Magnesium frame, 24-inch fat tires, room for a second battery — and mechanical brakes, which is the part to think about.
The P5 Plus is Eahora's 24-inch fat-tire cruiser: a 750W geared hub with 85 N·m, a 960Wh 48V 20Ah pack that accepts a second 15Ah battery, a magnesium-alloy frame and full suspension, at 84.8 lb. It is one of only four Eahora models that states a class on its own page — 'Class 3 ebike with 5-level pedal assist and throttle'. Two things to weigh: its brakes are mechanical rather than hydraulic, and Eahora lists a second, identically-specified P5 at $1,299. It was not buyable on 2026-08-24.
- 750WGeared hub, 85 N·m
- 960Wh48V 20Ah, expandable
- 24" × 4.0"Fat tires
- 84.8 lbCurb weight
- MagnesiumAlloy frame
Who the P5 Plus is for
Buy it if
- Riders who want a magnesium-alloy frame rather than steel — lighter and rust-immune, and rare at this price
- Anyone who may want more range later: Eahora states this pack accepts an additional 15Ah battery, taking it to 35Ah
- Riders on 24-inch wheels — a middle ground between the 20-inch commuters' manoeuvrability and the 26-inch Romeos' rollover
- Buyers who want a stated class on the page: this is one of four Eahora models that publishes one
Look elsewhere if
- You want hydraulic brakes. Eahora specifies '180MM front and rear mechanic disc brakes' here — cable-actuated, not hydraulic, and the only bikes in its catalog that are
- You need it now — the single listed configuration was not buyable on 2026-08-24
- You want a powered tail light: Eahora specifies a rear reflector only
- You want certification documents — Eahora publishes none for this or any model

Magnesium alloy, not steel
Eahora specifies a magnesium-alloy frame in a 24" × 18" size — the only frame material in its catalog that is not high-carbon steel. Magnesium is lighter than steel for the same stiffness and does not rust, which on a bike that will live outside or see winter salt is a durability advantage you do not have to maintain.

960 watt-hours, and room for more
A 48V 20Ah pack, and Eahora states an extra 15Ah battery can be added — taking the bike to 35Ah, or roughly 1,680Wh. Very few bikes at this price publish an expansion path at all, and it means a range decision you make later rather than at checkout.

Twenty-four inch fat tires
24" × 4.0" tires on 36-hole, 12-gauge aluminum spoked rims. Twenty-four inches sits between the 20-inch commuters and the 26-inch Romeos: more rollover than the small wheels, more manoeuvrable and lower than the big ones.

Full suspension, adjustable rear
A 100mm-travel mechanical suspension alloy fork and a 500mm adjustable rear shock. The rear being adjustable means you can set it for your weight rather than accept a factory spring rate, which matters on a bike that can carry a second battery.

