph)" is published with no explanation of the bracket. Settle that with your state before you order and we will get Eahora's answer in writing if you ask
- No certification is published for this model — no standard number, no certificate, no issuer
- Eahora's warranty coverage table gives 24 months on the frame while the same page states a one-year claims deadline. Plan around 12 months
- The fork is 80mm of hydraulic travel — the shortest in the Romeo line — and on 20-inch wheels the suspension has more work to do, not less
- Only one colorway is published, so there is no fallback if Black is not what you wanted
Speed and the law — read this before you buy
Eahora publishes this bike's assisted top speed as "28+ Mph(40mph)" for both pedal assist and throttle, and states no class on this model's page. Most US states define e-bikes in three classes with a 28 mph ceiling, and a machine assisting past that ceiling is generally regulated as something other than a bicycle — which can change where you may ride it and whether a license, registration, insurance or helmet is required. Eahora's FAQ page makes a general claim that its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3'; that claim is not repeated here and does not sit comfortably beside a 40 mph figure. We print Eahora's number and leave the legal conclusion to your state's statute.

How to read this spec sheet
Manufacturer pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Eahora's own material disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- Top speed is printed as "28+ Mph(40mph)" and Eahora nowhere explains the parenthesis. We reproduce the row as published.
- Battery: 52V × 60Ah = 3,120Wh, matching Eahora's printed figure. The arithmetic is ours.
- This is the only Romeo whose geometry block is not shared with another listing, and the only one with no rim-diameter row — so the inch/centimetre mismatch that affects the 26-inch Romeos does not arise here.
- The tire row names INNOVA and the size 20" × 4.5"; that is the widest tire specified anywhere in Eahora's catalog, which is worth knowing when you replace it.
- Warranty: Eahora's coverage table (published only as an image) gives 24 months on the frame; the same page states a one-year claims deadline. Both are Eahora's; we print both.

- Eahora's warranty page sets a 24-month frame period in its coverage table, then closes with 'Claims deadline: 1 year from purchase date.' The two statements are on the same page and are not reconciled anywhere on it. We print both and treat 12 months as the figure to plan around; if you need the frame claim in year two, tell us and we will put it to Eahora in writing before you order.
- Eahora's own storefront header advertises '1 Year Warranty', which matches the claims deadline rather than the 24-month frame row.

Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days of confirmation. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on location.
Ships via trusted parcel and freight carriers — UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight for larger items — with tracking emailed at dispatch. For freight, the carrier may call to schedule and a signature may be required.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours; claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
Bikes with power, charging, or component issues are covered under the manufacturer warranty; Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely at no cost to the customer.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Once an eligible return arrives we take up to 5 business days to inspect it; approved refunds issue within 14 days of completed inspection, and your bank may take a further 2–15 business days to post it.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, and remote areas may incur extra charges or be excluded — contact us before ordering. Frequently asked questions
How fast does the Romeo II go?
Eahora's spec row says "28+ Mph(40mph)" for both pedal assist and throttle and does not explain the bracket. The natural reading is a delivered speed with a higher capability behind it. If the delivered figure matters for your state, email support@redtailebikes.com and we will get Eahora's answer in writing before you order.
Is this a Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike?
Eahora states no class on this model's page. Its general FAQ says its e-bikes 'belong to Class 3', but Class 3 tops out at 28 mph in the three-class statutes and this bike's own row prints 40. A class is a legal conclusion under your state's law, so we do not assign one. Check your state in Redtail's e-bike law guide and ask us if it is unclear.
I am 5'5". Will the Romeo II fit me where the other Romeos do not?
That is exactly what this model is for. Eahora's published range here is 5'4" to 6'2" with an inseam of 27.1 inches or more, and the standover is 24.4 inches; the 26-inch Romeos start at 5'6" and want 28.7 inches of inseam with a 26.4-inch standover. There is no seatpost on any of them, so the frame either fits or it does not. Send us your inseam and we will check it against the numbers before you order.
Why does a cheaper bike get better brakes than the flagship?
We do not know Eahora's reasoning and we are not going to invent one. What its own spec sheets say is that this bike gets four-piston calipers on 180mm rotors while the $3,599 Romeo Ultra II gets two-piston calipers on 240mm rotors — more pistons on a smaller disc against fewer pistons on a bigger one. Both are hydraulic with motor cutoff. On a 143 lb bike the four-piston set is generous hardware for the price.
How do 20-inch wheels change the ride?
Lower and more manoeuvrable, less good over square edges. The short 48.8-inch wheelbase and small wheels turn tightly and keep the center of gravity down, which suits city riding and stop-start traffic. The trade is rollover: a 20-inch wheel drops into a pothole a 26-inch wheel rides across, and the fork here has 80mm of travel rather than 100mm. The 4.5-inch tire is Eahora's answer — the widest it fits to anything.
Is the battery UL certified?
Eahora publishes no certificate, standard number or issuing laboratory for this model or any other. We searched all 162 of its product pages and all eight policy pages on 2026-08-24; the only certification statement anywhere is one FAQ sentence saying its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards'. We will not present that as a certification. If you want documentation before ordering, ask and we will request it from Eahora in writing.
What warranty applies, and who handles a claim?
Eahora's published terms: 24 months on the frame, 12 on the fork, motor and battery, 6 on the controller, 3 on the charger, display, tires, saddle and other parts. Its page also states a one-year claims deadline, which is the figure to plan around.
