Eunorau 48V 15Ah Secondary E-Bike Battery
This is the second battery that unlocks the long-range figures quoted on Eunorau's dual-battery bikes. Eunorau specifies a 48V 15Ah down-tube lithium-ion pack weighing 9.9 lbs, with a 500–800 charge-cycle life, 2A standard or 3A fast charging, and a BMS covering short-circuit, over-charge, over-discharge and balance protection. $499.

Buy it if
- Owners of a dual-battery-capable Eunorau who want the advertised maximum range
- Long days where a mid-ride recharge isn't practical
- Riders who'd rather carry a spare than plan around charge stops
Look elsewhere if
- Your bike isn't wired for a second battery — check the model's spec sheet or ask us first
- You own a 17" Defender: Eunorau states the 17Ah pack is not compatible with that frame

48V 15Ah, Down-Tube Format
Eunorau specifies a 48V nominal, 15Ah down-tube lithium-ion pack measuring 170 x 140 x 440 mm (6.7 x 5.5 x 17.3 in) and weighing 4.5 kg / 9.9 lbs.
2A Standard, 3A Fast
Charges at 2A as standard or 3A on a fast charger, and Eunorau rates the pack at 500–800 charge cycles.
BMS Protection
The battery management system covers short-circuit, over-charge and over-discharge protection plus cell balancing. Continuous discharge is 25–30A with a 45–60A peak.

Eunorau states it continues to support the product after the warranty period as a manufacturer courtesy, and may ask only for shipping costs on replacement parts.
What you must do
- You are the original purchaser — the warranty does not transfer
- Proof of purchase (your Redtail order confirmation)
- Product registration with Eunorau right after purchase
- An e-bike check-up by a Eunorau specialist or dealer after the first year of use
Not covered
- Ordinary wear and tear — brake pads, rotors, spokes, grips, shifters, brake cables and casings, tires and tubes, chains, chainrings, cassettes, transmission gears
- Labor charges for part replacement
- Corrosion from moisture or heat, and cosmetic deterioration of the finish
- Damage from accident, abuse, stunt riding, racing, improper storage, or neglect
24-Month+ Limited Warranty issued by Eunorau Bikes, a Nevada corporation. Bikes bought for commercial use — rental fleets, delivery, sharing programs — get a 50% reduced warranty period. Shipping, returns & support
Shipping
Free shipping on every electric bike within the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Most e-bikes arrive within 5–10 business days after dispatch.
Ships via UPS, FedEx, or LTL freight for larger items, with tracking emailed at dispatch. Freight deliveries may need a scheduled appointment and a signature.
On delivery
Inspect your shipment at delivery. Damage, defects, or incorrect items must be reported with photos within 48 hours.
If a bike arrives dead, won't charge, throws an error code, or has a faulty component, it is covered under the manufacturer warranty and Redtail coordinates repair or replacement remotely.
Returns
Change-of-mind returns accepted only on unopened, factory-sealed items requested within 72 hours of delivery, with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping. Once a box is opened or a bike is ridden, it is no longer eligible.
Order cancellations carry a 3% transaction fee, because card-processing fees are non-recoverable.

Frequently asked questions
Which Eunorau bikes take this second battery?
Eunorau describes it as suitable for electric bicycles, tricycles and motorcycles running 250W–1000W motors, but the fit is model-specific. On our pages, any bike whose range figure reads "with dual batteries" is designed for a second pack. One documented exception: Eunorau states the 17Ah pack is not compatible with the 17" Defender. Email support@redtailebikes.com with your model and we'll confirm before you order.
How much extra range does a second battery give?
It roughly doubles capacity, which is why Eunorau's headline range figures — 80 miles on the Defender and SPECTER-S, 100 miles on the META26 — all assume both packs fitted. The exact gain depends on terrain, rider weight and assist level.
How long does the battery last?
Eunorau publishes 500–800 charge cycles. That's a manufacturer figure: real-world life depends on heat, storage charge level and how deeply you discharge it. Expect gradual capacity loss rather than sudden failure.
What warranty covers this battery?
Eunorau's 24-Month+ Limited Warranty covers batteries for 24 months against manufacturing defects. It requires registration with Eunorau after purchase and applies to the original purchaser only. Redtail coordinates claims for batteries bought from us.
How does it ship, and can I return it?
Parts and accessories ship within the contiguous U.S. and may ship separately from a bike, which can take longer. Inspect on arrival — damage or the wrong item must be reported with photos within 48 hours. Unopened change-of-mind returns are accepted within 72 hours with a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping; used parts and accessories are not returnable.