Shimano 7-speed, named end to end
A TY300 shifter, an M315 derailleur and an MF-TZ500-7 14–28T freewheel on a 44T crank, with a T50 rust-resistant chain. Every part is named with its model number, which is how you want a drivetrain specified if you ever intend to service it.
The honest ledger
Green flags
- 48V × 20Ah = 960Wh, exactly as printed, and all 25 watt-hour claims across Eahora's catalog recompute correctly
- A magnesium-alloy frame at $999 — lighter than steel and immune to rust, where every other bike in this catalog is high-carbon steel
- The battery is expandable: Eahora states an extra 15Ah pack can be added, which is a genuinely useful upgrade path rather than a locked specification
- Named electronics down to the part number — YL91F-H display, Shimano TY300 shifter, M315 derailleur, MF-TZ500-7 freewheel — so a shop can service it
Red flags
- Mechanical, not hydraulic, disc brakes. Cable discs need more hand force, fade more on long descents and go out of adjustment as the cable stretches. Eahora's own P5 II uses hydraulic brakes for $600 more
- Eahora lists a second P5 at $1,299 with an identical published specification — see the notes and the FAQ
- No powered tail light, only a reflector, and no fenders
- No top-speed figure is published for this model anywhere — unusually, given it claims a class that is defined by a speed
- No battery cycle life is published, where most of Eahora's range states ≥1,000 or ≥1,200 cycles
- Nothing was buyable on 2026-08-24, and no certification is published for this or any Eahora model
Speed and the law — read this before you buy
This is one of only four Eahora models that states a class on its own page: its spec row reads 'Class 3 ebike with 5-level pedal assist and throttle.' Two things are worth knowing before you rely on it. First, Eahora publishes no top-speed figure for this model at all — the row simply is not there — so the 28 mph pedal-assist ceiling that defines Class 3 cannot be checked against a published number. Second, in many states Class 3 is defined as pedal-assist only, with throttle assistance capped at 20 mph separately; a bike offering both to the same ceiling may not meet that definition where you live. A class is a conclusion under your state's statute rather than a manufacturer's label, so read your own state's rule in Redtail's law guide, and ask us if it is not clear.
Speed figure as published by Eahora on this model's own page, archived 2026-08-24. Class definitions and the rules that follow from them are state law, not manufacturer copy — check yours in Redtail's state-by-state e-bike law guide before you ride. Not sure how it applies where you live? Email support@redtailebikes.com and we will read the statute with you.

Size and fit
Eahora publishes a geometry block for this bike, and one row needs flagging before you use it: the rim-diameter figure is a 20-inch-bike number appearing on a 24-inch bike. Everything below is as published, with that problem marked.
| Measurement | Eahora’s figure |
|---|---|
| Recommended rider height | 5'5" – 6'1" (165–185 cm) |
| Total length | 72.8" (185 cm) |
| Wheelbase | 46.6" (118 cm) |
| Seat height | 35" – 38.9" (89–99 cm), adjustable |
| Handlebar height | 42" (107 cm) |
| Rim diameter | published as 16.4" (42 cm) — which cannot be right on a bike specified with 24" × 4.0" tires; do not buy parts against this row |
| Standover | 23.6" (60 cm) |
| Reach | 15.75" (40 cm) |
| Chainstay length | 20.5" (52 cm) |

