Why the Greattan D
Seven inches wide, on purpose
The D's 19×7.0-inch rear tires are golf-turf-class rubber: enormous contact patches that float over soft ground instead of trenching it. Addmotor pairs them with a 24×4.0 front and the range's widest-duty differential setup. If your riding surface has ever swallowed a wheelbarrow, this is the spec that answers it.
The 20% number
Addmotor publishes that the D's rear axle is 20% thicker than standard — the unglamorous spec that actually determines what a cargo trike survives. With the 500 lb combined rating (350 rider + 150 bed), a 6061 frame and double-wall rims, the D's strength claims come with figures attached rather than adjectives.
Hydraulics and a torque sensor, together
Only the D and the E-325 pair hydraulic discs with torque-sensed assist — the two specs that make heavy loads civilized. Hydraulics stop 148 lb plus cargo without hand fatigue; the torque sensor scales the 750W hub to how hard you're actually working, which changes ride to ride when the bed is the variable.

How to read this spec sheet
Where Addmotor's own page prints more than one figure for the same spec, the table above carries the one we could verify twice, and this list names every such case and the figure we chose:
- Price: $3,799 is Addmotor's live price for the base configuration; dual-battery pricing runs through their configurator — ask us for a current quote. No machine-readable pre-sale price exists, so no compare-at is listed.
- Range: only the dual-battery 120-mile figure is printed in the D's table. Its sibling Greattan L publishes 65 miles for the same single-pack platform — a fair planning anchor, but the L's figure, not the D's; we won't promote it into this table.
- The battery row reads '1*Samsung Cell Battery Pack/2*Samsung Cell Battery Pack' without an Ah figure in the table; the L's equivalent packs are 48V 20Ah, and the D's marketing says 'UL Certified Samsung Battery' — quoted as printed, capacity question flagged.
- Tire size 19×7.0 is a specialty dimension; we'll confirm replacement stock with Addmotor on request before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Greattan D or E-325 for cargo?
Two different cargo philosophies at $100 apart. The E-325 ($3,699) is the enclosed family wagon: a 36-inch box with a canopy, 550 lb rating, city-friendly 2.4/3.0-inch tires. The D ($3,799) is the open flatbed with soft-ground hardware: 7-inch turf tires, the thickened axle, and a deck that takes awkward loads a box can't. Kids and groceries: E-325. Feed bags and fence posts: Greattan D.
Will those huge rear tires ruin pavement riding?
Not ruin — tax. Seven-inch turf rubber rolls with more drag and more steering heaviness on asphalt than the 4-inch fat tires elsewhere in the range; the torque sensor masks most of the effort penalty, and the trade buys flotation nothing else in the lineup has. If your riding is mostly paved, buy the Grandtan; if your riding is why the Grandtan gets stuck, buy this.
What's the single-battery range?
Addmotor doesn't print it for the D — only the dual configuration's 120 PAS-1 miles. The closest published anchor is the Greattan L's 65-mile single-pack figure on the same family platform, which we cite as the L's number, not the D's. If you're speccing single-battery for real distances, email us and we'll get Addmotor's own figure in writing.
How much can the flatbed actually take?
150 lb by rating, on a 29.5 × 17.3 in deck with a 4.1 in rail — dimensions published, so measure your loads. The context specs matter as much: the 20%-thicker axle and 7-inch tires carry the rating honestly, the hydraulic brakes stop it, and the parking brake holds the whole 500 lb combined package during loading. Strap points and a cargo net are your additions.
Is one review a problem?
It's the D's honest situation: a specialist machine, recently added, one 5-star review on Addmotor's store at our 2026-08-24 pull.