How to read this spec sheet
Manufacturer pages contain marketing, and marketing sometimes disagrees with the spec table an inch below it. Rather than quietly pick numbers, here is every place Eahora's own material disagrees with itself for this model, and which figure we print:
- Eahora lists two P5s with IDENTICAL published specifications and different prices: 'P5 Plus' at $999 (SKU PX1002) and 'P5' at $1,299 (SKU PX1001). We compared all 35 specification rows and all 9 geometry rows on 2026-08-24 and not one value differs — same 750W motor, same 85 N·m, same 960Wh pack, same mechanical brakes, same frame, same weight. The SKUs differ, so they are distinct items in Eahora's own system, but nothing it publishes distinguishes them. We report the comparison rather than resolve it, and we will put the question to Eahora in writing if you want the answer before ordering.
- Brakes are MECHANICAL disc brakes — Eahora's own row reads '180MM front and rear mechanic disc brakes'. Together with the P5 and the P5 II's predecessor, these are the only cable-actuated brakes in Eahora's current catalog; everything else is hydraulic. It is the most consequential specification on this page and it is easy to miss.
- The geometry block gives 'Rim Diameter 16.4" or 42CM' while the tire row specifies 24" × 4.0". A 24-inch tire does not mount on a 16.4-inch rim; this is the figure Eahora uses on its 20-inch bikes appearing on a 24-inch one. Buy tires, tubes and rims against the 24" × 4.0" specification, not the geometry row.
- Eahora publishes no top-speed figure for this model — the row that appears on almost every other bike in its catalog is simply absent here. That is an absence we looked for rather than assumed.
- Eahora publishes no battery cycle life for this model, where most of its range states ≥1,000 or ≥1,200 cycles to 80% capacity.
- Battery: 48V × 20Ah = 960Wh, matching Eahora's printed figure. The arithmetic is ours.
- Availability: the single listed configuration read unavailable on both Eahora endpoints on 2026-08-24.
- Warranty: Eahora's coverage table (published only as an image) gives 24 months on the frame; the same page states a one-year claims deadline. Both are Eahora's; we print both.
What Eahora publishes about certification
Nothing on this page claims a safety certification, because Eahora publishes none for this model. Here is exactly what the record contained on 2026-08-24.
| Question | What the record shows on 2026-08-24 |
|---|---|
| Does Eahora make a certification statement? | One sentence, on the FAQ page, about batteries generally: 'Rest assured, our batteries are meticulously chosen for their exceptional quality and are fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards.' |
| Is a certificate or standard number published for this model? | No standard number, no certificate, no certificate holder, no issuing laboratory, and no list of which models are covered — anywhere in the catalog or the policy pages. Zero occurrences of 'UL 2849' or 'UL 2271'. The only other mention of UL in the whole archive is a customer's unanswered question on the Cupid battery-pack page asking whether that pack is UL certified. |
| What we searched | Every one of the 162 archived Eahora product pages and all 8 archived policy/info pages was searched on 2026-08-24 for 'UL 2849', 'UL 2271', 'UL certified/listed', FCC, ETL, Intertek, TÜV, SGS, UN 38.3 and IEC 62133 (word-boundary matches, case-insensitive). |
Redtail original analysis. The statement above is quoted from the Eahora FAQ page; the search covered every archived Eahora product page and policy page from the 2026-08-24 pull. If a certificate matters to your purchase — and for a battery this size it reasonably might — email support@redtailebikes.com and we will ask Eahora in writing before you order.
What we counted
We pulled Eahora's entire live catalog on 2026-08-24 — all 162 published products — and counted what was actually buyable rather than what was merely listed: 27 of 61 bike configurations across 26 models, and 185 of 292 accessory and spare-part configurations across 132 listings.
Eahora could sell 27 of its own 61 published bike configurations on the pull date — 44%. Eleven of its 26 bike models had no buyable colorway at all. Availability, not price, is the live constraint on this catalog. This listing mirrors that feed: we list the configurations Eahora can actually supply, at Eahora's own price, and we re-sync rather than guess.
Redtail original analysis, counted from Eahora's public storefront feed on 2026-08-24 with a second per-product retrieval the same day; 4 non-merchandise SKUs (promotional $0.00 gift items and one virtual replacement-part SKU) excluded and named in our working notes. Availability moves — email support@redtailebikes.com for a combination not shown here.

What it covers
Manufacturing defects under normal use, for the original owner, on the components and for the periods in the table above. Eahora's stated remedy is free replacement parts shipped within the continental U.S.; only bikes it judges unrepairable (its example is a severely broken frame) go back for inspection, and Eahora provides the label in that case.
What you must do
- Proof of purchase from Redtail (your order confirmation is enough)
- Photos or video of the fault with any claim — Eahora requires both before it reviews
- Report shipping damage within 10 days of delivery on Eahora's terms, and within 48 hours on ours — so work to the 48-hour window and you are inside both
- Use Eahora-approved parts and chargers; its warranty excludes damage caused by anything else
Not covered
- Normal wear and tear — tires, brake pads, chains and other consumables (Eahora's own wording)
- Damage from misuse, accidents, modifications, improper maintenance, or non-original parts
- Water damage, extreme weather, and force-majeure events
- Second-hand owners and commercial use
- Damage from crashes, overloading, stunts, or unauthorized repairs
- The battery housing (the cells and their measured capacity are covered; the case is not)
- A second motor replacement — Eahora charges for replacement and freight once a motor has already been replaced under warranty
- Eahora's warranty page sets a 24-month frame period in its coverage table, then closes with 'Claims deadline: 1 year from purchase date.' The two statements are on the same page and are not reconciled anywhere on it. We print both and treat 12 months as the figure to plan around; if you need the frame claim in year two, tell us and we will put it to Eahora in writing before you order.
- Eahora's own storefront header advertises '1 Year Warranty', which matches the claims deadline rather than the 24-month frame row.
Eahora Limited Warranty issued by Eahora, as published on its warranty page — where the coverage table is posted as an image rather than as text, so every row above was read off that image on 2026-08-24 and kept on file. Send photos or video of the issue with your order number and we take it from there — Redtail files and manages the claim with Eahora on your behalf.

Buying from Redtail means Redtail's terms apply and Redtail handles the manufacturer relationship on your behalf.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Eahora sell two identical P5s at different prices?
We do not know, and we would rather say so than invent a reason. Eahora lists 'P5 Plus' at $999 (SKU PX1002) and 'P5' at $1,299 (SKU PX1001). We compared both pages on 2026-08-24: all 35 specification rows and all 9 geometry rows are identical — same 750W motor, same 85 N·m, same 960Wh pack, same magnesium frame, same mechanical brakes, same 84.8 lb. The SKUs differ, so they are distinct items in Eahora's system, but nothing published distinguishes them. Ask us and we will put the question to Eahora in writing.
Are the brakes really mechanical?
Yes, and it is the single most important line on this spec sheet. Eahora's row reads '180MM front and rear mechanic disc brakes' — cable-actuated calipers, not hydraulic. In practice that means more hand force at the lever, more fade on a long descent, and periodic adjustment as the cable stretches. They still have motor cutoff on both levers. If hydraulic brakes matter to you, the P5 II uses them for $600 more.
How fast does it go?
Eahora does not publish a top speed for this model. Its spec sheet states 'Class 3 ebike with 5-level pedal assist and throttle' and gives no mph figure anywhere — not in the spec table, not in the marketing bands. We looked for it rather than assuming it was absent. If the number matters for your state, ask us and we will get it from Eahora in writing before you order.
Can I really add a second battery?
Eahora states so on this model's page: the 48V 20Ah pack is described as 'available to add an extra 15Ah battery'. What it does not publish is where the second pack mounts, what it costs, or whether the two run in parallel or are switched. Those are exactly the questions to answer before you buy on the strength of the upgrade path, and we will ask Eahora for you.
Can I buy it right now?
Not on the evidence we have — the single listed configuration read unavailable on both Eahora endpoints we checked on 2026-08-24. The page stays up so you can compare the specification honestly. Email support@redtailebikes.com and we will ask Eahora when it is due and pass on exactly what they say.
Is the battery UL certified?
Eahora publishes no certificate, standard number or issuing laboratory for this model or any other. We searched all 162 of its product pages and all eight policy pages on 2026-08-24; the only certification statement anywhere is one FAQ sentence saying its batteries are 'fully compliant with the rigorous UL certification standards'. We will not present that as a certification. If you want documentation before ordering, ask and we will request it from Eahora in writing.
What warranty applies, and who handles a claim?
Eahora's published terms: 24 months on the frame, 12 on the fork, motor and battery, 6 on the controller, 3 on the charger, display, tires, saddle and other parts. Its page also states a one-year claims deadline, which is the figure to plan around. Claims on a bike bought here run through Redtail — send photos or video with your order number to support@redtailebikes.com and we deal with Eahora. Inspect the box within 48 hours of delivery.

How we verified this page. Every specification above was read from an archived copy of Eahora's own product page (www.eahoraebike.com/products/eahora-p5), retrieved 2026-08-24, with the price and every colorway's availability cross-checked the same day against two independent Eahora endpoints. Figures are the manufacturer's ratings, not our test results; where Eahora's material disagrees with itself, the "How to read this spec sheet" section names each conflict and the figure we chose.
